  • Wow, Im going to stop hanging from planes now that I know I could potentially fall on someone or something.

  • Darwin would be proud

  • I hope he had life insurance.

  • I don't know what else to say besides stupid. If that were me, I would make sure that strap was strong enough to hold a decent sized Mack truck; and we're not even talking about the back-up.

  • The last thing to go through his mind? His ASS!

  • Live by the sword, die by the sword!

  • What a dingus! I can't get over how the pilot asks is everything all right down there just as his useless harness breaks! It may have also paid to lose some weight and get some upper body strength so you could hang on a bit longer. The airspeed of the light plane was fairly slow so I don't think wind resistance was a major factor. Jim Bailey was a fool!

  • I will pray for you all.

  • darwinisum,, thinning the herd

  • This is scary...imagine what he must have been thinking! He definitely fucked up by using the tiny ring that came with that strap to secure himself...

  • came home from a day of doing stunts

    and then watched this O_O

  • I assume the belt was Velcro? o.0

  • Jim Bailey. He died for our sins. RIP.

  • Jim Bailey. He died for our sins. RIP.

  • @killmerhonda But nobody is stupid enough to die for your sins, FUCKTARD !

  • Jim Bailey. He died for our sins. RIP.

  • I'm looking for this stunt where a wing walker was on a plane that was upside down close to the ground. When it was time for the plane to rise toward the sky, the pilot erred and dipped the plane towards the ground where the wingwalker's head impacted to ground. His limp body hung from the wing for the plane as it corrected it's path.

  • @sddweller September 13 1975 Reno Air Races – While wing walking, Gordon McCollom of Costa Mesa, Calif. was hanging under a plane piloted by Joe Hughes. It suddenly dropped too close to the runway in what one official called a "freakish downdraft" and McCollom scraped his upper head on the runway, dying instantly. Hughes was able to regain control of the plane and land. The accident occurred directly in front of the grandstand just 15 minutes after Washburn's fatal accident.

  • He Paid $2 for the strap.

  • What a JERK !!

  • self inflicted... no sympathy

  • good planing

  • Why in the hell did he not have special wrist straps for the cross bar ? Why did he not have a fucking parachute ?..I guess if he would have hung on the landing would have been a real bitch .

  • You alright down there BUD

  • Bit of a fat fucker to be dangling from a strand of dental floss. No sympathy. None at all.

  • Exactly what did he accomplish? Proving that you need more than just a chinese-made clasp to keep yourself alive while foolishly hanging from a plane?

  • idiot

  • I feel bad for this guy, but how could he have taken that kind of risk? Are you kidding me? He should have spent more time addressing his risk. I can't believe someone would just fly on the belly of a plane like that with only one small attachment at the waist.

  • @cmilford1969 yeah no shit...what i cant believe is that nobody told him that shit wasnt a good idea...

  • what a silly prick off a man imagine doing that even at the start i could see that wouldnt hold it was stretching to much at his waste now hes dead sad but silly thing to do

  • Darwin was right

  • So basically what just happened stupid rig stupid person stupid way to go. Waste.

  • Why was that little thing holding him up so fucking little?

  • Lesson : Dont challenge your life, God gave us only one life and we should take care of it...

  • He is lucky to have lived as long as he did. Nature has a way of culling out this type long befor they make it to adulthood.

  • I guess the mantra

One Is none two is one never came to mine.

A simple shoulder harness mated to the bar would have given three points of contact.

Even if two give out any should have been rated for at least twice the wind and weight load.

    Darwinism in action.

    That being said

    RIP

  • I guess it is cool to pretend that you think someone getting killed doing a stunt is "stupid". What is truly stupid is the kids trying tricks on boards or bikes with no training or no understanding of geometry or physics and breaking bones. Hundreds of people have strapped themselves to planes or cars etc and not had the safety strap break. You people really must hate yourselves to laugh at this.

  • MAAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OMG that shit was funny.

  • jimbo , shine on you crazy diamond you . 1981 Australian of the Year ! April 1st ??

  • hhahaaha , loooooooool ...he obviosly wasn't an atheist ...so fuck you

  • RIP

  • funny funny funny do it again please!!!

  • He accomplished....a better understanding of gravity

  • Bullshit he was stupid

  • Remember people, cuz ill only say it once: STUPIDITY KILLS. I feel no sympathy when they come on the news and say that some teenage kid fell 200 feet to his death after he rock-climbed with no experience and no ropes. None whatsoever. This guy obviously has a death wish, and if I know anything about life, you do eventually get what you wish for. Occassionally...

