  • "We are not cowards here at the slingshot channel"

  • Extremadamente peligrosa idea.

  • oh man how bad would that be to accidentally hit your thumb when launching it. its highly improbable because of its trajectory but im sure someone out there can manage it lol

  • Damm

  • wow, dude, amazing, dankë, I made it one of that for me

  • Sweet!!

  • now would this crossbow work for fishing (archery fishing)

  • @Rayne208 The bolts look a bit bulky; the water would change the trajectory quite a bit.

  • How long is the draw on the crossbow, Jörg?

  • that would work great against ZOMBIES.

  • @McTavish1959 What if the zombies get legal rights, like it happened to gays and lesbians?

  • @KHindustani Then your headcheese is mine...nom nom nom

  • cool idea

  • cool very cool. Was that you I saw on the discovery Channel?

  • "We're not cowards here at the slingshot channel." This guy is awesome.

  • @Crusadinn I think you mean " Ve re not cowerds here ut thee slinkshot channel " hehe

  • @MrBenchy35 lol

  • So rein aus wissenschaftlichen Gründen: Willst du nicht mal ne Schweinehälfte mit deinen coolen Slingshots beschießen? Das wär mal ein lehrreiches Video^^

  • twigger

    lol

  • fletch-etties, lolololol.

  • is that a german accent?

  • @knifekid666 Yes it is

  • @knifekid666 Yes it is

  • This is great I've just made some bolts, don't worry I am responsible, and I'm going to try it out on some rabbits for dinner. Thanks for the video.

  • @ducksbumhole another idea for my slingshot collection

  • @ducksbumhole The bolt will fly staighter without tumbling, if the tip is much much heavier than the rest of the dart arrow.

  • @johnny771977 Thanks yeah I had to add a couple more nuts in front of the wing nut, NICE!

  • is there a risk that the arrow will not release as it travels foward?

  • I would love to see a video on the crossbow itself.

  • Another great vid Joerg. You literally to a bolt and made a bolt!! Love the idea.

Can I ask what jacket is that your wearing? I have been looking for the something like that!

    All the best

  • Uau, que força isso tem. Fantástico.

Um dia ainda vai lançar algum projétil para a orbita terrestre.

  • now I know what I'm gonna make tomorrow :D

  • AWESOME

  • Woooooow. That's go thou SOMEONE's House's walls & bricks ALL THE WAY. NAH. LOL

  • Das ist das erste mal das ich dich mit Jacke und Handschuhen sehe. :)

  • Joerge's responsibility comment at the end is great. He says, "Don't try this at home. I'm not responsible." He didn't say, "I'm not responsible if you get hurt." Just a simple statement: "I'm not responsible".

  • you videos are brilliant, I somehow don't think that I would be brave enough to shoot a bolt like that anywhere near my hand lol

  • j sprave...i love your channel. i really like home defence weapons

that are non-gun powdered fired..Sharp mind there..no puns

i will build me one of your specials GOT any plans??

    Steve in Ontario

  • Damn I want you as my Neighbor when the shit hits the fan...Great work Joerg

  • 4:20

  • at 3:35 it sounds like porn..no offence :)

  • @GamingMr You evidently have a porn watching problem... might want to do something about that, it has made you into a pervert.

  • Do you think a pana slingshot is more affective than these?

  • I use to be able to use a slingshot good, until i took a flechette to the knee.

  • BAD ASS, LOVE IT

  • fricken awesome

  • Oh sorry

  • i like the bolts but if i accidently hold it on an angle(whille using it in the bunny buster) will it hit me in the hand

  • @jackisgone4ever That is why he states to not try this at home.

  • @jackisgone4ever Yes, you can most definitely stab yourself in the hand with those..

  • i like the bolts but if i accidently hold it on an angle will it hit me in the hand

  • @ 3:44 lefty loosey :P

  • in mother russia this guy rocks

  • you are great man, thank you!I had big fun watching your videos.ALL THE BEST

  • hmm your trigger system got me thinking i wonder how powerful a crossbow i could make completely out of steel with the strongest rubber in existance

  • Comment removed

  • how many slingshots do you have!

