  • the music in the background is very soothing. as for the kimchi i love it and the first time i heard of it at all was from manmin central church and the program called "people who love God." The ladies from the central church were making a whole bunch and I mean it was a lot of ladies and trucks filled with the cabbages and the other ingredients. Amazing work and care!

  • @EtainaShea Thank you for your kind words! Im glad you enjoyed the music and recipe. I actually rearranged and performed the song in my studio, it's called Arirang, a very famous and popular korean folk song. Let me know how your kimchi comes out... :-D

  • @matahariwk I hope one day to make the kimchi, but for now it is to focus on getting back into school and then to get a job as well. No job no money and no money means no food. That means no kimchi either T__T. Blessing to me when Senior Deaconess Mrs. Sim, Pastor Sim wife, makes for the congregation each Sunday lunch. Even the one with the cucumber or something. Really good!

  • @EtainaShea Im sorry to hear that you're having difficulties these days. I hope that all your dreams will come true. It's important to pursue your dream and passion, if you really work hard at it. I wish you the best of luck, happiness and success!

  • I love Kimchi!! I used to make it with my grandmother before she passed. Thanks for these videos!!

  • @JexyTorres Wow, that's great! Do you have your grandmother's recipe? Let me know how your Kimchi comes out. :-D

  • @matahariwk I don't have her recipe, unfortunately it got lost when she passed. But I am trying to learn how to make kimchi again so that I can pass on the tradition of making it homemade with my kids!

  • @JexyTorres Wow, that's great! Do you have your grandmother's recipe? Let me know how your Kimchi comes out. :-D

  • @ 2:45 i think she meant asian pears and not cranberries........

  • 2 women in a kitchen? IT'S A MIRACLE! :O

  • @bloodhoun138 I agree totally and I am a female! It is a disgrace how many women simply cannot cook. I find more men cooking and women mowing the lawn.

  • @dolcemaddalena i've seen videos of celebrities that are SOOOO proud of not being able to cook. While i'm all for women's movement and all that. I believe women can do just about anything they set their mind to. However, I think being able to cook is a MATERNAL thing, and not Sexist thing to hope for. I think there is nothing more beautiful than a woman who takes care of their baby and cooking. Sure it's more sexy that women do more masculine things, call me old fashioned but...

  • Looks great!

  • white girl in the blue shirt is sexy

  • the guest ruined this for me. idiot!

  • Fish sauce I'm watering now

  • god I hate ginger... but somehow I can eat it in kimchi... o.o

  • what did she said after the soda ?

  • it is not the typical way to make Kimchi. It is very westernized one I think.

  • Hello, I really liked the video. I'm thinking about making kimchi this week, and I would like to ask, could you write the recipe for this kimchi? like what ingredients and how much is needed? thanks in advance! cant wait to try make kimchi! ;)

  • she said "arrigato"...thats japanese not korean

  • @nichya11 its arigato(u) and she was saying korean, but she said it false

ans arigato means thank you, not bye or nice to meet cha in a polite way

  • @mrlolalo no. I'm Korean, and I know that arigato is Japanese. it's not Korean, and there isn't any Korean vocabulary that's similar to that. I can't find where it is on the video..

  • @tokee1234567 let me get this straight, you couldn't find "gamsa hab ni da"? really, Arigato means thank you...wow you have internet and i assume you can type so you couldn't find Arigato on Wikipedia or ANY japanese dictionary...odd. lol

  • @Prkwon look at the person who I replied to, and stop assuming things that aren't true.

  • GREAT recipe!!!!!! I am new to youtube...come by and check out how to make some easy vietnamese food

  • good

Start where you are & give it everything you got. That's what Napoleon hill said.

  • Im very glad there is an Italian babe learning to make and eat Korean food. Looking for an Italian woman, myself!

  • When the woman in left side said "an nyung hee gae sae yo" its so cute! lol

  • bad communication!!!

  • I so agree - its unbelieveable

  • the sugar does not help thicken it helps with fermentation ..it feeds the bacteria that ferments the cabbage

  • you look very pretty with your hair up! ^ ^

  • Thanks for your response back! I'm sorry to hear that you won't be posting any more videos on youtube, but I totally understand. Good luck with your tv show!

  • Well, it's because the video was edited down to 10 minutes and a lot of important information got cut off in the process. Actually the reason why some people wash the vegetables after they're salted is because they didn't wash them from the start. But in my case, I washed them thoroughly before I started salting them. :-)

  • @matahariwk but if you do not wash, they will taste too salty. at least that's my experience...

  • I didn't know kimchi can be made that simple. I want to make it some day for my ancestors...lol. Great show.

  • Actually it involves a little more work than it looks.... but it sure tastes good! :-) Let me know how it comes out when you make it. :-)

  • I hope it will come out as good as yours because I don't like jucky stuffs... I enjoy watching your show. Thanks for reply me back.

  • Damn, you are kimchi stalker ... lol.

  • see! i kept forgetting the sugar.. :/

  • That looks like good kimchi!

  • wow, i'll have to try out the cucumber kimchi. i only had the napa cabbage ones.

  • Great episode Cathlyn. I will try the cucumber kimchi, it looked fantastic! I know this is a classic Korean recipe, but what sesame oil do to the taste/fermentation process? Thanks for the upload and look forward to season II ... :)

  • Thanks for the great kimchi recipe! I love pickled cucumber so I'm going to make that today.
