  • Do they or will they make demon hi hat stands? Kinda like matching my shit together. Just looks more professional

  • how much are the wooden beaters??

  • i'm buying this maybe next week or within the next month. i need the pearl demon drive!

  • @memphisdrumshop- I am confused between the pearl powershifter or the demon drive double pedal.. Which one should I buy?? I need ur help

  • im just gonna stick to my 9000's. why? because i have used All pedals, Tama, Pearl, Axis, and DW and im more comfortable with DW. Its all about personal preference

  • Exelente!!!

  • He's convinced me its the most convenient, fluid pedal on the market currently haha. I'm def buyin it now =D

  • gettin these.

  • I bought these pedals because of this pedal :L Do you sell the ninja bolt cleaner fluid? don't really wanna use normal cleaner :|

  • Sold!

  • Demon Drive Hardware Would Be Awesome

  • LOL chad smith in the backround!!

  • I bet this guy rips on the drums too.

  • they sould have it compatible to rockband..... that would be AWESOMESAUCAGE!!!!

  • @mcrfreako1011

I think you can. I don't know, but there are people that use roland kits on rockband.

  • so many pros actually using dis pedal like mike mangini, been using it for months now and its fucking awesome >=)

  • get ready for longboard!

    * extends it by 1mm*

    - _ -

  • i actually use ninja skateboard bearings, no no no bones swiss is better need to put bones swiss in the pedal!

  • This is a beautiful pedal. However, if you think you need it to play fast or sound good, it's time to hit the practice room.

  • I pick mine up on Friday!!!! I was getting the axis al2 till I played these pedals in the shop today, I ordered the demon drives.

  • thanks japan!

  • this or the speed cobra?

  • @deathdrummerwild It depends what feel you want. Speed Cobra is a chain drive, so if you're used to a chain drive feel but want the lighter feel and leverage of a longboard pedal, you want the Speed Cobra. Direct drive is a different feel entirely, but you might like it. After playing both, I personally prefer the Demons, and my pedals are Iron Cobras.

  • When he says this pedal is the only pedal in the world that has the independent adjustment of beatter, is false!!! the trick pro 1 v had this feuture some years before this pedal exists!!

  • this pedal is very nice, but i personally play just as fast with my eliminator

  • I find this guy pretty cool.

  • Ive played both... I'll take my DW9000 any day of the week over this.

  • Got these babes yeasterday... the adjustment options are very unique indeed and they are smooth too

  • how much does the demon drive double pedal costs??

  • @erniejv15 Check out the link in the description for pricing & availability!

  • its my b day and im getting the double kick version

  • Damn I want them so much :D

  • GETING MINE THIS WEEK!!

  • what's that Chad Smith poster behind him?

  • My crappy pedals are honestly making me worse... I NEED DEMON DRIVES!!!

  • @BillyMaysFTW Dont think thats ur pedals buddy

  • @randomhorse1122 It could be dude. I played these at my local drum shop, and played significantly faster compared to at home on my DW4000's.

  • lots of bad reviews on musicians friend... doesnt look like they hold up exactly. the only problem is, ive been playing with resistance for so many years, ill most likely play off time with this! lol

  • My pedal is on its way right now :D cant wait!!

  • This guy is so cool.

  • so excited, get to practice with some within an hour :D ohh yeahhh

  • I'm in Love, one more week left to wait, And i'll gona try this one on my kit ))

  • DAM! he sells it so good!!

  • Speed Cobra is better.

  • @Hammy0924

And the axis longboard is superior to both. The eliminator is still quite the piece of work.

  • @CGJ7755 true

  • I've always wanted to try these out. But all the guitar centers around here are either not out to try or they are just ruined with screwed up settings. Haven't gone to sam ash yet but I'm they've got them there with no bs.

  • @sandrail69 The Guitar center close to me has three on the floor... and the one in Boston literally has about 8 of them scattered among all the different drumsets. I bet they sell alot of them.

  • Gene Okamoto seems like such an awesome guy in all the videos I've seen him in. I'd love to meet him one day haha! Pearl drums and hardware forever!

  • i have both the B.O.A and the DD., i still think the BOA is better., im sorry :D

  • i own a demon drive dbl pedal and an axis AL-2 longboard dbl pedal. The Demon drive blows the axis away in all categories... Its twice the pedal. Trust me people...

  • @doctorrockter

Im not sure how you reached that conclusion. I own both and I find the Pearl is really just good for training and workout, the axis has a bit of an edge over it...

  • I just got my demon drive dbl pedal today. Its amazing. I'm so happy. Its so smooth. This pedal is worth every penny. Its godly!!!

  • What if I don't have the key?

I want to extend it to long board, but can't loosen the hinges!

    What to do!

