  • Eric has the voice of a smooth-talking angel!

  • great stuff, you look so young Eric!

funny how you get a mental picture of someone

  • Eric Summerer definitely has the voice!

  • Dr. Demento! Hooray for fellow nerds!

  • Thanks, sir, for all the hard work that you, Tom, and your contributors do! We love hearing your reviews and thoughts!

  • Cool inside look from the man with the golden voice. Really enjoy all the hard work you put into the podcasts and videos, keep it up.

  • Doesn't skype (google talk, etc, etc) solve the phone problem? I think its used by most podcasters.

  • @corgrath It does, yes, though I use the phone patch for corporate clents for whom asking them to use Skype would be awkward. Tom uses Skype on his end, though, calling my studio phone line. When he was in Korea, that was easily the most cost efficient method for recording.

  • I wish the voices in my head sounded like Eric Summerer!

  • One word...Amazing

Plz keep up the good work and ty for sharing this!

  • Thanks for sharing guys. I think there's a lot of people that don't realize how much work you guys do to put on a great podcast; but we appreciate it for sure.

  • How long would you say it takes you to do 1 episode? I have never thought about all the work involved. In my head you just recoded each others phone call and post it. Seeing all the work involved is amazing.

  • @cheeseman350 I try not to think about actual numbers, but with prep, preproduction, recording, and editing, it's probably in the range of 10-15 hours for each batch of 2 episodes.

  • great opening mate!!!!

  • Eric you need to do voice overs for a living if you don't already lol.

  • Great vid buddy! Nice to hear how it works.

  • Yay! Really neat, Eric. Thanks or sharing this.

  • Outstanding, Eric! Full of WIN and AWESOME!

  • Thanks, Eric. The show wouldn't be what it is -- AWESOME! -- without you.

  • Really cool. I now realize I could never play games with Eric in real life. It would be too weird to hear the Announcer Guy's voice coming out of his mouth.

  • Thanks for sharing, Eric. I know that this is something you enjoy doing - can hear it in your voices and now I can see why you have fun mixing up the audio clips. Hope you guys made it through the recent storms okay. Got some family near you who lost power and had some flooding. I appreciate the cute kid. Also agree that it's hard to put that voice w/ that face, but that's always the case w/ radio/voice over type people.

  • That was lots of fun Eric, thanks for sharing. I'm sort of amazed at the amount of work that you put into The Dice Tower, but also very grateful. I'm guessing that your sound proof booth is for your career as a voice actor, and not something you invested in for the podcast?

  • Thanks for the behind the scene look. You guys are great!

  • wierd shit man.

  • Love these. Thanks for sharing.

  • really cool stuff! its kinda neat to have a visual to go along with the audio

  • Awesome, Eric. I like to see what's going on behind the scenes at the dice tower.

  • Your voice is Epic Eric, fun to see how things are done!

  • Nice work Eric.

  • I like when American people speak english so clearly because I understand everything. Sometimes I listen american people and i don't understand anything, not a word!

  • Great to see behind the screens

  • Companion Cube <3

  • @TerrorWolfX I hugged my plush Companion Cube while watching.

  • Made me interested in the podcast!

  • uhmm... what software do you use to edit audio?

  • @daem0nfaust That looked like Adobe Soundbooth or Audition. If you're a prospective podcaster, don't let the expensive hardware or software intimidate you. You can get by with just the free or cheap stuff, at least to start.

  • "Here's some cute kid I found..." Haha! Love it. :)

  • Charming voice :) And nice kids lying around your house :)

  • Very good, I like these videos.

  • Every time I see your face, I have a hard time acepting that THAT voice actually comes out of it. It's like watching clips of JR, the WWE ringside announcer. When you see him speak, it's so hard to believe that powerful voice of his comes from that little pie-hole...

...at least you're better looking, Eric.

  • That's a pretty high-tech looking booth! Is it yours or do you record somewhere?

  • @gunslingerak I know he does voiceover work for a living. He might have built it in his home for his work.

  • How do you send the completed podcast to Tom?

  • Awesome seeing the behind-the-scenes stuff, thanks for sharing, Eric.
