Do you use a joystick and if so does yours have a massive dead zone? I downloaded the demo and I have this problem, I was hoping the full version would fix this.

When I move the stick nothing happens untill I move it past a certain piont making it impossible to do small adjustments in flight.

at the beggining what i do is get the second set of missles and fire all four of them at the f16s got 4 of them then just easy pickings from there on. i never used to like flying games but this game demo really had me, took me away from playing killzone which shows how much i like HAWX lol

no hud on cockpit view and assist mode kinda ruins the game. why the hell do we have to use an annoying camera to stall the plane.

ubisoft thinks we are too stupid to to fly a plane without assistance.

ERS and assistance mode are a waste of space and why would your wingmen suicide with you lol that their ai is so retarded.

hopefully the real game is gonna be better than the demo but i doubt it.

i loved the demo! downloaded it today. but the assist feature is stupid, i mean im a veteran in combat/flight sim games therefore i want no assist at all just me and the aircraft doing our thing so when i turn assist off it changes camera to some stupid angle where you hardly have any control over the plane.

but i guess its ok all im gonna do is turn OFF the HUD (i would only recommend for experienced players) with camera in cockpit and just not engage in any of the assists

assist off just makes the camera different. if you put in on. you dont have to follow the ERS things. its up to you. press square if you wanna use it. but i use it for dodging missles sometimes. but assist off makes me dodge better in my opnion

yea but we should be able to turn it off without usining that camera and at least on the demo you cant do that which is very annoying and the ers is just for nubs

The ERS is not really for noobs. in the second mission. I cant hit the tanks properly because my missles hit buildings so i make ground hit and give me a proper view of the tank and i just blow it.

fly higher and then straight down if you do it right you should never miss its pretty much what the ers makes you do

but flying low is cool for me. high is just boring and when you fly low it looks for cool like at 80 ft altidude(not that low all the time ofcourse) but people has opnions and i got better at HAWX so i can easily finish the second level now. and if you havent relised. the plane in the first mission is highly aero dynamic. it can do the cobra move while the f 16 cant or the AV 8B but not sure about the su 35 and yes these plane are unlockeble in the demo

yea i do the same thing in fact i like to stay at about 4-10 ft of the ground i have been able to get to 3 ft. i also get bored of flying high but because ubi is so damn retarded and didn't let us use off mode without that camera you cant fly between building easily and yes i did notice you can unlock all planes just by beating the 2nd mission 1 time

Well you cant unlock all 3 planes by playing once. if you play that level again you will get more experince and unlock the su 27 or su 35

you can with the f 16 use the multi target aa missiles on every plane and blow the shit out of everything else with normal missiles

there is only like 2 challenges on the demo and you don't need to do them to get both planes i don't play the 1st mission cuz it sucks and i've gotten both planes with and without challenges all you need is to rank up and it only lets you get to rank 3

it's now official: ace combat rip-off with some new features added (outside view-combat with flight aids off)... yet it looks like AC and plays like AC.

but that's what i love so i'll get that game :D

the voice command is a cool feature... you can control the jet yourself and just shout out "radar" "shoot" "assistance" "engage" etc... also if you hold "x" when you fire a missile, the camera follows it!

and online will be awesome :)

In a real world situation that's what pilots have to do in order to hit a target. What are they going to do? Shoot a missile straight through the skyscraper? Comparing graphics with ace combat they're the same. I play both games, they're both fun cept Hawx is more realistic than ace combat.

Oh and by the way, if you look at REAL gameplay videos, they have harder difficulties and the missiles are more limited I'm not talking like ace combat where it's 70 missiles I mean it's from 200 all the way down to 40 or 20 so it's no so "Arcady"