  • I bought a DD double pedal about 6 months ago... Price tag of 699CD was a little more than the Axis pedals.. but being that its made by pearl.. I figured the extra 60 bucks was worth it... and BOY WAS I RIGHT.. These pedals are INSANELY responsive.. I play alot of heel-toe at 200+bpm.. Ive never played a pedal that could stick to my feet through long rolls.. untill the DD! It has the pro price tag.. But if your looking for PRO gear.. its well worth the money! Another great PEARL innovation!

  • Did he say it is the "fastest"? It is a piece of equipment. It is not fast. It just sits there. Maybe someone can play it fast, but trust me if you do not touch it, the pedal just SITS there.

  • It is actually going from a split board to a short board ............. ?

  • im gettin this for christmas im so excited

  • I love how at the end he says the slogan or whatever: "Heavenly feel, Wickedly fast." and then smiles and then the video ends. lol

  • pearl wasn't the first to come up with interchangeable short board to long board setups, trick was with the pro 1v and pro 1v bigfoot setups. nice try pearl

  • @khaostheory117 haha nice.

  • How do these pedals compare to the Dw 5000's, which also use bearings?

  • I play axis and i really like them a lot more than these. i've played both and the demon drives have too much play in them. the axis pedals are also a lot cheaper.

  • @MrSlimshady2014 agreed. Axis man here as well.

  • @MrSlimshady2014 the problems Ive heard from many people with the axis pedals is they tend to rattle appart at the seams (so to speak) I keep hearing horror stories about little parts and screws breaking and or falling out while playing and after speaking with my local music store guru he mentioned that nearly every axis pedal he has ever sold.. has come back for SOME kind of minor repairs.. Axis (IMO) still has some growing pains before they catch up to pearl when it comes to durability!

  • Great pedal! but where are my foot stops? should at least have machined holes for them and sold as an accessory....

  • could someone list top drummers who use these pedals?

  • @PPeeeTEEE Todd Sucherman, Virgil Dontai, Jimmy DeGrasso, Dennis Chambers, Joey Jordinson ect...

  • @PPeeeTEEE GEORGE KOLLIAS now some people say he uses axis which he does but in some particular vids i saw him using this pedal and it looked great

  • I am choosing between these or Tricks Dominator's can anyone tell me which is better if they have tried both, it would be a great help thanks.

  • @flashminka It's a matter of taste, I eventually bought the demon, and now after 2 months I am back to a shortboard setting, so these pedals really gave me the freedom to get the feel I wanted so I could try everything, the tricks are also great, but less versatile. Both cost a lot of money, but I feel that the p3002d is more for your buck.

  • @mistermapex Ok thanks, I think I better go and have a play on each of them but it looks like i'll go for the Demon Drives but the test will decide it.

  • @flashminka Definitely go test them for yourself.

  • This is EXACTLY the kind of video and information I was looking for about the Demon Drive.

I wanted technical specifications and mechanics, and you delivered swimmingly!

    Thank you very much!

  • It's quite obvious that they are marketing this to mainly double bass drummers. I don't necessarily see any other drumming style to require this type of pedal. It's mainly geared toward speed and power, something that mainly double bass drummers require, and can be delivered through this type of hardware.

  • In my opinion it's the best drum pedal! It's so smooth,so fast, you gonna love it!

And if you like to do the "heel toe" this pedal is the best for this technic!

  • I was really impressed by this pedal, I tested it out at my local guitar center but I was to lazy to adjust it to my settings, whatever, still great no matter. what.

    Too expensive though.

  • im really impressed by this pedal, its a great competitor to Axis and Iron Cobra's

  • Single pedal : around $300-350

    Double pedal: $650

  • dude the price of a double pedal version is insane but it would be worth it

  • Which pedal will give me better, lighter, faster responce?... i play with the "Bonham flutter" lots... basically a 32nd note bass drum flam... i've played iron cobras... but they feel RIDICULOUSLY sloppy, and have extremely slow, heavy, laggy response... i'm looking at either a DW 9002 or this pedal...

  • @sasquatchvagina Try turning the cam of the cobras toward the drumhead, pretty much where the chain is going almost completely up and down the cam. That's how I've made my cobra faster, and the tension about half-way. If you really want a new pedal, don't jump straight to the demon drives, try the Pearl Eliminators first. It's a pretty quick pedal. The DW 9000 series pedal is crazy to adjust, everything you adjust on the pedal influences everything else so you have to constantly readjust.

  • HOW MUCH THE SINGLE PEDAL!

  • The way the video intro went reminded me of a ninja master teaching his young students the features of a katana or something. Forgive me for any errors in my japanese fighting art references you anime freaks.

  • I don't know, I like the Axis longboards a little better

  • Will Pearl be bringing out a Demon Drive Hi Hat to go with the bass drum pedals??

    Thanks,

    Paul.

  • @pauli3143 We haven't heard anything yet.

