  • this is creepy and funny at the same time! lol great!

  • Hahaha, I'm in high-school and I'm currently being homeschooled and I love it! I've been homeschooled my entire life. I do wear skirts but I ALSO wear jeans and pants. (See, I'm not a freak!) And we aren't dorks. I don't think rock n' roll is bad either, I happen to be a huge rock n' roll fan. :) I'm just a normal teen who happens to be homeschooled.

  • this is funny!

  • I'm homeschooled!!! Im in 9th grade and I do most definetly have friends from church and youthgroup and sports and it's AWESOME being a homeschooler!!!! I love this video!

  • Get the kids out of the governments grasp. Don't let them become another cog in the machine.

  • AWESOME VIDEO! :D I'm homeschooled but I'm not un-socialized. I go to church and have friends there :) One time my friend and I were at the park, when this group of random people our age came up to us and asked if they could share the volleyball court with us. We said yes, and played all together. My friend later told me that she was so impressed on how I'm "so out-going" around others, when she says she has problems with that. & She goes to a public school.

  • That's an awesome video!! Love it! Kylesnuclearfilms...sweetheart, not all homeschooled are unsocialized. In depends a lot on the family and the child. You have to want to make friends. If you're not getting enough socialization, please ask your parents about finding a co-op

  • I'm Homeschoolded And I Agree Homeschoolers ARE Un-Socialized!

  • My children enjoy school so much I can't imagine taking that away from them. I am also very proud to hear good things about them

  • @theresasocksboots My kids enjoy learning so much I cannot imagine taking that way from them. I am very proud to know that we are academic-light years ahead of those who waste their precious opportunities allowing our screwed up government to decided what children should learn and how they should do it. 'Systems' of any origin have no hearts. Heartless entities have no business leading our youth.

  • Great job! So fun!

About the dreaded "S" word: I always say, "Yes, socialization IS a problem, but we ARE trying to cut back!"

Praise God, we have successfully raised 2 wonderful 23 year olds and are working on #3, who is 17. He is completely homegrown (the other 2 went to preschool and kindergarten and started homeschooling in 1st grade). They are all very social and very good at real relationships with people of all ages, including their peers.

Stick with it, moms. It is SO worth it. :)

  • I'm french and I stayed with various homeschool families in California ; that was a pleasure, they were so sweet. I like your video, it is full of hope.

  • Really cute video :) Homeschooling mama here, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Stay strong mamas!

  • ur house <3 is hugee

  • Great Job!

  • How do you teach courses that you never took yourself! Also, I have no patience!

  • @theresasocksboots

You know, homeschooling these days does not depend on knowing all subjects. There are endless resources for learning/teaching ANY subject!

As for patience...well, homeschooling has developed mine, which before was nearly nonexistent. :)

  • You brightened my day. Go girl

  • Whao saxon Algebra 2!jk.(= HATE hat book! lol.but i survied! im going into 8th grade this year and i have been homeschooled since 4th grade....i always say "i hate it!" to people but i was thinking....as a freshman, next year i will be taking college courses and if everything goes as planned i will have my first 4 yeas of college done when i get doone with high school! and i do hav friends!i am NOT social challenged! ugh! IF ANYONE OUT THERE IS A HOMESCHOOL TEEN PLEASE REPLY!!!!!PLEASE!

  • @lolalove111213 Hey! I am a teen homeschooler, but I just recently started homeschooling :) That's great that you are doing college courses for high school!! I'm going to be a freshman and I'm only going to to algebra 1 for my math. Saxon is not my favorite either :( I really like going with Teaching textbooks, however It's pretty expensive. I have friends also!! lol :D I'm not socially awkward, A LOT of people seem to think sooo...lol

  • @peachifiedancer thanks so much for writing! its just good to know your not the only one out there.but i go to a co-op on Fridays.and ya! i have few friends from ublic school (all all just stopped talking to me after awhile) but i have friends from church, co-op, dance, and track.but thanks again! znd i tried teaching textbooks and i liked it. this last year i decided to 'switch' it up. so i tried Saxon....not fun!lol.but not too bad

