Addie died when Hope was just a baby and Julie and Doug are married "the first super couple of daytime tv", and so yea Julie is Hope half-sister and her stepmom, but Hope was raised by Julie and Doug, so Julie is more like a Mom to Hope, Shawn calls Julie is grandma instead of Aunt Julie.
