@emmttk Hey smart alleck - I am not speaking of the content of the video so much as I am stating "my opinion" on the quality. The audio is out of sync so there is no real value from a learning perspective.

BTW, I am taking bass and guitar lessons from a guy that worked with Parliament/Funkadelic (George Clinton, since you probably don't know). In about a month I will post a video tutorial of the song myself.

Kudos to Jonathan as he is a great player and the material is a fantastic choice.

The quality of the video rather sucks because the audio and video are not in sync. The purpose of the vid should be so other can determine the frets and strings played but you can't see anything because of the quality.

If I wanted to simply watch someone play I could watch a concert video of Maxwell.

@dhardway There is value to videos like this for a novice that you are missing. It isolates the bass line so you can more easily pick it up yourself. This is helpful whether you use sheet music or play by ear. If you want to be led by the hand note-by-note, may i suggest you pay for lessons.
