@fuccillo111 I know a lot of service techs that have all of the top certificates but still do garbage work, to me it just proves that they are good at taking tests.
Call around and ask if they can give you the read outs on a combustion analysis and give you the cfm reading along with the wet bulb and dry bulb temperatures. From there I can tell you if everything is working right or not.
@catfisherman831 Thanks, now it's time to get more people trained to do the right thing! With youtube and all of its great videos, theres no more excuses !
Eddie, very informative video..Thanks. FYI, I believe that the flame sensor is actually a thermocouple. A thermocouple is a device consisting of two different conductors (usually metal alloys) that produce a voltage proportional to a temperature difference between either end of the pair of conductors. I don't think the flame actually creates electricity.
I believe that you are thinking of a pilot thermocouple.
On a furnace with a flame sensing rod, the control board sends a small amount of current to the flame sensor, and once the flame is produced at the burner , the small amount of current will flow through the carbon in the flame to the burner and then back to the control board.
Keep in mind that if you want to use the machine to measure temp drop and diff. Pressure you will spend around 300.00 I think in accessories.
A coworker had the UEI analyzer and it came with all of the accessories for around a grand, he ended up fetting the 327 in a drawing at our company Christmas party, I will have to check and see which one he likes better.
2 - the ability to save my jobs for future refrence
3 - ability to measure static pressure
4 - screen looks much better
5 - print out looks better and a little easier for homeowner to understand
I had the 327 for a bit and I must say that I like the build quality better, it feels more rugged in my hands, but I ended up returning it for the 330.
if i want to have someone to all the stuff you did what do i ask them. do i ask for certificates and what testers they use?

This is the way that I was taught anyways

Thanks for watching,
The reasons I went with the 330 over the 327 are:
1 - warranty is 4 years
2 - the ability to save my jobs for future refrence
3 - ability to measure static pressure
4 - screen looks much better
5 - print out looks better and a little easier for homeowner to understand

Great vid! You have a Testo330 vs the 327. any reason for getting the 330 over the 327?
Thanks
