Audi tried the same thing in 2005 with an A8 but it worked only after they put spiked tires on the car.
@liviu123456 in 2005 it was an A6 and the quattro system of today ist much better than in the eightees. But quattro is only quattro in A5/A5, Q5, A6, A7, Q7, A6 and R8. In the Q1 and A3 modells works the 4Motion 4WD from the Audi-mother, VW.

@sunrise560 It's kinda fishy that all of those videos are X drive VS Quattro and that all of these videos are filled with BMW ads. They look pretty rigged honestly. You can see BMW X Drive printed all over everything in this video. And there's a poster comparing BMW with the competitor's features.
but not everyone owns vcds , if this can be switch by recode the code then it should of been done at factory so this embarrassed videos would not pop up

How often in everyday driving - or even WELL BEYOND the realms of everday driving for that matter- would one find themselves driving on a set of friction resistant rollers??? Of course this demo does not work with Quattro. The mechanically based Quattro requires friction (and not much) to activate accordingly. This demo is set up for the naive - which are precisely the type of people BMW focuses on and tends to attract.

Das hier gezeigte Verhalten ist typisch für ein Allrad-Fahrzeug mit Torsen-Differential. Wenn eine Achse keine Traktion hat, kann an die andere Achse kein Drehmoment weitergeleitet werden.
Der Test mit den Rollen scheint zunächst theoretischer Natur zu sein. In der Praxis passiert es aber vielen Torsen-Quattros, dass sie bspw. bei steilen Garagenauffahrten nicht mehr nach oben kommen, wenn bspw. eine Achse auf festgetretenem Schnee zum stehen kommt und wenn danach versucht wird, anzufahren.
So eine Situation wie sie hier dargestellt wird gibts auf normalen Wegen nicht! oder hat ein Wald in eurer nähe eingebaute Rollen das beide Räder einer Achse keinen Gripp haben? ;-) Wenn es im Wald soweit kommt braucht man eh eine Seilwinde egal bei welchem Auto.....

Ich frage mich nur wie viele gut bezahlte Ingenieure von BMW, da Arbeitszeit und Gelder hineingesteckt haben um diesen einen Vorteil zu finden.
xDrive schneidet schlechter in Testen an als Quattro, nur bei diesem sinfreien rollentest kann xDrive eben punkten und darauf holt sich bmw bis in alle ewigkeit noch einen runter.. schaut euch andere tests an, in denen quattro besser ist, es is alles darstellungssache..
also erstmal bin ich bestimmt kein fanboy oder sonstiges. Ich finde beide Marken sehr Gut. Ich finde sogar dass der neuer nicht der alte besser ist als der Q5. Aber die Tatsache bleibt dass dieses Video gefeckt ist (hab mich extra darüber Informiert, weil ich nicht glauben konnte das Quattro sowas zulässt) Hätte ich nicht gedacht das BMW sowas nötig hat. Und nur weil du kein Ahnung von Autos und deren Technik hast und ein BMW Freak bist, kommst hier mit deinen fanboys und sonstiges schwachsinn.

anyone with a vcds interface and a laptop can recode the Audi .Shame on that BMW dealer that they make publicityin that way .

EDS uns ESP sollten aber die Kraft auf die andere Achse bringen.. hier wurde klar Manipuliert..
(Trifft auf jeden fall auf den A8 zu)
Desweiteren könnte der fahrer leicht bremsen, und schwups würde der audi schneller darüberfahren als du denken kannst ^^
