@TheCountryboy140 yeah. in germany the raceroller is 350€ and the race ready is 579€.. but the raceroller got more aluminium things ! ;) and the servos of the race ready sucks hard. u need to pay 100€ for 2 nice servos. u have to pay 1200 to 1300 bucks if you want a very nice racing car.
depends on which losi 8-ight you want to run usually 600+ for a new one and they are AMAZING cars for the track and good to bash with too but they are better racers then bashers.
its not the xxx-t anymore its the xxx-s i have a xxx-t that i ran many years ago and i got a very old losi buggy from the 80's and a assosieated t2 but now i race the x-ray t2r 007 on the on-road and short course
The motor or the clutch? I can hear that he didnt break in the clutch but I don't know about the motor. And obviously the car itself wouldn't be broken in because its his first day out with it
No it won't slip. That is just wrong information to some maybe new hobbyists who are reading these comments.
Clutch will get "broken in" just fine in normal abuse. Well, there's many kinds of pastic clutches etc so... But these aluminium and composite racing clutch shoes does NOT require to be broken in in any special way, just driving.
If you drive around like normal the clutch will stop slipping and be fully broken in, in about 5 minute. Its best to go easy and smooth on the throttle. BUT if you but in a brand new clutch for your main its smart to just hold the car on the ground and rev the motor for a few seconds to break in the clutch. That way as soon as you put your car on the track your good to go
truggies are easier to drive and they are better of road in the sand and over broken ground the losi is a brillliant truggy it only takes six screws to remove the electronics for cleaning and losi make a quick relese mount for the motor.
if any company like hpi or traxxas deal with that issue i think a monster truck bee a good or better truck .........
even tho losi have made something like that called losi lst i watched many videos losi has done a best job making a monster truck that turn fast and handle like a pro i just saying that if you like monster truck better. i Guss buying a savage x with lower chassis and new body or the lst with a suspension pro kit
even with a lower chasis the Savage handles like a nitro school bus. The only thing i've seen work where a savage can handle like a losi is the fuel line in the shocks trick and adding boe tie wheels.
may be saying two difference Truggies monster trucks i was wrong may be teknology was right i was comparing to other most poplar truck ... even tho the truck is better... i think with the information i have i think the truck is good and the monster trucks are are good to like savage and t maxx all i am saying is monster truck is not very good at corners truck can turn fast in this video but if he was using savage x he cant ... that's the only issue i have with monster trucks ...
I'm getting the 8ight-T RTR monday, and just watching these is making me want it even more. This is a really cool truck. Any tips about it, like things I should watch out for?
ummmm... ya. after your 3rd time starting it, a bomb arms and it explodes after you reach 40mph. actually no. They handle excellent, of course i maintain mine well, but even if i didn't, i'm sure it would still work great. the only thing i would recommend is geting Nitro Force fuel cleaner. sometimes fuel will dry up and get really gummy in the carberator. and in the fuel air filter. so just every once in a while clean that out with the Nitro Force. it evaporates rapidly after you spray it too.
Are you going to be using stock parts? One thing i can say is becareful how you land when you jump. Land on the front ball joint too often will eventually cause it to jump out by itself. They have fixes for that.
Dude, that paint job is nice. I realized you were breaking around the turns. I found out if your setup is right you can punch it before the turn and the losi will hold.
man i think you should all get the Team Losi 8 RTR truggy because it can handle the jumps that savage x 4.6 can and a top speed of 41.3 mph close to savage but savage x :44.1mph and the price is high but see if you savage xi know its strong and jumper but see if you take to to track or a race see when you turn is it just falls to the ground in truggy you can have fast turns and up to 4.7m high jumps close to savage 5.0m and it come with everything even Spektrum DX2.0 full
Well, you're talking about 2 different classes. Truggies are designed to handle on track. Monster trucks, although they can be hopped up to handle tracks, are designed for tracks.
cant remember the name but i just bought a antique that has been completely rebuilt and has everything brandnew i think its has a traxxas 2.5 motor anyway i bought it all for 260 cant fucking wait to pick it up
nice tune you got there "paul van dyke - for an angel". and nice car i lookin at buyin a truggy but i dont know wich is a reliable 1 with easy access to spare parts lool
i have electric and nitro im not crazy about nitro never can get them running right and they always brake i like elctric nice and easy to mantian i have 5 trucks 2 electric 3 nitro
What the! :O kaross - "a blanket made of animal skins sewn together"
Or do you mean body? :) If I remember right kaross is swedish for body. Well, paintjob is actually very simple and made with model spraycans. But thanks anyway :)
it wat fits you best. thats y before you decide to go buy a truggy or buggy you test out other cars. just ask people at the track say look im really interested in buying one can i try yours out to see how i like it cause theres a lot of them jammin, kyosho, losi, and asshoesciated. try em dial it run it!
i prefer my jammin. i tried the losi 8, but it just wasnt right for me. i think it was the way losi moved the engine forward, it just made it a lil to squirly for me. maybe i just needed to get used to it. i guess i just know my jammin and how to drive it. and no, im not putting down losi. i do prefer losi when it comes to 1/10 electrics.
Well, If you really want to buy everything seperately and money is no issue and you are skilled builder etc ;) This car comes also as a Ready to run version including pretty much everything, not much more expensive than this race version with nothing. Get that one.
In our nature we don't have that blue groove gravel stuff, or whatever, which is ideal for rc tracks in your country. Beeing hard and taking a lot of bunishment before needs repairing. If we want to make big jumps we have to make them of concrete, which is ridigulous. Or pure clay, which is in other hand very ass to fix ones it's dried and chipped. Our small club also has not so many members, so track must be easily fixable, even if it wears quickly. Compromises my friend.
Althought I have to say we are planning of changing tracks layout so that we can add one more jump on a very long straight. It's gonna be the biggest jump of our track and is gonna be covered with something so it lasts. Longest jump is now "only" 8 meters.
Why you say that :( I have built that track with my bare hands.. and a shovel. If you mean that theres no BIG air jumps, then I understand. In Finland we rarely have. If you check my "rc buggy jumps" video, you see the same area without the track. That video is from 2003 and track was built in 2004
i think you should get the kit. thats what i did. cause the rtr's shock towers, chassis, turnbuckles, and other metal parts aren't as high quality. but in the rtr that is a pretty good engine.
Its your choice but i say the kit. ( and i recomend you put in somethin like a RB S7 or somethin)
I don't know about that good part. Seem like you are gonna have quite a walk, track is located here at Finland :)
Well, I myself prefer kit-versions, but then you need to get seperately engine, servos etc. Quite expensive. Though 8ight-t is expensive anyhow. But still RTR comes with quite decent radiogear. I dunno about the engine. Hard choice. Car itself is brilliant!

Those on the video, are not the first tanks of fuel that car had on in. I had driven it few tanks in the backyard already.
TomTomsson 2 years ago
You got to break in your clutch because its really slick when its brand new and it will just slip.