  • natural selection: natures way of weeding out the dumb and weak minded. no sympathy.

  • I accomplished something here too...A better understanding of how stupid people can be.

  • What a pointless way to die. A very un-inspiring end but he has very successfully entered himself for a Darwin Award.

  • Actually he failed to fully grasp the gravity of the situation.

  • @MikeMBMr Gravity wasn't his failure. The sudden landing is what did him in. And that crap harness from Harbor Freight Tools for $3.00

  • Rest In Peaces

  • Wonder if that thrillseeker/dreamer/sacrificer skipped?

  • What an idiot.

  • was tied with a bungee cord?

  • Some serious high speed dirt there :(

  • WHY THE FUCK IT SNAPPED OFF. WAS SOMEONE STUPID WHEN ATTACHING HIM THERE ???

  • @extere that person might of been you

  • @Salsuscanis i know. so what s your point ?? I said that someone who secured that guy to that fucking plane was a stupido

  • @Salsuscanis No, it wouldn't. Most people aren't that stupid. To strap your ass to an airplane with a shoulder strap from a laptop case is ...well, stupid. The pilot was stupid, everyone involved was stupid including ANYONE here that defends this stupidity, is ...stupid! Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, got it Stupid!

  • @WaterlooTriumphGuy The only one stupid is your fat ugly self sitting at the computer all day trolling youtube videos. I guess when you die no one will care much less notice.

  • @WaterlooTriumphGuy Yep, you got it. I totally agree, but "trolls" like me and you never get any respect for stating the truth. This stunt is sheer stupidity.

  • he was no stunt man. he was attached to the plane. the second he became detatched from the plane and became a real stunt man, he shit his pants.

  • Yes, there is no "god" and since we all end up as worm food anyway, why not post your address so I can personally come and slit your throat.

  • @scruffyrunkin Or, you be like me, and most other people that are rational and understand that a "god" probably doesn't exist, that religion is a form of control, and that the man had an accident doing something he loved. Your just like every other religious person in this world. A Bigot, that can't accept fate, and contradicts everything that your "religion" stands for. Go burn in your fake hell. It's pathetic that you can say this bad stuff about someone and claim to have a "God". Fuck you.

  • fukin dip shits, dont make fun of this guy at least he lived his life. Most of you cattle out there are a bunch of drones.

    R.I.P.

  • ive watched some stuff on youtube...but this clip really was upsetting.....

life is short people....most of us will live it out to die of old age....without a worry or a thrill........

I dont know what the better choice is.....

  • he was a dumb ass

  • "You doin' alright down there? WHAOAA!!!!

  • Doin' a few pull-ups every morning before breakfast could have paid-off in a big way. What a tragedy... R.I.P.

  • He's Talking to the dude from "Ziplining Guy Ends His Life" up in heaven...

  • Looks like the he trusted his life on a metal hook about the thickness of a coat hanger. And of course no secondary fail system for that. Good video of what not to do, sorry he had to lose his life to show everyone that.

  • The Youtube generation shows it filth and lack of any respect yet again. Be proud of yourselves. Laugh at the tragedy like you can stand above it. You can't. None of us can or will. That's alright though. While men like this challenge life and do something with it, you little twips think you're all that with your "look at me" comments. "Idiocracy" Its not just a movie, it's your future. Have fun with that.

  • @XaldinEdgeGaming Okay, but it doesn't seem like a serious mental condition for someone to have to flirt with death to feel alive? I just don't get it.

  • @frrrrrunkis Granted I was a bit harsh last night, I had see this entire documentary many years ago. Initially he was very daring but took much better precautions. This, I agree with leez, is an example of what not to do, but no less tragic. We are all very human and make many mistakes. Some of them cost us our lives. I would hope that our future still holds compassion for that. It's what seperates us from the "terrorist" mentality no?

  • @XaldinEdgeGaming challenge life!??? looked liked that stupid ass challenged death and lost!! us little "twips" will live to a ripe old age and enjoy more days on this green earth that his stupid ass. that stuntman was the one full of idiocracy. that dumb fuck literaly WASTED his life doing fuckery! his kids are like "oh my dad died from slipping off the axle of an airplane for no good reason(seriously)" what a fucking waste.

