We take courses before embarking to be prepared in case sth happens while sailing. But no one really expects this kind of situations.,, it always seems to be far from you and we can never know.
Costa is a good cruise company and I hope that the families can receive a good money for their lost. You can't bring back their lifes but these people were sacrifying many things thinking in their families' future.

Mio padre dormiva poco distante dal punto d'urto (lavora come pianista). In breve si è trovato la cabina allagata ma scappando si è salvato. Schedules are tightly fixed. no delay admitted. that's part of the game. otherwise the Master would be only too glad to wait for calm seas and no wind.
The port list was arranged by the Master in order to keel the hole off the water. no sudden,but calculated ballast transfer

Come in tutte le cose ci sono sempre diversi punti di vista delle cose. Chi governa una nave e fà questo mestiere, specialmente da anni, ha una visione certamente diversa dal passeggero, la cui unica preoccupazione è divertirsi senza problemi perchè ha pagato, è un suo diritto.. Purtroppo in mare, in questo caso, le cose non filano sempre lisce, solo la professionalità del personale addetto riesce , in molti casi, ad eliminare, se non ridurre, le problematiche dell'andare per mare.
Vorrei sapere come mai la TV non né ha parlato, o se lo ha fatto l'avrà appena accennato. E' solamente per una questione di immagine per evitare alla Costa perdita di clienti?
Io mi trovavo sulla nave Serena maggio 2009 quando ha avuto quella forte inclinazione in Turchia. Tanta paura, molte cose rotte ma.... silenzio quasi assoluto.

Il collega che fa il 2 ufficiale e quindi è in manovra a poppa non si rende conto dell'effetto che ha il vento su quelle navi. Se vieni a SV ne parliamo
1 ) non parliamo di Savona dove le condizioni invernali sono tutt'altra cosa!! E questo Com.te Lei lo sa benissimo... 2) non avrò certamente la Sua esperienza ma so benissimo che queste navi hanno una parete velica abbastanza esposta ( non per questo, tra i tanti usi hanno anche i thruster per una miglior manovra ). 3) ho detto che è un errore del Com.te e su questo nè lei che sta seduto sui rm nè io che sto a "poppa" possiamo dire il contrario.
C'erano i rimorchiatori? Condimeteo non soddisfacenti? Bene allora perchè non sono stati usati?? Chi governa la nave in manovra? Il com.te... Le tragga lei le conclusioni visto che sta al comando di un rimorchiatore ( per gli inesperti giocattolini di 15-30mtr ).
Certamente è un errore umano...forse però potrebbe essere benissimo una mancanza tecnica, la nave ha certamente bisogno di rimorchiatori, se ci fossero a Sharm!
E' una nave che necessita dell'appoggio dei rimorchiatori , se fossero stati in lavoro non sarebbe successo, solo che e' il comandante che decide se farli attaccare o meno, la differenza?
Se si attaccano hanno un costo , se non si attaccano ma restano solo in appoggio quindi in attesa ne hanno un altro.
Fidatevi e' cosi'.......non mi posso esporre piu' di tanto.

Ti sbagli, quella era l'ultima crociera prima di passare alla Thompson.
Avevamo a bordo un paio di uomini della Thompson che valutava i macchinari ed il materiale presente a bordo per calcolare il prezzo finale di vendita.
Te lo dice uno dei membri di quell'equipaggio.
