YOU CAN NOT FLASH PALM PRE!!!!! It will update if you turn on wifi or plug into comp. and you will lose your flash. Theres no way around it. You can choose update later, but you will forget plug it in to charge. If it pops up on charge and you dont choose within 10min it will automatically update. Wasted 70 dollars on 2 full flash's and it has a bad esn. Thank goodness it still hasw GPS, WIFI, and a program I can hack the hell out of. Now its my bad ass palm size comp. With great pict, and video

@Bluishist I was mad when I wrote that, you can flash them it held its flash for over a year and could use the navigation just no apps downloads. Then I started tinkering with it and researching started downloading programs on my comp.Next thing I know I plug it into my comp. and it started to wanting to update. Updated it the first not knowing lost the flash. took it in reflashed it and the problem still excisted. let me know if yours wants to update, do u use the wifi, I used both.

I think this is a scam, getting data to work after this flash would be tantamount to having a 3 legged dog. Well it has a BAD ESN number with verizon so We can't activate it to verizon EVER. so we did the Next best thing which is flash to cricket.. so its a WIN for us. I have T-mobile personally and I agree Cricket sucks

How is flashing to cricket fail?

I flashed my last smartphone to cricket and it worked just fine. I never use my phone outside the city I'm in, so I'm paying half of what I would pay for for a bottom rung data plan at $80. If I wanted an unlimited anywhere else it would cost me $100 or more. Their support is clueless and sucks, but I'm my own tech support.

Also, you do know Cricket runs on Sprint's infrastructure right....?

I guess maybe wasting money = win?
