  • The organization that is linked to this video depicts Obama with a Hitler mustache as on of the first images you can see on the site. I think this speaks for itself. This is clearly not a place where reasonable ideas are in control.

  • Save your patience and skip the first 22-min, where he seems to argue that the worlds been brainwashed by the Empire (Britain) into accepting the second law. He must have just read Crosbie Smiths 1998 book The Science of Energy A Cultural History of Energy Physics in Victorian Britain? He starts talking about Thomson and Clausius at 23-min. Clausius, however, did not formulate the second law because he was a *loyal servant of the empire*, he was German.

  • Actually watch the video and you'll see that the empire is not simply "Britain."

Despite your spamming, there is nothing incorrect in what is presented in this video.

(And i would suggest you actually study Mr LaRouche's science of Physical Economics.)

  • Can you direct me to the actual book or article, by LaRouche, that situates this science?

  • Here is a recent piece that is a good introduction:

"The LaRouche Plan: Rescuing the World Economy"

And this is the first of a trilogy that goes more into depth:

    "Economic Science in Short"

  • Thanks for the tips. I started an article on LaRouche at the EoHT wiki. His physical economics theory seems about the same as Scotts 1930s technocracy, albeit more off-base.

If you guys really want to apply thermodynamics correctly to economy, start by going to the eoht HT Pioneers page, and read through the economic-political theories of the 30 people listed there, e.g. Soddy, Rossini, etc., and instead of wasting your time trying to discredit the second law, try to understand how applies.

  • Correctly, in 1850, Clausius was 28 and Thomson was 26, and they were simply two guys trying to amend the caloric particle aspect of Carnots 1824 paper. At 35-min, he says that *Clausius was not precise and that he was crazy*. Then, at 36:40, he goes off the rail stating that Clausius 1865 textbook is *a book about machines that introduces nothing new*.

  • To correct this, quoting from Einstein, Clausius textbook gave the world the only theory of universal content that *will never be overthrown*. Then, at 37:27, he says that there is no scientific basis at all for the first and second laws of thermodynamics (in the form of the energy of the universe is constant; the entropy of the universe tends to a maximum).

  • I can see why the last guy stopped watching at 40 minutes. My head just starts to ache at 39 min, when he says *we know based on our knowledge of science and what Lynn has discovered about the science of physical economy that the universe does not conform to what Clausius says*.

  • Lyndon LaRouche, beyond his political, historic and phylosophical works he is also a scientist, he was the initiator of the SDI and is well known in the economic and science communities of China, India and Russia.

  • I had enough 40 minutes into the video.

The 2nd law of thermodynamics does not prevent greater organization. This is the same fallacy Creationist use against Evolution.

Furthermore, the second law is more than just empirical observation. Statistical mechanics has made it a mathematical truth. It is a mathematical property of statistical systems. It is now part of mathematics, not just physics.

  • You should look into it more than a fragment to make a competent opinion about this seminar.

  • Statistical mechanics do not establish causality, only correlation/syncronizations. Statistics don't bother to determine the contingency of facts, all they do is calculate them in terms of getting a marginal propensity for something; It's like saying climate change is man made.

  • I don't see this posted on lpac tv. I like it its is very perceptual.

  • mr. director sounds quite interesting to listen, as well as easy understandable, similar as how Linn does.

    :)

have to go to sleep now, so I'll finish it tomorrow I guess....

Phil R. , is somehow more difficult to be followed though.. :D
