Right at the end you are painting the target properly - this is the only way to test a lidar gun. Focusing on a single point (ie earlier in the video)may seem methodical and can be useful for a battery of tests but in a showcasing video you simply want to start at the grill, paint it and the plate (if attached) making sweeps to the headlights but always resorting to the centre.  This is how a cop would do it....
