I got one too! It's the updated version of 1525 and its bubblegum pink! WOO! :D My ones called the 1525/1526 and it came out in October 2008 so its New :D

You can download an "OEM ISO image" of Windows Vista. Burn the image to DVD, reboot, press F12 for your boot selection, and your off and running. You will need to input your product key during setup; then activate windows once it is complete.

I just got the dell inspiron 1545 which is a newer upgraded version of the 1525 (in terms of processor, ram and hard drive)

yet it lacks a hdmi and firewire port which i can live without

its also has a glossy feel so you get finger prints on it constantly

overall the 1545 is great

yes it can be noisy....it gets a little annoying but it is a great laptop/notebook.....

the sound however is not the loudest of all inspirons i find it a little low on volume

Just returned my Inspiron Yesterday. Was a very fast computer but I had so many problems with it. It became a hassle. Had all the typical problems associated with a 1525. So I picked up a HP notebook similar to the 1525.

It doesn't come with wifi you get a wireless card that can connect to wifi. It has very good reception though and i hope this answers your questions if not send me a mail :)

umm u dont need to buy a separate card cause the built in wifi is GOOD not the same as using a cord but its GOOD idk about the range on it but i walk around my home and still get the same reception i get 93% with built in card and 100% with cord it is an unnoticeable difference..

Hey i also have the inspiron 1525 with stripe design and glossy screen. The only thing that i've ever not liked is that sometimes when i try to do something with my webcam, it says connect the webcam but it's built in so if you have that problem it's regular ok well goodbye

Umm a regular camera or a webcam? I am guessing a camera. I have a nixon can't remember the name of it at the moment but it's pretty nice. It doesn't have the regular zoom on the outside it's internal which is pretty easy to use and it doesn't have the chance to get messed up in a purse or pocket