  • @scruffyrunkin Everyone dies, Noone wins. Some choose to go out in style. Others choose to wallow in bitterness until "ripe" old ages and accomplish little more than a blip or tweet. How many people do you think he inspired to push limits over the course of his career? Hmm? But you wouldn't care. This "Green" Earth requires a bit of care and handling to stay that way. You have that in you?

  • @XaldinEdgeGaming dude say what you want. hanging from an airplane for kicks aint worth dying for. he died for nothing. what the fuck is he going to say to God? oh, i cut the life YOU gave me short because i was stunting? pffft. what a pathetic waste of time and life. the only contribution he gave to the world was to show people how not to live. it's like ya dad gives you rifle and you then use it to try and shoot beads from between your toes.

  • @scruffyrunkin Fair enough, I concede. The document that had shown his career started with him being brave but much better prepared up until this last stunt. Being as it's about the only thing you can find on him, I feel it's a skewed perspective but, overall you are correct. What God gives us we shouldn't squander. Guess the trick is knowing where that line is from making something of yourself, and throwing it away.

  • This is why you should pick your profession well.. Engineer / or stuntman.

whoever designed that rigging was a fool.

  • What a stupid ending narration! Fucking hell....

  • does anyone else feel NO sympathy for people that die doing crazy shit like this? Someone gets hit my a car? Yeah, that sucks. Guy suspended from the bottom of an airplane by a belt falls from bottom of airplane? Eh

  • @maetar by* a car

  • a special form of suicide.

    Who cares?

  • Knew that was Gunna happen:/ rip

  • He's tied with a silk string or what ? it's their fault .

  • :-(

  • He accomplished just one thing, he died so some schmuck could post an overly dramatic and mediocre video on youtube.

  • i feel bad for the pilot.

  • man that wasn't enough harness protection at all stunt man or not you don't want something like that little clip determining whether you live or die...

  • Take this down, This makes me sick!!

  • Comment removed

  • What was he using for a "safety strap"....lawnchair webbing?

  • DIY Stuntman ? Do what yourself ? Plunge to a senseless death ? What a clown. Some of the comments here are priceless.

  • poor guy

  • stupid

  • "Jim Bailey sacrificed everything to accomplish what he did"...That's an oxymoron!

  • I'm amazed he managed to hold on when the cord broke. And the fear he must have felt hanging there knowing his strength was fading.

  • That was awesome!

  • Bombs Away :(

  • Reminds me of the dummy that fell off an airplane a year or two ago. This was an expensive and stupid suicide.

  • Have you wondered what the last thing to go through his head was? Probably his ass. What a complete deceased idiot. Screwed up his family trying to be cool. Sorry, no pity here. Too many people lose their lives not wanting to die through no doing of their own. Dummy should have used some airline miles and bought a seat in coach.

  • He accomplished something all right. He proved how important to everyone else how important back up systems are, like a second harness, communication with pilot, or, maybe a parachute! Darwin award winner candidate if I ever saw one.

  • @thefoodmercenary "second harness" my ass!! an "important back up system" instead of "a second harness" should have been a second thought!!

  • He didnt hold on ver long

  • I saw maybe the same thing on on TV or something like it. . I could not watch this. But did two people die doing the same thing?

  • If the pilot had known what happened, he could have rolled the plane and supported Jim, then slowly rolled again and Jim could have attempted to crawl back into a position of safety. But then again, if you tempt fate you have to be willing to accept the consequences.

  • natural selection is god's way of eleminating stupid people from the gene pool. Who am I to argue with god's plan. LOL If you don't want to die, don't take unnecessary risk, simple as that.

  • Uh, taking risks like that.... utterly unnecessary. What was he using for support? That looked like a rather small carabiner or something similar. How about just riding inside?

  • damn dumb ass, i called that shit!

  • He just didn't fully understand the gravity of the situation.

  • @oingofan Badum-TSH

  • @oingofan LMFAO! You, sir, are a genius!

  • Comment removed

  • @oingofan hahahahahah ahaha lmfaos great comment

  • another promising candidate for the darwin award.

  • yea he accomplished something alright, DEATH!

  • Comment removed

  • @DerykApathetiq04 You should be a comedian, I'll be sure to laugh at your death.

  • this is the funniest shit i have seen in a long time HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

i hope he was smart enough not to have children... :))

  • @creativechap IF YOU REALLY THINK THATS FUNNY.... YOU ARE THE ONE THAT SHOULDN'T HAVE CHILDREN!!! YOU SICK MOTHERFUCKER.

