Saw them last night in Newcastle, UK and they were fantastic. Didn't Duncan, himself, say that if folk are going to gigs just to see Ali maybe more than UB40 themselves, then they may be disappointed and that's the key - UB40, along with Duncan, sounded as good as ever.
There is only one UB40 Im afraid and they were at the Rainbow. Robbie Williams is NOT take that, Ali Campbell is Not UB40. UB40 were brilliant at the Rainbow, cant wait for December. ali recks my world u are a complete and utter twat, duncn is amazing, as he said in an interview, if ur gna go see ub40 for a note to note comparison between him and ali, you will be a bit disapointed or if u wanna go see ub40 play there tunes and some amazing reggae music, go see them now. i was lucky enuff to see dunc in his 1st gig at reflex, and he sounds alot like ali did anyways, but ub40 still remain a shit hot band and always will be, i love the band alot. x legends good luck ali. x

Ub40 sound great now, I saw them at the huge Heniken hall in Amsterdam, Duncan the new singer is Brilliant, the band sound fantastic, Loads of shows to go to in the summer 2008

I'm sure there was a lot of discussion before this happened, if Ali and the rest of UB40 were holding each other back creatively because of management issues then Ali leaving can resolve this. Unfortunate that Mickey Virtue has left as well.
