  • This sound card has a problem, when the network power is used, the sound card disconnects from the PC board.even when the neighbors turn on the light or turrn off....My opinion is that, this product will only bring problems than to solve audio problems, any software that will use the audio interface will suffer when the neighbor will turn off or on the light ...but ... sounds good ...:(This product is not professional ..

  • This sound card sounds great and removes the need for a full mixer. Have you guys seen the new StudioBLADE? Its equipped with the FireStudio Mobile and windows 7. Check out the videos on our channel.

  • Beware! They don't tell you that you need a special chipset. They brag about the chipset in the presonus but, they don't tell you need a special chipset.I still have not found the correct chipset for my computer. If the sound is crap this could be the case. They recommend t.i chipsets. To this day it has not been connected to my computer.I bought over a month ago.It needs the correct chipset or it will sound like crap.

  • @SuperUnlawful ...hi joseph here.. may i know what is a chipset that you're talking about ?.. sorry co's I also bought this thing a week ago..

    thanks

    joe

  • @joejazzmaniac A chipset that you will need to plug the firestudio into your computer.Texas instruments is recommended for good quality sound. It's inserted into your motherboard. You may have one already.I don't.I still have not used my Firestudio.

  • @SuperUnlawful I'm foggy on what you're referring to. Isn't this a Firewire device?? If so, then all you do is plug it into your Firewire port. If you don't have a Firewire port, then you can buy a card for your motherboard or even a Firewire-to-USB adapter. Could you please avoid the term chipset and tell us what specific product you are referring to?

  • @AlexPractical Exactly. SuperUnlawful is just referring to a PCI firewire (1394) card. It's really not that complicated. Many newer motherboards have firewire ports built in. Mine does.

  • @SuperUnlawful the Presonus website actually does show this. Go there and check the system requirements and you will see that they are honest enough to tell the public up front about certain conflicts with other hardware. While I wish it worked with everything out there, I'm glad one manufacturer stepped up to the plate and tells us the truth right up front. Personally, I don't buy ANY computer peripheral without going to the mfg website to see what they have to say first hand.