  • @lolalove111213 No problem! It's always nice to meet other homeschooedl teens! :) I also have a couple friends from public school and some still talk to me, which is pretty cool :) That's too bad the public schoolers stopped talking to you. It's their loss! ;) haha. I'm going to join a co-op group this year and I know it's going to be fun! Good luck with school this year! I'm looking forward to this school year! :)

  • @peachifiedancer ya (= i LOVE my co-op! in mine we have over 500 homeschooled kids.its AWESOME! haha maybe it is there loss. Most of the public schooler that have stopped talking to me are involved in wrong or illegal things.so im glad im not involved with them! how your school year is great!!! and im sure your co-op with be great too! (=

  • @lolalove111213 That's great that you didn't get involved with that. Thank you! Hopefully your school year is great as well! :)

  • @peachifiedancer haha ya (= hope everything is fantastic this year! (=

  • My kids have been homeschooled most of their lives. They love it, theyre very social. Two of them are now in college persuing a career in engineering/aeronotics. And the other two are getting ready to graduate and go on to college.. :-)

  • That was great. A great comedy relief.

  • what a funny and lovely song

  • hahahaha

  • Nice house

  • Why is 'was' spelt ws?

  • @Ayesac Why did you spell the word "spelled" as "spelt"?

  • You're all so very, VERY smart to home school!

"Public" schools are being used to target children of dissidents or whistle-blowers or "enemies of corp"! (Organized mobbing via 'bad-jacketing' by 'teachers'!)

  • can u make a song about i will survive school? (not homeschool just normal school) xD cuz i can't survive it....i get A s but still.....xD

  • @homeschoolmfm quite funny

  • Homeschooled all my life. Graduated early. Now have a great job. Can't wait to homeschool my own kids someday.

  • This is awesome. Thanks for posting it ^.^

  • Very encouraging and uplifting. thank you!

  • You are an awesome homeschool mom! I love your video! I'm a mentor/coach and motivational speaker for Homeschooling Parents. I invite you to see what EXCITING and FUN strategies and tips I can offer.

  • i'm homeschooled and believe me,

    IT BLOWS!

  • I recognised several of those texts from my schooling. :o

    Great video!

  • To all you people dissing homeschooling... There are social events with homeschooling. And another point, I am one of the most sociable people that ik.. and i spend loads of time with my mates.. So go ahead and diss something you don't even know ANYTHING about!

BTW, the nerds, they're gonna be the ones with the big companies and the luxurious life.... just saying :)

  • homeschooling is horrible...

  • @opres1 prove it

  • Muito criativo

  • Cute and creative. This gave me alot of hope. Thank you.

  • Great song! :D

  • They'll be propably will be smart ppl without any social skills, aka nerds

  • I'm homeschooled and I'm in my first year. It really sucks.Everything like "HbRbOxXeR's" comment below is similar to my situation. My mom really knows how to get me mad. It's horrible having to spend so much time with my parents when they make me so aggravated.

  • nice house

  • 0:33 He's wearing an aluminum hat so the aliens (or the Illuminati) can't read his mind.

  • Hey perfect I am homeschooled

  • im in a public school and i think homeschooling can be a little bit boring after a time.

I mean you dont meet friend so often and you can get pissed of because you must spend many hours a day with your parents

  • Oh wow, I love this!! We homeschoolers are busier than most would think... ^_^

  • Ladies (and gentlemen) KEEP ON!

It's a life style, not just an educational choice.

The freedom of home education is amazing!

I've survived **28** years of being a home schooling Mom.

  • I was homeschooled and didn't realize all of the silly things I was taught were a bunch of brainwashing bunk until I escaped into the real world. Now I resent my parents for trying to poison my mind with a bunch of bunk.

