I found it in a map loading point in between 12-14 you have to take a cinder block off a little pulley device and the cache comes down when the balance changes... @whereissandra Isn't there a progress bar/counter for the achievement? You should check it out from the pause menu. There is no way you've hit 45 and still have no achievement.
when your walking in the sewers there is a pipe with a vent above it, when you crawl out of it on the other side you will find five crates with items in it

@DjZephy It's in the tunnel in the level "AntiCitizen One" with all the manhacks. The tunnel is collapsed, sort of making it into two distinct parts. When you have opened the gate for the other rebels on your team, head through the next room and out into the second part of the tunnel. Now turn around and you will see the fire by the collapsed part of the tunnel. That's where your lambda is ;) Hope it helps

@droogie1991 It's funny because a significant number of Half-Life 2's achievements from The Orange Box are worth remarkably little. They are between the 5 and 10G mark, no matter how challenging or time-consuming they may be.
@baioken It should be worth more gamer points due to time and effort required to find all locations. As for meaning nothing, that is where I have to disagree. They show game completion and you can compare with other gamers.
sorry no offense, but I hate that attitude, like achievements mean so much, when in reality pretty much everyone can get them when spending enough time. It also doesnt say youve completed everything in the game, it just says you have completed everything in the game the developers wanted you to complete. for lambda cache 16 and 17, there are no lambda symbols but the supplies are still there. and it does not count even if I take the supplies. Anyone else have this issue?

Lambda Cache 13 - this is off memory so apologies, but theres a section in between 12 and 14 on this video where you have to navigate yourself around some blockade (consisting of cylindrical tubes made from stone or w/e) and as you navigate, the cache is in the air held up by some bricks like some scales - remove the bricks to bring the cache down
1:46 oh i remember that one scared the crap out of me, the same on ravenholm on the first map when you go to that cut off leg and there is a zombie comming from the left and scare you.

Lambda Cache 13 - this is off memory so apologies, but theres a section in between 12 and 14 on this video where you have to navigate yourself around some blockade (consisting of cylindrical tubes made from stone or w/e) and as you navigate, the cache is in the air held up by some bricks like some scales - remove the bricks to bring the cache down
