  • MARY WE MISS YOU.

  • Forever will be remembered. R.I.P. Mary

  • Mary had a heart as big as the sky!

  • @DCV321 I believe Pete did write it, but PPM did such a good version, they helped him popularize it.

  • I liked Mary's fake-diva rant at the beginging.

  • thank god for u tube

  • She had a great voice we were so lucky to hear he sing, Semper Fi

  • This is wonderful. The vocal blend is so good. I love Mary's irony: "One of [our songs the Kingston Trio] promptly snitched!" But her performance proves her gratitude they popularized it, even if they did make it seem to audiences that PPM were covering a Kingston Trio song! Hahahaha

  • @amerikanprincess Didn't Pete Seeger write it?

  • 1:41 ~ that picture up on the screen in the background...of mary...holy cow that is a gorgeous picture!! lol does anyone know where i can get it??? :P

  • I Love You Mary Travis. We were so lucky to have you on earth. You soothed our sorrowful and lonely hearts and healed our wounds with your loving songs. Now you sing in Heaven enchanting God and the Angels

  • if only mankind would take all of it weapons and beat them into plowshares and learn war no more Isaiah 2:4

  • love this song it is sad but true war is nothing but a waste of human life I am not against the soldiers I just do not like war if only mankind would learn war no more

  • She had her views and I have mine. But still;she does have a beautiful voice.Semper Fi....

  • No gimmicks..no pretensions..no stupidity...just pure talent. Take note Lady Gaga,Pink, Maddona etc. !!!!!!

  • This is not the Kingston Trio.

  • @ghostryder65 This is the Kingston Trio with Bob Shane, George Groves and Roger Gambill.

  • Notice the pain in Mary's face a 3:12. Beautiful song.

  • @tmlafrance and again at 4:25

  • Its amazing to see the connections between Pete Seeger, Peter, Paul & Mary, Kingston Trio, Bob Dylan, Woody and Arlo Guthrie, Joan Baez, Mammas and the Pappas,

  • I am going to post this song to Face Book as am anthem for Memorial Day... not this version.. I nned to find a more somber version... Maybe by Pete Seeger

  • There is a void, now, that can't be filled. Thank you for all the years of great music and social consciousness, Mary. RIP forever!

  • my heart beats with the sound of beautiful music.

  • great blend of the best two versions!

  • Oh, Dear Mary-- voice of Silver, Conscience of the Folk movement, miss you and appreciate your songs and singing. "Shanefire6" : hate a woman who sings of Love and Peace and Justice? Who spoke of the Gov'ment's lies? Ah, well. Maybe you'll wake up.

  • Still beautiful in 1982! Mary,, not the Kingston Trio!!

  • Awsome times 5..RWB

  • Very beautiful song this version is timeless! Thanks for posting!

  • Beautiful!

  • Roger Gamball and George Groves replaced Nick Reynolds and John Stewart. Bob Shane is the Guy with the curly white hair on the far right in the white shirt with the red/orange collar (the original guitar player from The Kingston Trio). This song is one of my very favorites and will be played at my funeral. Being a Viet Nam Veteran I can't think of a more appropriate song to have at my funeral. Peter, Paul & Mary, and The Kingston Trio can never be replaced. Their music will remain for eternity.

  • I don't recognize the 2 bearded dudes...Where was Nick Reynolds & Bob Shane ?

  • RIP Roger Gambill, too. A nice and talented man.

  • Mary Traver's career spans most of my life. As years passed and we all grew older, we all aged but Mary's voice remained one constant amongst the change. For many year's each time I heard Mary sing tears filled my eyes. I realized that times were indeed changing. You brought me and so many others such joy. Rest in peace Mary, we still love you.

  • @noelsgrandpa Here voice is timeless so beautiful! I agree 1000%

  • November 7, 1981.

  • Beautiful to see these great talents come to together, this video is timeless.

  • Gosh - was born and raised on PPM...40 years ....and it is not the same in this world without her. May you be resting peacefully, and singing with the angels. Mary. You are deeply missed.