  • Hang in there, Fish control - you may feel differently in a few years. Time has a way of growing and changing one's perspectives.

  • @fishcontrol One of my text books actually said that Africa's problems were caused by their lack of Christianity.

  • u do look nuts

  • thanks for the vid, i don't know why people thing school is the only place kids can socialize witheachother. i have 4 friends that are neighbors,1 homeschooled friend,a friend that moved to another country,a pen-pal,and a childhood friend.also i am learning at my own pace. oh and don't count my writing against me :)

  • i was homeschooled for a couple years it sucked so bad, i can understand if its not bad for some, but i live in a rural part of texas the only way to meet other kids was school. so when i was enrolled in public school i loved it and refused to go back to homeschool

  • @hamarchy2 I have a similar situation. I am just about to finish my first year of homeschooling and I hate it. But now my parents won't allow me to go back to public school. I thought I would of likes homeschooling more than public but I was wrong. It's much more stressful than public school.

  • @GibsonLesFat Not for me. Learning isn't stressful to me. Bullies and stupid teachers are.

  • The benefit of a tailored education is undeniable. Teachers in public school don't have the time or resources available to tailor curriculum and teach to children individually. Therefore, my husband and I chose to take the time ourselves to educate our children. The choice to homeschool has been a tremendous blessing and is one of the best decisions we have ever made. Every moment is an adventure/learning opportunity and the world awaits...go explore, we are! *Thanks for the video!* :)

  • thank you Jesus, I puked in the end :)))

  • Home school is the way to go the stuff that their teaching now at schools is just a big joke a teen day care program!

  • "Chained up little people stuck inside a school" hahaha

  • any male role models involved?

  • @fishcontrol Yes, they are called Fathers.

  • @fishcontrol

Loads if male role models. My husband and I split up the homeschooling work, he works full time and I am starting a business. He teaches two subjects, I take the rest. He also over sees several of their regular groups events and teaches a co-op class. There are about a dozen other HS Dads in our community that we see regularly. Plenty of Male Role Models!!!

  • Pedicure art?

  • @WeCanKnowDottCom how does it feel that judgement day didn't really happen? Also, how is there no doubt that God created this universe. How about there is no doubt that evolution occured seeing as how we have actual scientific evidence and explanations from scientosts proving this. What evidence do we have that God created this earth? And no, your faith and others faith is not evidence. The bible is just a collection of stories to teach us how to be better people and I have nothing against it.

  • I love being homeschooled! :) And i'm socialized! lol

  • There is deffinetly pros and cons to public school and homeschool i have been homeschooled for five tears and im ready to go back to school. But yeah homeschooling isnt for me but i recommend it but talk to your children about it. Or if you are the child make a pros and cons list and stuff and just think about it. :)

  • going to stop going to highschool and get myself homeschooled !! :D

  • Engaging, funny, encouraging. Also, it effectively educates those who are anti-homeschooling or ignorant about homeschooling. It is accurate. I have been studying/following the homeschool movement/community for over 20 years. This kind of production is very valuable. Good job. B in Oregon

  • lol i love this video.....Homeschoolers ROCK!!! :)

  • love it!

  • haha, I thought it said center for puberty arts... lol

  • why cant a find a video that hates homeschooling...... i mean it sucks, hard

  • @rocksandboulders Because all the people who hate homeschooling don't have time to make a video - they are all too busy doing school runs, helping with homework, arguing with teachers who think they know their kids better than they do, and shopping for expensive shoes that are going to get stolen.

  • @astralbee I love how homeschooling people complain when public schoolers stereotype them but you guys do the same. I guess that makes you hypocrites. My parents never had a need to argue with my teachers, and no I'm not out buying expensive shoes nor would they get stolen. How would my shoes get stolen from my feet anyways. The public school where I live are very nice and well maintained A schools. Just because it's a public school doesn't mean it's going to be ghetto or run down.