  • i got these about a year ago. the only problem is that the lateral pedal I always have to re-oil it. some reason the main pedal is fine but the other keeps feeling rusty and not smooth. Anyone else have this problem?

  • which is actually better, these or Axis pedals? they seem to be generally the same thing but one HAS to be better than the other

  • I went through this debate with myself for weeks. I kinda decided Pearl though. The demon drive is used more in general, it's more durable, and Pearl make overall good products. Also, the demon drive is more customisable when it comes to ease of use. With axis you either have very very very horribly customisable (Which some people may like) or barely not customisable at all. Thats why the Demon Drive is better, the amount of adjustability is perfect. (Please excuse any typos)

  • these are better then axis's because u get no power behind them. with these u get the crazy smooth feel and lots of power.

  • These are nice pedals i will give them that, but pearl tottally ripped axis off so did trick. The pedal is 11" in long board form and the hoop clamp is shit the rubbers fall out believe me I KNOW! Axis is independant so it doesn't have the cost to have a new style pedal every 2 years. I have tried these and there are several parts that r going to fail mark my words. Axis is being bullied by kids that though they could fly just buying them u still need TECHNIQUE people.

  • i love the feel or tricks also buh the thing i find with DDs is that it feels heavier then both trick and axis. the DDs almost imitate the feel or a regular pedal while still having components of what axis and trick has. it really is preference cuz when you get axis or trick pedals it would take you sometime to get used to them because the feel is COMPLETELY different. buh i think once you get used to your pedal youll be in double bass drumming heaven :)

  • @fatalkill101 you can adjust it infinitely, you probably played them with the beater adjustment back... i cannot wait to grab these tonight.. if i am wrong then im getting tricks :) god im lucky

  • TRICK double pedals are better than ALL

  • i use Axis and i personally feel that Axis is better then thse pedals. and people who say axis suck, you guys never took the time to actually get used to them. when i first got them i hated Axis pedals, buh it took about a good 3 months buh afterwards i realised i LOVED them. No other pedal for me. Using Axis pedals is like an aquired taste. like beer and wine.

  • it depends on preference though i tried them and they didnt feel nice to me but ive always used pearls so maybe its mental or just used to the designs of peal i dunno but i prefered the demon drives :)

  • I liked it so much, I bought it without even having a drumkit.

This things has it all. Cleverness at its peak.

Of course I'm looking for a drumkit at the moment, but I just had to buy it cause it was so sexy. I used it on a borrowed kit and I couldn't believe how tight my playing is now compared to my old Tama-Camco pedal. Only touble is, because it's so versatile, you keep adjusting it till you find the perfect setting, so it's hard to be content with it.

  • whats better this or the axis longboard??

  • these are the best pedals on the market, but for everyone who actually buys there own pedals its good to get the P-902, great pedal for 260 (Can)

  • yeahh me too

  • well theres a video of professionals commenting on these pedals, they say they're greatt

  • I have ninja bearings in my board =D Cost me $99 for em

  • can the Z-Link drive shaft used for Eliminator(P2002) pedals?

  • Wow, atleast now other companys are going to have to up the quality of there double pedals, i hope this will be the new standard in future double pedals

  • I hope Santa has the money for this! =P

  • These are great pedals. If you click the link in the description, you will be able to view the price and more information about this product.

  • hello christmas present!!!!

  • @CaptainHowdySH

It's a expensive christmas present, don't you think?

  • i live in new zealand and these cost up to $1200.00 for the double pedal not sure how much for just one thow.

  • probably about half, or less than half, because of the universal joint and bearings and parts that come with the double so a single would prolly be like 550 to 600. :P

  • its that guy from the pearl website!!!

  • well he makes it out that he changes it from short board to long in 2 seconds but you have to take apart all the screws.. so that part of the design is somewhat flawed

  • this or axis long boards

  • THESE PEDALS FOR SURE.

I had axis pedals and they broke after 3 month's. I've played these pedals and it's like heaven.

Trust me you will NOT regret buying these.

  • how do you break axis longboards.... they are like almost flawless in design.. virtually anyway. :P

  • Axis are made so you cant break em if u use them correctly -.-

  • This for sure. Its faster and smoother and can also be changed into a long board.

  • dude when he changed to long boad it sounded like he was loading a gun haha

wow this is gonna be hard to top

  • These pedals look great. A friend of mine has the Trick Pro-1.v double pedals and those things are amazing, these looks to be their counterpart / match.

  • GOD I WANT THOSE SO BAD!

i got to play them a local music store, they are just as good as they sound...

  • I agree.... now only to scrape up an extra $600 bucks to get one from Memphis Drum Shop!

  • This dude knows what he's talking about

  • what's the point of having the beater spin

  • that thing that spun is a skateboard wheel. its not the beater. The skateboard wheel (which is white) has ninja bearing installed in them. the ninja bearing are the same bearings used for the axel of the pedal.. not the beater.