  • @awdturbo4 actually I didn't think it was funny i thought it was fucking hilarious !!!

he clipped onto the underside of a plane and fell like rock hahahahahah splat.......

  • @creativechap I know..... thats the reason I called you a SICK MOTHERFUCKER.

and I really feel sorry for your children (if u have any) HOPE NOT...HOPE NEVER!

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahlolololololololololololo STUPID SON OF A BITCH

  • What is that holding him up a piece of underwear?

  • fool! 2ndly the one who tie him in the back failed fool also!

  • What was he trying to achieve before the strap broke ?

  • LMAO

  • I guess he used those cheap Aluminium spring loaded clips that say right on them "Not for climbing"..................snap! What a waste of a life....Darwin strikes again.

  • That is just fucking ridiculous! What the hell is wrong with some people???

  • What a fucking twat!!!

  • i dont think he accomplished much of anything.

  • I thought he just dropped in on some friends

  • fool

  • I bet whoever tied him off feels like a douche.

  • thats too bad... he didnt know what he was doing and failed to prepare properly, could have been prevented

  • famous dumbshet

  • @1:09 it sounded more like he was going to sneeze.

  • You do dumb stuff.....then bad stuff happens. This is pure idiocy.....it didn't have to happen. When you "arrange" things in which failure is fatal, you just make damn sure failure is not an option. You don't "let" this kind of thing happen. You do what is necessary so that it can't happen.

  • I guess he wasn't "doing allright down there."

  • Quite honestly, he died doing what he loved. Let it be at that. Sure it was stupid, but as a fellow stuntman myself... I'd have rather died like that than sleeping in my bed as an old man...

  • He died because he didn't appriciate what Jesus has been given to him. A LIFE.

  • what the fuck did he accomplish?

  • Rofl this is so funny lmao!

  • At what point of this video do you think that the stunt man realized he fucked up?

  • For fucks sake, he could have put a goddamn harness on or something.

  • @mitxelus he did have on on it broke off

  • how in the fuck, really ,, really, ,,, a stunt man??? no test for weight? no equitment test,,wtf, so stupid ,,, this was a trainwreck of a stunt, i do feel sorry for him but come on man, pisses me of so bad, its sad but so stuoid, check your shit dude,

  • Disturbing...poor guy....but when you gamble your life, sometimes you have to pay up.

  • So horrifying. I can't even imagine what it must have been like, the thoughts going through his head as soon as that belt snapped. Why the hell was there only that little belt holding him? This could have been SO easily prevented.

  • Pmsl

    Bye jim!

  • he begins to scream or yell as he lets go but the audio comlink snaps so we only hear a milisecond of it

  • take the chute to the plane, leave the helmet home for the motocycle

  • only thing he accomplished was being a complete idiot when he died.......

  • Um what did he acomplish? First I ever heard of him, on this video. Sorry he died, but really, 251,000 views? Not much to take with u

  • @UnscrupulousAgitator

life is not about how many "views" you get.

  • Sorry he died. But what a dumbass...

  • man if your going to do a stunt this dangerous at least be able to have the strength to pull an arm over the bar. this is a really disappointing way to die.

  • Hey you ok down there>? Huh Huh Then falls LOL LOL Love it!

  • What an idiot, Professional? Give me a break. If i did the same stupid thing and died people would say i must have been on crack.

  • I love the responses here....my life has been a whole string of stupid things...

  • Comment removed

  • @raphy1123 thats not very nice now is it.. tut tut

  • He died like he lived, doing very stupid things.

  • Check and re-check all your systems. Use redundency. Use a knowledgable partner to do your checks with you... with a check list. Did I mention anything about checks?

  • Wtf was he thinking...

  • Bailey supposed professional, In the video I saw only one line attached to the airplane, no safety line, he was no professional, just a fool!!!

  • @plasticspastic201 at least he was living his life to the full whos the retard typical pommy git you speak ill of the dead to easy rather be living down under than where your sorry arse resides and i have been there smog, rain, crime, poverty, dickheads like you

  • @cumborah you must have gone to london and seen all the wogs there and thought it was like the USA.. LOL

come to the peak district and eat your words. better still google it and jack your self off to the pics.

  • Rule No.1: Don´t use cheap chinese equipment, dumbass.