  • @goofygrl415 My comment to which you replied was a little flippant yes, but my words were in fact a reply to someone hating on homeschoolers. I could say that you schoolers "started it", but thankfully that is the kind of playground argument homeschooled children never learn! But my comments, flippant as they were, are real problems that some schooled children encounter. I'm so happy that you enjoy school, do not live in a ghetto, and do not have your shoes stolen. Not everyone is so lucky.

  • Thank you so much. Just when I thought other Mom's had it all together. This video comes along and shows me how feeling overwhelmed is having it all together. I am beyond encouraged. I can survive this. : )

  • I love this!!!! My son got a kick seeing Saxon Algebra 2 as it has been our nemesis this year but 1 quarter down and we are surviving!!!! Praise God!!! Sometimes I think I see less of our home because we do home school! Thanks for the encouragement!

  • Awesome Job!!! lol... love this, I homeschool my boys (teens) and am in college myself, as well as a single mom... working. so, there are days I think I won't survive, but I keep on!

  • i just started homeschooling- this made me laugh !! thanks !

  • Homeschool rocks!!!!!

  • Haha I love this! I just started homeschooling for for my sophomore year and it is SO much harder than I realized! But this video totally made my day :)

  • wow every textbook she held up I own :) I LOVE being homeschooled! I have a prominent social life (choir, drama, and CSC), and I can spell! lol!

  • Every time I feel like giving up I just look at this video and keep going with all the confidence in the world, thanks a lot.

  • Very Funny!

  • Very Funny

  • I loved this!!! Awesome!

  • That's right! We home schooled people do NOT live under a rock! 5 stars for a job well done!

  • A first-time Kindergarten homeschool teacher says... THANK YOU! Awesome job. :)

  • my mother taught 45 years

  • Great video!

  • hahaha, awesome vid! enjoyed very cool!!!

  • I absolutely love the remix. My son is a Senior in K12 ICademy. This is our 3rd year. My son has a much better well rounded social life that what he had sitting in a classroom. At first it was an adjustment, but our family was determined to make it work. Yes, I will survive this final year. LOL

  • Fabulous!! Worth watching.

  • I don't homeschool (my kids go to Catholic school) but after hearing what my homeschooling mom-friend is going through, I had to send her this video. She gets so much crap from family and friends! Why do people care so much? Worry about your own kids! Anyways, thanks!

  • Thank you so much!! Very inspirational, funny and well-worth the watch! We love homeschooling and thought many of those "myths" that are spread. Don't believe them! Most anyone can do this and the rewards are so great!

  • We´re a homeschool family and is the best ever happened to us. We are from Honduras

  • Awesome video! I'm glad I'm homeschooled! :3

  • @SilentOrchestra567 homeschoolin is bit weird

  • @MsRedash Only if the parents who do it are wired and trust me there are some way out there homeschooling moms and dad that scare the living crap out of me. But not all are like that.

  • @jgirgis81 sounds lyk u were homeschooled

  • @MsRedash a few years after we moved to KC. Then early to college

  • oh this is just way to cute! i love it

  • My deepest gratitude is bestowed upon homeschool moms, including my own who has faithfully taught me my entire life :) Y'all are to be admired!

  • Lol, I was watching this and about half way through i realized i know many of the people in it, haha!

  • Yeah, but what happens when your son only sees one girl regularly during his formative years, develops a crush on her, allows said crush to multiply until he's convinced himself that she will one day marry him, tells her about his feelings towards her repeatedly, gets shot down repeatedly, becomes suicidal, and only doesn't go through with it because of a happenstance intervention?

That is what homeschooling did to me.

  • @stitch99 well i say count yer blessing instead of talkin about the gloomy could have been. also , you use the phrase "allows said crush to multiply until he's convinced himself that she will one day marry him". HE allow this to happen, HE convinced himself that she will one day marry him. so you cannot blame that on homeschooling at all. homeschooling is not for everybody, and even though you said nothing about his grades, i would assume that he did not mold well. i am a a homeschooler.