  • Terminator who likes drums: "Your pedals....give them to me, now."

  • heey - one cool mate knowing what hes talkin about. saw a german dudes video - fail. xD

  • Demon Drive vs. Axis vs. Trick....tough call.

  • demon drive all the way

  • vial of ninja oil hey?

i thought extracting oil from ninjas was illegal nowadays

  • @dave90mckeague why is it illegal?? it's just oil. can you please tell me??

  • @AlecBFlores he was just being funny....

  • this pedal looks cool

  • i got this pedal last week and its so great

  • i envy you :( Give it to me :)

  • THOUGH it seems to be an exceptional kick pedal, it does not seem as long, even with the longboard adjustment, as the AXIS longboard pedal.... anybody measured or know different?

  • Lmao, this guy's awesome. Should be giving Apple keynotes or something.

  • Nah, he should be giving keynotes for Micro awesome or Linux! Never been a fan of the overpriced dong sack of a Mac. :3

  • Aww, dunno about that :P

I find my Mac is akin to this Pearl Demon Drive pedal. You pay a bit more but it's certainly worth it, because it never crashes or runs as asshattedly as most Windoze PCs ^_^

But anyway, this guy is most undoubtedly awesome.

  • Lol, never had a problem with Windows. Surprisingly, only thing that ever crashed for me when maxing out the usage of CPU power was the mac.

  • how much it costs?

  • If you have to ask you can't afford it.

  • If you click the link in the description, it will take you to the product page where you can view the price and more information.

  • i have new car! it real well and goes fast. I LOVE PEARL drums!!! Can I play??!~

  • This guy makes me want it.

  • Which is the best like death metal (lamb of god, dimmu borgir) pedal dw 9000 or eliminator demon drive?

  • the DW is more of a sturdy pedal but like if u want one with everything get this one

  • Trick Bigfoot Pedal

  • both bands are shit, btw, better is Pearl, for me.

  • dam dude, its not good to piss ur money away on a bad pedal

  • dude how long have u had the 9000 cuz they only resently dropped the price to 600 n before that it was like 800 n the demon drive is 600 how can u jus aford to buy top of the line equipment like that thatis also rdiculousy expensive

  • Makes me want to start playing again! I'll start up when I move to Sac!!!!

  • not a chance my bro .. i played both of them n i own the 9000 and it is so durable and so smooth its rediculous ,9000 is stil one of the best pedals out ther

  • Speed is about it Blast beats arent orginal now skaters last comment about planet X is true but like Screamo death metal most all of it lacks origniality and Groove and Everything all it is is speed

  • Heck just go ahead and pop some bones swiss ceramic bearings in that pedal.

  • I'll replace my Eliinator with this if you buy me one :D

  • dw 9000

  • are all you retards comparing metal drummers to other styles? to each his own, for crying out loud....

  • skateboarding and drumming, when you combine them life has no problems anymore

  • ok im a metal drummer (Iron Maiden, Metallica ect) not real heavy stuff. but i think no rock or metal drummer can be named the worlds best drummer mabye neil peart so y'all should check out tony royster jr. he can do double bass beats on a single pedel and dave weckl who can do flams and paradiddles and other rudiments on bass drums

  • Dave Wekel is a drumming icon lol

of corse, he is well rounded musican

thats why he's one of the most influential drummers who ever lived...

  • If you like those kinda drummers, check ot Chad Szeliga

  • dude ive got some of those ninja berrings for my board

  • and they kinda copied trick with the dcrive shaft

  • This guy seems like a good salesman

  • clearly someone who has never listened to metal...

  • yeah I have....dont really like it

Dude...just get a pedal, mess around with it. The thing is, once you get it set to your liking, your not gonna change it that much. Get a pedal that you can put exactly how you want it, you dont need this lol. This is kinda funny.

  • I'm not even a drummer, my point is that if you believe that metal is 'a dry genre, with 0 creativity' than clearly you have never really listened to metal. Metal is an amazingly diverse genre and just because some death metal bands like to tremolo pick with blast beats for 5 minutes doesn't mean that every other band plays the same way. I'm sick of this pathetic generalisation. Once you have listened to every subgenre of metal, then you can make comments like that about it...

  • death metal bands like to tremolo pick with blast beats for 5 minutes... this means that every other band plays the same way

i've listened to every subgenre of metal

modern metal is stale and so predictable i'd mind as well listen to generic latin 'fusion'

  • I challenge you to listen to the drapery falls by opeth. If after listening to that you still believe that metal is all about blast beats and speed than I will stop arguing with you because it will prove you're sheer inability to deny what you don't want to believe...

  • ok, you clearly are an ignorat person pretending to be a musician.

  • which slave pedal feels the closest to the main pedal?

    Demon Drive's or Axis's?

to me thats more important than speed

  • It's Gene!
