Nice video...however a shuttle approach is flown at from 18 to 20 degrees nose down and the pre-flare begins at 2000 ft. AGL... 4*

mission sts-1, landing:

point your nose down about 40 degrees, you should be able to see it.

But you have to fly past it and make a 180 turn to land.