  • homeschoolers are very unsocialized. and llama you are a loser

  • @leftylegend04 Beware of stereotyping. Some are and some aren't. Just as there are some unsociable kids in public school and some sociable ones. I was a homeschooler who was very socialized.

  • @lafollepoete highly doubt that. 90 percent arent socialized

  • I watch this often! Inspirational!!!

  • I am so happy I went to p8ublic school <3

Having a few activities outside of homeschool is nothing compared to spending entire days plus after school activities with people your own age. It is completely different from a social aspect.

I was on my high school cheerleading squad and some of my best memories are from that and attending school games. Lunch hour was also a fun way to have time with all of my friends. Prom was amazing.

A homeschooler really is missing out in my opinion.

  • @pinklill oh sorry I hit the number 8 and didn't edit or re-read my comment since this is just youtube lol.

Anyways I would never support homeschool. Most of my friends didn't even partake in after school activities since they were so busy with actual school activities (school sports teams etc). So by being homeschooled you are missing out on the opportunity to meet and become friends with some amazing people since you would never even have the chance to meet them.

  • @pinklill It is obvious that you aren't educated about homeschool, then. There are just as many opportunities out there for people in "non-traditional" school as there are for kids in public school. These kids generally have tons of friends and innumerable opportunities for proms, sports, and other activities. Homeschool is not right for everyone, but talking it down because it's not right for you is silly.

  • @lilkimtastic amen to that!

  • @pinklill haha yea coming from a cheerleader sounds about right.I have never did any of that parents divorced dad turned into a alcoholic and I dropped out of the 8th grade because school was extremely awkward and problems at the house to.It is fun for some people like you lol..I am omw to becoming a volunteer firefighter then a professional later on.I regret dropping out but if I didn't something terrible was going to happen.I haven't had a friend in three years because of you girls. Thanks!

  • @pinklill well.. depends on how you look at it. If a homeschooled kid (or teen, like me) loves their life, who's to tell them they're missing out? :)

  • HELP!!!! what can I do to help my mum? my younger brother was bullied BADLY when he was very young, he changed schools and was homeschooled for about a year and a half. he has been back in school for two years now! he's 11 years old now and he is about to start comprehensive school after the summer. the school was going to put him in a form with all the other learning difficulties kids, (including one boy he had allready asked not to be placed with, and none of his freinds.).

  • @fizzywizzy2006 mum called up the school and (finaly) managed to get him placed in a form with two of his friends. but my mum is realy upset, i've never seen her like this. she is worried about the emotional damage that the system will do to my brother, and his friends! he is still very unconfedent and insecure about his school work and his body shape. splitting him up from a friendship group where he has only just begun to feel safe can only do harm. mum hasnt got time to homeschool him at the

  • @fizzywizzy2006 moment, what can i do!!! i'm worried about my mum and my brother. what can I do? anything!!! please help!!! xxxx sorry that was sooooo long!

  • @fizzywizzy2006 You can help by tudoring your younger

brother at home. ANYone can homeshool.

Just look at the statistics for kids his age

on the Home School Legal Defense Website.

There are many good self teaching curriculums to chose from....

  • @fizzywizzy2006 You can help tudor your younger brother at home. Just look at the statistics of kids his age at the Home School Legal Defense Website. Type into search (How do homeschooler's Measure Up since I can't post links on here) There are many good self teaching curriculum you can choose from... i.e. Christian Liberty Press and Sonlight. You can also find a group in your area to get help with learning difficulties. God Bless! I pray it will all work out!
  • @amarie777321 thank you so much for your advice, i realy needed it. Thankyou and god bless!

  • Very good

  • Haha. Cute. I was homeschooled for the last two years of high school

  • You can find Home School Statistics at the Home School Legal Defense Website

  • I was not homeschooled as a child.... dealt with bullies and even so,

its not the reason I homeschool. I believe children have the best environment

to learn cause like our forefather's of this country - they were all homeschooled

and had the greatest education being "tudored" by their own parents at home.

