Ive driven a lot of cars, actually, depends on cars manufacturer. Mostly audis and BMW's have Rear gear in 6th, but seats, vw etc have like next to 1st. But newer BMW's, Audi's and mercedeses have next to 6th gear. And for older models of these cars, u dont have to push the shifter down.

Hey on gt 5 the full version are the buttons mapable and if you enable the clutch will te gear shifter allow you to change without the clutch or is like like reality where you have to press the clutch

The reason why there is no sequential on the 6-speed is because there are paddle shifters. Sure that it would be cool, but the paddles are meant for sequential shifting

@maserati199 You are right. Many rally car drivers and race car drivers would prefer using a sequential stick. My preference though is that I would use the paddles for sequential, and the six-speed for standard driving and drifting. I can't wait for my G27 to ship in though :)

@ProJectGamingStudio There is currently no car on the market that uses an H-Pattern manual (stick) 7 or 8 Speed transmission, they all uses paddles (With the exception of the upcoming new Porsche 911). So you'll be fine.

with this wheel you can actually take off the wheel and install your own. Its not that difficult, its a matter off taking off the allen keys on with the new wheel and away you go.

I've been hearing that these G27's get caliberation problems in the motors after time. Does yours still work fine? because i'm after a wheel and this is what i have in kind, but a couple of times i have read on a forum or in an Amazon review that someones G27 has steering caliberation issues.

bottom line- want sequential, and play older games that dont suport h-shift=g25 wins

want a slightly better(really slight) shifter and really slighlty better pedals, without doing mods.-g27 is for you. Note that modding the pedals to be like g27 is extremely easy and not risky like the ebrake/shifter mods.

How do you get to 7th gear?

In GT5 I have a ferrari california 08 that I can get to 7th gear, but I have to use the paddle shifts rather than H pattern for this to work.

@Urbanfire123 Well, in real life the Ferrari California is a 7-spd Double-Clutch that uses paddles to change gear, so you should use the paddles regardless if you would like a more realistic experience.

If you preorder there is a couple of promo codes out there. 1 for %20 off and the other for free shipping. Came out to $266. The Fanatec wheel with tax and shipping came out to $565. Hey let me ask you some more questions. How is the break sensitivity? If you tap on the break lightly do you break lightly or does it break the same as if you where to slam your foot down? How is the deadzone on the wheel? I heard there is a deadzone that can get bothersome after a while. How sturdy is the wheel and the shifters when you mount them on a desk or table. Do they slip or slide at all? How much did you get yours for? I heard they were like $150 back in march now they go for $300. tnx

@wastnTIMEwastnTIME Wheel and Shifter are very sturdy where ever they are mounted. Sensitivity of all the pedals are realistic. And Im not sure why people say there is a dead zone, I have yet to notice one on the wheel. And I paid $279 for mine.

Hey is the clutch on the G27 really active? Like if you just put the gears from 1st to 2nd to 3rd without stepping on the clutch will it still shift as normal or will the gears not shift?

@wastnTIMEwastnTIME Yes, if you have it activated an you change gears w/o pushing it will not put you into that gear and stall into neutral until you put the clutch back in.

@angodeath Well, a car like the Lexus IS-F, with 8-gears! In real life does not have a 6-spd H-gate, it uses paddles, as with the Mercedes SLS (7-gears) So you can just use the paddle shifters on the wheel for your manual shifting pleasure.

@ItsRadikal Think twice before buying a used G25 wheel. The design of the wheel is actually not good since it uses potentiometers instead of loadcells for the shifter, the pedals and the wheel. These potentiometers wear down too easily, which means your wheel will most likely only last up to 1-3 years. The wheel comes with 2 year warranty, and you will need to call them to fix this- unless you want to void the warranty and fix it yourself.
