Sup peeps new jailbreak cumin out unamed though (so far) and it basically jailbreaks your iPod iPad iPhone 4 life even if you upgrade to the next firmware but I think if u put in dfu mode it doesn't unjailbreak it. But that would be a problem since if ur iPod broke u won't be able 2 return it

I gave up on this and found some comments on how installer is broken (replaced with something called Cydia). I found other comments recommending to FIRST upgrade to 3.0 (easy directions anywhere.. I searched ipod touch 1.1.5 upgrade 3.0), then use redsnow to jailbreak. No instructions needed, the program walks you through the whole 30 second ordeal.