Just look at their writing skills and statistics of those between homeschool and

public school kids and you'll the majority learn better at home....

  • @amarie777321

I hope someone else is "tudoring" you children in spelling. Also, I am unaware of these statistics of home learning vs public schools, can you post a link to any articles or studies that show these statistics?

  • @kylemartin2475

How do home schoolers measure up? Home school students do exceptionally well when compared with the nationwide average. In every subject and at every grade level of the ITBS and TAP batteries, home school students scored significantly higher than their public and private school counterparts (Figure 1).

    Figure 1

  • @kylemartin2475 i hope some1 is tudoring YOU children 2 D:

  • @MajorHarvestMoonFan yeah..... especially on manners

and consideration of others whether homeschooled or not

(that's what we all ought to learn in the area of socialization)

  • @amarie777321 yeah i agree youtubers arent very nice sometimes :(

  • Just a question, Im being completely genuine, is it more common for those with larger families to homeschool?

  • hahahahaha estaa bueniisiim0oo0!!!!!!!!!!1...

    t0omand0 en cuenta qe a mux0os les pasa es0o!!

    XD ¡¡¡ xekennloo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • Superb! Thank you. I will share this one around.

  • @Coolz444 true, homeschooling is not always a good thing, but most of the time homeschooled kids are better prepared for the real world, than traditionally, classroom-segregated kids. Having a degree doesn't mean anything, and YES, a mother's job is to teach her kids. Not everyone homeschools for religious reasons. Often times parents pull their children out of our broken school system because they are getting lost in the system, not because they are being "sucked in by all it's evils."

  • huh. that algebra book is the same one I use.

  • I cringed at the picture of the Saxon math book.

  • i thank god that my parents put me in home-school i've been homeschooled for almost 4 years.

  • This is amazing! I'm 21 and in college now, but I was homeschooled all my life and I loved it! This video is so true, keep up the good work!

  • Ive been homeschooling for about 7 years, doing Algebra 1 right now. Its ok, but it is sort of a pain to meet publicschooled kids. They're all like, "DUDE YOUR SO LUCKY YOU PLAY VIDEO GAMES IN YOUR PAJAMAS ALL DAY!"

I admit, some of the homeschoolers met do that.. but not all them. It's just sort of anoying :S

  • Amazing video! I have 19 children (and no, I'm not associated with the Duggars). One goes to a charter school for technology and one goes to a private school for the deaf, but the other 17 are all homeschooled. It is always hectic but it's worth it.

  • I LOVE this!!!!!

I am keeping a copy for when I have "the" moments. Thanks for making me laugh.

  • @Coolz444

In my experience most homeschooling parents take full

    advantage of those opportunities.

  • @Coolz444

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience,

but that is overwhelmingly not the experience of most homeschooled

kids, especially not myself and I'm 22 and in college

now. "Homeschooling" doesn't necessarily mean staying at

home all day and not being with other people. There are plenty

of opportunities to make friends, have fun, and engage with the outside

world through sports, clubs, homeschool groups, volunteer work,

art groups, church or other religious groups/activities, etc.

  • oh i love it! and completely agree lol.

  • omg lol

  • hola amigos, saludos desde mexico.

    hi

  • Love it!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Great video!!! Creative, fun, and much truth in it!!! All you homeschool moms AND DADS keep it up! You can survive it. I did. Sometimes, I'm not sure HOW, but by God's grace, I did. Our kids did too! You'll enjoy the good report cards YOU'LL get one day too.

  • Why is this whole song in soprano?

  • Since opening a social history museum, The Great American Dollhouse Museum, I have met numerous groups of homeschoolers and been surprised by how many different reasons they have for homeschooling, not to mention how many different approaches for getting the job done. : )