  • i would be a coward if i didn't tried this at home

there are no cowards at the slingshotchannel

    fire away

  • and you know we,re going to try it LOL

  • George you have Balls of steel Mate doing that. but could you not take a set of Diablo forks or similar and armour them up some how, Thus making it a bit less of an adventure to shoot those things from a catapult? (sorry, slingshot I,m middle aged and English, a rarity these days but really those things were impressive, you are an Evil Teutonic Genius. Respect to you sir

  • joerg you require 32

  • ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTYYYY!!!!

  • thats what joerg built for his gcse exam in cdt

  • Can you make a video how to make a slingshot pls:D

  • could you show me a distance please?

  • is this safe to do with the sling shot

  • Jorge is more Badass than Da Vinci and way cooler!

  • is there plans for this anywhere?

  • Joerge Sprave + flying bits of metal = the king of badass

  • @megaflyer99 He's one meanaz=m-f-inventor. Gave me the horries but he's AWEZUM BADAZ!!!!

  • I copied your design and ended up having the wingnut not release on the left side and it came back and stuck into my wrist about a quarter inch. The flechettes also bend after they are fired a few times and dont fly true anymore. Ill stick to ballbearings thanks.

  • that's pretty BRUTAL

  • are you the reincarnation of DeVinci?

  • @StanBobPoe Leo was badass too but Jorge is only better at annialation!

  • duct tape ftw

  • how much heavier is a 20mm lead ball than a 20mm steel ball?

  • @DZgoodTimes use equation V = (4/3) * r³ * pi. With r = 1cm ( same as 20mm diameter) your volume is four thirds of pi. Whicht is about 4.2cm³. Now multiply with the density of the respective material. steel (7,8g/ccm) 32g, lead (113g/ccm) 46g.

  • Far out Joerg! you really are a bit crazy man. Great job but dont hurt yourself, your wife will get upset!

  • Kann ich die Entwurfe fur diesen Crossbow uberall finden? traurig fur meinen schlechten Deutschen.

  • Wow! =O

  • wicked flechettes

    phonetically fluh-shet (in english).not fluhshetty.

ur brave (skilled;)) shooting it in that slingshot

  • @Blue79 In French you call them fléchette because its a French word, phonetically flesh at.

different sounds for different languages but these are deadly at any language.

  • Genius

  • @JoergSprave, I think it'd be a neat idea to test these bolts out on ballistics gelatin to see what kinda of damage it'd do on a weak fleshy creature.

  • bloody hell that is brutal!

    this video is also 4:20

  • I like it so much and it can be sport

  • i have got to say you are one very cool character sir. I find your videos very enjoyable and i'm not at all into sling shots at all. I do however completely respect your demeanor as well as your craftsmanship. Keep on doing what you do sir,

  • one little question were do you buy these ik they are home made but do u sell them? if u do can u please tell me how can i get one.

  • Joerg, You are a madman. I mean that in a positive way! I am amazed that you have brought such incredible innovations to something as fundamental as a slingshot. regards, leo

  • Could you use metal rings instead of the loop you have too hold the fletchettes, releasing safely and no chance of snagging up

  • would you be able to combine the crossbow with the roller mechanism from the "Eagle" model to shorten the length?

  • broad heads that would be so cool

  • Ferocious.

You are truly a Slingshot legend.

  • The story of fléchette goes back to World War I when the French dropped them in large quantities from aircraft on masses of ground troops. The "little arrows" were said to be able to pierce a man from head to foot. In World War II, the Germans experimented with multiple fléchette loadings in artillery shells. They also worked on larger single loadings with discarding sabots for anti-tank use.

thats all i know about the flechette XD

  • It takes immense testicular fortitude to fire a flechette from a slingshot... kudos. An idea for you, drill holes in a large diameter lead shot to make it look like a whiffle ball. (3 drilled holes along x,y,x, axis) It does almost nothing to the aerodynamics (other than making it lighter), but increases the squash factor by about 20% (depending on the diameter of the holes relative to the diameter of the shot). You can also insert a steel ball to the center to prevent early squashing.

  • I want to be just like you when I grow uo

  • hey jeorSprave !!!

    can i ask one ???

    what is your ammo ???

  • Jörg, can the sling-X-bow in this video be made from MDF? I want to use the exact band set-up as you have. Would MDF be strong enough in 12 and 18mm thicknesses?

  • @PandaManMk2000 I have no experiences with MDF.

