Sigh...In Nineties there was enough offer for almost all the likes of the people. We enjoyed games much more than now and We didn't lose our mind in order of bite of a massive consumer choice. This last isn't altogether bad, but at least We could expand our imagination with games like this.
i think this was one or the last games ever to come out on the snes i just remember in it shops in 1997 but i was 9 then and now 24 almost last played it on a snes in 2005 good old days
DKC3 was great - Absolutely brilliant. That being said, I DID have more fun during DKC1. Why? Who the fuck cares, roflmao. I just did, that doesn't make THIS a bad game? :S Get real fagget.
But this game is the one that brings me the happiest memories..I guess it's because I was a little older when I played it (around 10 years old).
DKC2 just makes me sad, because I played it again later on in my life, with my first girlfriend, and we used to drink wine and play the game all night..I was 17 at the time, no need to say that it was special. Stickerbrush Symphony kills me.
DKC1 is just a good game, but no special memories for me...=\
@possefever thank YOU! I completely agree - it was so minimalist and it seemed a big step back in the ambiance level that the awesome DKC 2 soundtrack provided - I thought this one was very sparse and not even up to par with DKC1
Is there anywhere I can find this one. I didn't even know there was a DK3 until I looked on Youtube and watched a few vids of it. The music is good (not DK2/1 good, but good for the levels) and it looks challenging. I want to play it.
The feeling I get with this game is like when you run up a flight of stairs, then at the top realize there was an elevator on the other side. I got what I wanted, but not how I wanted it, if that makes sense.
umm, dude. If you are a fan of DKC, and im sure everyone can vouche for this... DK 64 was very underrated... critics jumped on it... easily the most underrated game on that system, DK 64 was a great addition to the 64 library. I remember reading in nintendo Power "To much collecting" Umm, when has that ever been a bad thing in a game? not like most of the items you collected were required to beat the game... it adds replay value, so many good examples of it being underrated.
i think the problem was not the collecting but the backtracking. you had to get 5 golden bananas, 75 color bananas, 1 blueprint and many coins for each kong in each level, upgrade your moves and weapons, snap some fairies and for all that, the world's were just too big. so rare put teleporters in there, what helped a little, but still it was too much for many people. it was always like "oh a green banana, damn i'm tiny kong, where the ?!$%!!* is the next changing barrel?! gotta come back later"
yea DKC 1-3 were amazing platformer games and were quiet addictive but i think DK 64 was also quiet good i just dont think these Donkey Konga games or whatever they are...quiet hit the mark like the NES/N64 games did
Agreed, DKC 1 & 2 was RARE at its peak....DK 3 was alright but seemed a bit rushed...DK64 was just not the same..ruined by going 3D, i was desperate at the time for another 2D platformer with Nintendo 64 graphics..would of been immense..instead we got trash
you couldn't be more wrong. dkc3 was so not rushed, it had the most and best ideas, best graphics, best gameplay, best music. the only reason why a lot of people like dkc2 better is that it's a bit harder to finish, or they like the atmosphere better (dkc2 was darker, dkc3 is rather atmospheric). that doesn't mean AT ALL that dkc3 was "rushed". i rather think it's the best of the series and the best of the platform games overall.
the graphics for part 3 looked too realistic. for example the rats werent the same and looked weird. as did the wasps kremlings and kongs themselves. this "kiddy" kong is pure rubbish. same moves as dk but no hand slam on the ground. Fer that they sholda made the game with dixie and donkey. And i more thing Dr. Kroolsteinisnt even their nemisis. Twas a sad day for rare. [ they did however redeem themselves with killer instinct and conker].
new episode came with new models that's not weird. kiddy kong had his own moves he could break stuff if thrown, he could throw dixie farther, and could bounce on water. k. rool was their nemesis in this episode just as much as in the others. don't know what's your problem... dkc3 was really great.
the nemisis was dr von kroolenstein not captain k rool, which led me to believe that they were not the same person. so there. and the graphics sucked because they looked too realistic. did you see the sprites for the rats and kremlings. horrable. dkc2 was hands down supirior in every way.
graphic wasn't too realistic. the graphic style of every episode of the dkc series is about mixing the realistic and the cartoonish. all the kremlings and monsters and kongs in dkc1, dkc2, dkc3 are 3D rendered characters. you didn't like how the rats look in dkc3, ok it's your oppionion that doesn't make dkc3 worse.
you have no reason, just stating same thing over and over. dkc3 was superior in many ways, even if you didn't like some sprites.
ok buddy, i understand but the graphics and sprites are the only thing i can critique. Especially because unlike 1 and 2 it had no story just a mindless progression of levels. dkc1 was just finding and riding the island of k rool and 2 was about saving doney. 3 had no premise and also made it bad. ok leave meh alone now.
Respond to this video..who remembers the donkey kong t.v. show? cuz everyone i know they've never seen it, and i was like 9 years old when it came on The Family Channel
@LucasvsNess Actually, it's proven that King K Rool is the same person or Crocodile lol. He changes his appearances and takes on different looks to try and capture the kongs once and for all.
well you gotta take into concideration that by the time that the ps1 and n64 came out that almost makred the end of platformer games that were decent, there were some on the handheld consoles but none that i can name off the top of my head, DK64 was a nice addition to my DK games, while it was nothing compared to the snes games, it still was a very good game and it even had the old arcade donkey kong game in it, again my oppinion
dkc 2 was a bit harder. bonuses and dk coins more hidden, and there were some really badass levels, like the one where you float down in the hive with the parrot.
have you actually ever played these games?? they are epic and they all deserve at least this for recognition. @errormacro90 It doesn't fit the waterfall BECAUSE you can hear it in the background. I can take Thriller and put a waterfall sound effect in the background but It wouldn't fit.
