  • 1:09: Did that driver do his circle check? Because his left rear brake light is out! As far as I know you can get a ticket for that!

  • @BarrieBusesandTrains That, and it looks like the output for one side of the warning lights is not functioning (VERY SERIOUS). Notice when the bus begins to stop, before the sign folds out, only one side flashes. When the stop sign comes out, then both sides flash. ...

  • @BarrieBusesandTrains ... The bus is probably equipped with an 8 way flasher even though the bus only has a 4 way warning light system. Therefore, there are four outputs, two for before the door is opened (to flash amber lights on an 8 way bus), two for after. One of the outputs for before the door is opened must have been disabled.

  • @ThomasBus8516 Ontario only mandated 8-ways in 2005. That bus is a 2004 model year Corbeil Conventional. More like First Student's lack of good repair program, and that they treat their drivers so badly that they're forced to sabotage their buses to get management's attention. First Student's practices made me think multiple times about joining the MTO as a Carrier Compliance officer. They destroyed the industry in Southern Ontario.

  • @BarrieBusesandTrains I hear you about FS. Just was saying why the warning light problem only appeared in the first few flashes, which indicates an 8 way flasher was adapted for 4 ways.

  • @ThomasBus8516 No problem. That might've been the problem, and this is something that the driver should've found on his/her circle check. Ontario was the last jurisdiction to mandate 8-way flashers. They're all red, just like in Wisconsin.

  • That's what I call "culture on the road"!!!!

  • @Dmitryars Civilized country, right? That's the largest school bus out of all school buses you see here on the road, but we have smaller ones for maybe 10 kids max. Not everybody can use school buses, all free, parents' income must not exceed a certain limit, don't know exactly how much but not too high (the income) in order to qualify for government assistance with your kids' free transportation.

  • "DO NOT PASS WHEN SIGNALS FLASHING" This is great! Even the cars coming the other way have to stop.

If this kind of law would have been in PL 40 years ago my uncle wouldn't have died in an accident.

  • @Xjarq I feel sorry for your uncle, but who knows how laws were 40 years ago even in developed countries like Canada! For sure no such modern buses back then, regardless, important is for everybody to abide the law and let the school bus driver drop-off or p/u the kids safely, right?

No such buses and/or laws in today's PL or rest of Europe?

  • @401RoadWarrior

I'll upload a vid to show you how it looks in Poland, OK?

  • @Xjarq Approved...

  • @401RoadWarrior All they have in most countries in Europe is a transit bus with a small sign on the front and back for school uses. I'm not sure how it works, but it's sure not as conspicuous as our buses.