  • @JoergSprave MDF is the garbage they make furniture out of at ikea

  • @pandamanmk2000 I would say say no don't use it. At least not for the main support shaft or the fork. MDF is fine in sheets used in building projects where no actual load is being applied. I wouldn't trust the stress here. Besides for less than you could buy a sheet of MDF for you could just go get a piece of electrical conduit, or the thick walled Gray PVC. Use the MDF for the stock and the trigger mechanism.

  • @PandaManMk2000 mdf Is crap has no strength when wet crap to work with. would make a very dangerous slingshot. dont use it. use some thick plywood

  • @PandaManMk2000 MDF...from my experience has the tendency to get crippled after a while...it crumbles and it reacts decent only to screws...so if you make one make it but dont forget it outdoors

  • Does the flechette really need fletching at the tail to fly straight. Or does it do well without it. Is it optional? Thanks

  • Found the type of bands you use...sir.

  • Awesome ammo, got to try it. Funny ending (don't try this). Another helpful vid. How do I obtain those bands?

  • You like saying brutal don't you? lol you have a great collection of stuff, also, zombie squad FTW!

  • @SEEDOFFILTH33 Well, I have difficulties finding better words to describe this ammo... did you read my Zombie Short Story "The seventh seal"? It's online at the Zombie forum.

  • @JoergSprave no i havnt but ill be sure to check it out!

  • Is it a problem if the sharp bolts actually accidentally shred the bands. Have you encountered this kind of a problem. ??

  • lol i always thought since bolts wernt round ball propjectiles they would fall downwards after launch and hit your hand

  • I hope to see the deer you kill with that in your next video xD

  • hast du die schrauben eigentlich selbst angespitzt???? wa gestern im Baumarkt und hab nichts vergleichbares gefunden (hab mir nun ne gewindestange gekauft - die werd ich mir dann zurecht flexen und anspitzen ^^)

  • I will try to build some smaller arrows for my weaker slingshots :D

  • I think I would feel safe with you by my side in a zombie invasion

  • I like your style SO much..!!

    :-)

  • Hey Joerg, your videos are awesome. I do wonder though, who films your videos?

  • Howdy! Just thought I'd let you know I was impressed enough by these videos to go out and buy my first slingshot today. I want to thank you for introducing me to this dynamic new hobby and please let me add- Keep on doing what you do, sir!

  • Got another suggestion why don't you tinker the Gatling Slingshot to fire Flechette ammo that will be great choice of weapon if there are more than 3 bad guys! LOL

  • big brave balls

  • dude you got balls shooting from a slingshot

  • You are a brave man Mr. Spave!

  • this is really a bad ass trigger machine !!! i love it !!!!

  • this is really a bad ass trigger machine !!! i love it !!!!

  • how do the steel arrows behave on long distance shooting ?

    Are they precice ?

Great video by the way :)

  • hmm, simple, rustic, easily made, cheap to build. sounds like a recipe for something I need to start cooking in my house. lol those things are BEAST. I've tried flechetes for shotguns, and even though theres 20 of them flying at mach 1.5, they dont do nearly as much damage as those massive warheads

  • im all smiles watching ur videos

  • multiplex=plywood?

  • That's pretty cool!! I'm gonna make one!

  • sooo cool

  • Awesome! I wouldn't shoot the darts from a slingshot though :)

  • Nice! Totally Mad Max!

  • Very well done, ive seen your stuff on multiple forums (The high road, spudfiles) and i just subscribed. quick question, have you considered an over engineered lighter flechette? I can see a lighter arrow gaining more fps, and while not increasing energy transference it could increase effective range and penetration for smaller game. Big fan, thanks for your contriibutions.

  • You my friend are a very brave person to shoot those out of a regular sling shot

  • great video mate you should put a lead ball on the end

  • I love how in each video the sling shots get more and more badass.....Next thing you know hes gonna have a slingshot cannon that can fire over a mile!

  • @JoergSprave dude please please make a how to for this epic slingshot x bow :)

  • @JoergSprave is mir persönlich sowie so zu geferlich wen sich so einer nich sauber löst..... will ganich drann denken

  • @evilw0lf Nur die Harten kommen in den Garten.

