I don't really text numbers much to people. When I text it's usually letters that make up words. I don't know if thats just me, but i don't see how thats a reason not to buy the phone.
the droid take a long time to load? I think its clocked at being one of the fastest smatphones to boot uip. ...You must have had an old flip phone before this that would just pop on when you hit the power button.

doesn't it have a virtual number pad to dial on? just use that! this is a FAST phone and great for texters!!

i agree with grundyman... unless you cut out some load time that wasn't long at all. I've timed my blackberry curve and 7 mins loadup time.
