Hello, quick question, will the N900 open a word document or a PDF in portrait mode? (as opposed to landscape mode which the phone works in when not used as a telephone) If it will not do that out of the box, is there a way to change the settings so that it opens documents in portrait mode?
To nokia fans, Next gen Technology like this wont stop nokias finally brought something good to the table after having to watch soo many failed N series models its about time we see this
To Apple Fans & Apple: Let apple keep milking your money you couldnt by a screw from apple for less than $5 N900 offers more than any iphone for free and its qualitysomething Iphone users will never know.
Slides on the go sounds good. Especially if you forget your laptop to a presentation, but remember your phone/AV cables... not that that would ever happen ;)

Go ahead, delete all my comments! It's just show what kind of company Nokia is! I was considering N97mini and E72, but you guys were taking your own sweet time, as usual!
No one is deleting your comments... People are rating them down.
And what do you expect coming in a Nokia centric channel, bashing the latest product that everyone is talking about and you want to get positive ratings?
I bet you didnt even try the n900. You dont know what you are missing.
AFAIK there is still some tinkering to be done in config files, got this info from the maemo forums, but at some point someone is going to make a nice GUI so people dont need to go through all this hassle.
years ago the quickoffice on my tiny 3250 screen saves me from a big problem, i just needed to read a excel sheet, this is so great from n900 and so bad who will work on it instead of a computer (no one will do that)

This is very important for me. Thank you

Hey MuscleAL an ayePhone will suit you absolutely fine.
Just don't forget that when you talk into it, you need to position it next to your anus.

What a waste of time working on that tiny screen!

The idea is not to be working on this all the time.
It is to transport the documents everywhere in your pocket and use the TV-out cable or bluetooth with another bigger machine to use the screen.
Also you can have tv-out and bluetooth keyboard in this thing if you really want some work done... and it goes in your pocket.

I hope the bluetooth hid works a lot better then the last few devices I've used (5800, e63). I guess I'll test that out when I get it.