  • @JoergSprave :D

  • @JoergSprave joerg i cant tell you this enought but i really love what you do please continue with it. oh and i dont know if you are interested in bows and stuff at all but i would really like to see how you would make a regular recurve bow and a compound bow in your own creative way. thanks and stay safe ;)

  • @JoergSprave I WE SEEN YOUR VIDEO WERE YOU SAY WERE YOU GET YOUR PARTS BUT CAN YOU GET ANY OF THE RUBBER IN THE HARDWER STORE?

  • @evilw0lf: es ist sicherer wenn der pfeil vorne gezogen wird, da musst du echt aufpassen, stell dir vor du kriegst es in die hand ;)

  • zajebioza :D

  • Are you wearing gloves because it's cold or so you won't get cut by the threads? Scary stuff btw :)

  • @krap101 It was freezing, and also the hex nut is unpleasant when you pull out. I can make a round knob, but the crude charme of the quick and dirty flechette would be lost. I love this Mad Max approach.

  • I think you should use a metallic tubing like the Freddy Kruger Slingshot with index finger also covered with metal tube. That's more safe than that Bunny Slingshot which your finger is exposed also more ergonomic and I think will produce more powerful shot.

  • @MrChaosHeadz Hand protection is for whimps! :-)

Seriously, if I would hit my hand with one of my lead or steel balls, the outcome would be as devastating as a hit by a flechette. These power slingshots are dangerous and you have to be careful, always.

  • @JoergSprave LOL at hand protection is for wimps but when firing my slingshot with doubled over gold theraband i MUST be careful as my job as a diesel mechanic would be impossible to do with one hand lol.

  • Awesome!

  • What did you get the medals for? @4:02 ;-)

  • @firebelliedtoad That is just the slingshot in my breast pocket, with the bands hanging out... I have done a few things in my life I am proud of, but none of them had to do with the army :-)

  • Great video and great camera skills!

  • Excellent work, yet again! If I don't see a new video by the holidays, I wish you and your family a very happy and merry Christmas!

  • Hi Jörg

Loved the video - could you make one that is double shot "side by side" with rollers?

i am trying fabricate one but i am struggling.

i made my flechette out of hook bolts which are 15 cm long and filled the hook into a bent arrow point

the rollers might make the gun shorter and more powerfull ?

    Keep up the great work!!

    Xizero

  • you have came so far compare your first bow and your latest bow its crazy

  • That's quite dangerous if fired from a regular slingshot but this is not the first Slingshot firing dart here in the Philippines people in the Slum area or in a prison riot this is use by Gangs fighting rivals Gangs probably in the 80s up to 90s(today I never heard someone using it) there are no fork just a piece of stick and a rubber band.

  • Another excellent video thank You and best wishes to you and yours for the Holidays, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

    Rusty

  • Superb! You the big master! Only one question: whether there is no danger of return of an arrow-shell return movement of rubber if suddenly one of two loops will not come off fastening?? Your ideas and products simply amaze imagination!

  • @klim00100 If that would happen, the arrow would simply fall down, as it would slip out of the other loop. But I secured the paracord with the constriction knot, no dangers.

  • Великолепно! Вы большой мастер!

только один вопрос: нет ли опасности возврата стрелы-снаряда обратным движением резины,если вдруг одна из двух петель не соскочит с крепления ??

Ваши идеи и изделия просто поражают воображение!

  • Shoot a pig carcass with that thing...would be sweet.... :D

  • very nice work my friend, you could hunt crocodile with that thing.. :))

  • Joerg, you never cease to amaze! Awesome idea, awesome construction, and awesome video as usual.

  • Joerg Auf Russisch heisst Sabaca Hund :D

  • have you ever tried making explosive (not high explosive since gunpowder cant do that) balls to shoot out of that slingshot? here in america stuff called "Tannerite" is legal so this would be too

  • nice

  • Dude that is so kewl. That is what everyone needs to have resting behind the door. You should be able to use a staple gun and some material to put some cloth loops on the stock to hold rounds for ready use.

  • do you have some sort of license?

  • Dang, you should shoot this at some ballistics gel. I see you're wearing more then a T-shirt. Very surprising!!

  • holy crap! those things are freakin deadly, when the SHTF JORG will be alright lol or the zombie apocalypse

  • Not positive but I think it's a french word and pronounced like "flesh-et" or maybe "flesh-et-ay"
