Longstreet (Berenger) is incorrect in the description of the placement of the troops for the attack. He is correct for Picketts 3 brigades on the right, but on the left wing of the attack during the real battle, General Pettigrews division was in the lead with Trimble's men in the rear in support

General JJ Pettigrew was a great man! I've read his book "Notes on Spain and Spaniards in the summer of 1859, with a glance of Sardinia" I feel honored to read and learn of such great southern!
