  • il est con lui?!

  • HAHAHAH, Dude!!! :D

  • LMAO @ the landing @ 0:59 !! xD

  • I broke 8 vertebrae landing like that so watch ure arse as it is the most painful thing in the world. Get spine protection if speed winging!

  • That second one looked really rough...

  • How do you get into this sport? Like is there a place to formally learn this stuff in the US? It looks like the most fun thing ever.

  • @SuperJew2D2 It is a cool sport, the easiest way to learn is look up your nearest Paragliding club/shop and ask for detail on lessons. Once you have the confidence, just buy the kit and run off your local hills!! Enjoy.

  • FIrst of all don't land downhill :) land against the wind and with it, and brake later. You are stalling your wing too early. That's why you fall and have to take all the speed on your legs.

  • At first I didn't see your hands and thought you were flaring too late, but then I looked and saw that you flared WAY too early! Like glidewatch said, make sure you're straight coming in. Start your flare when you're only about 3 feet off the ground. It's hard to time with a speedwing, but make sure you're no higher than 5 feet. Take a wrap with the toggles and start the flare slowly. If you bump up too much just hold it, wait to descend, then continue to flare deeper.

  • Agreed, landed straighter, faster so you have lots of energy for the flare. maybe think of flying a short box circuit (Upwind, downwind, crosswind, approach)so that you are not doing so much S-ing on the crosswind leg, you could see yourself doing more and more brake to land short, you had no speed left at the end. Keep at it, we've all been there and we are all skygods because we started as expert idiots making enough mistakes to learn! BW bIll

  • flaring too high, speed is your friend, keep it, (the ground is your enemy. )

I don't try to slow down for landing, but rather to level off with the ground so that i am flying level with it just inches above it for as far as possible. This takes room however. Talk to experienced guys you meet about landings, they'll help. Its also good to get your landings filmed so you can see what is happening, and you can video other peoples landings. Then study the videos together with an experienced pilot.
