  • You mean if I didn't have traction control on I would have better times... That was 4 years ago...allot has changed...!

  • You would see better times if you knew how to drive it.

  • lol i can tell when the TC kicked in lol good times though

  • boggin ti the max! First pass, so I'll pass, but dude needs practice!

  • I kinda had a feeling he was gonna beat the fuck outta that mazda, but dayum.

  • well duh it will get first place

  • 12.67 with a non pro driver on stock motor? Did you tune this a certain way? I remember my first drag in my '500 and it was a 12.98... Maybe I just sucked at shifting before haha!

  • At the time just stock with traction control on. Big mistake but I was new at it and didn't remember to shut it off :)

  • @vmaxbaby why would you want traction control off on the strip? id think youd want it on>.>

  • @zx2escortt Because it will kill a run. If it detects wheelspin it bogs the motor which hurts your times.

  • @StandardRacing ohhh ok thanks buddy

  • was this at mason dixion dragstrip ? cus if it is i run up there all the time

  • 60ft time was 2 something. Stock goodyear tires do not hook and I did not lower the tire pressure running 35lbs. Just wanted to see what it would do stock with a non professional driver. Things are allot different now for me and the car :) Do a search for Evolution Peformance GT500 and see what it can really do :)

  • when i said track i ment dragtrip. it could do a tad better with radials or slicks tho. i havent seen one good gt500 pass. modified or not.

  • gt500 shouldent be at the track. its a street car. it doesent hookup. it has lotts of power and no rear end to put it to the ground. he the car is fun for the street and to look at.

  • you're right, it's not the best car for a track. a dragstrip though? that's another story...we're talking about mustangs, lakerboy....

  • you need to learn how to launch that car before you put any more mods on. That car can easily run mid 11s with a better launch. What was your 60ft time on your time slip? if its above 1.9 seconds you can definatly improve that and get much better times.

  • man there is nothing like a v8 engine

  • thats fast for stock

  • Stock Shelby, no slicks, no burn out, do dumping the clutch, just pulled up and when the light turned green EASED it off the clutch. Car only had 300 miles on it. Now it has mods and runs mid 11,s and still spinning in 3rd. Get beside me at a 40 mph roll and it is a beast.

  • break it in first

  • Mine is now running mid 11's with 6K miles on it I could still sell for 50K. Do a google search on Evolution Performance and see what they cars can really do :)

  • Thats weak my Sti runs a 12.9 pretty much stock for a 4th of the price

  • What do these cars cost new?

  • 65K

  • I paid 48K and change for it.

  • its obviously not stock. What mods in this vid?

  • Shelby's are capable of 12.20's bone stock.

  • u mean to tellme on a stock 5.4 Liter not to mention a SC you cant get 10 seconds? lame... if imports Sc their cars they would get 500 out of 2 and 3 liter engines

  • First of all you are talking about a 3900lb car. Sure you could mod the Shelby and run 10's so where is the argument. 500hp is what Ford produced them at, it doesn't mean that is all they are capable of. As for your argument on imports I don't see any stock turbocharged STi's or Evo's running low 12's. So if you want to argue over engines then try to pull 1000hp out of a stock block import. Can't do it but you can with the Shelby or its predecessor the Cobra.

  • i guaranteethey could they choose not to and why they dont is the simple reason why they are in business these days unlikfe ford, chevy and dodge. they are smart where the others arent. i assure you if they wanted a 1000hp supra or a 10 second nsx outof a stock 3.2 liter it is easily accomplished. the Nsx is 3.2 liter 292 HP and runs 12.7-12.8 1/4 mile...

  • The last time I checked Ford, Chevy, and Dodge were still producing cars so I don't know where you get your info. The reason the Big 3 are in trouble has nothing to do with the vehicles they produce it has to do with all the demands from the Unions that work for them. That is the main thing weighing them down. Imports will never have the appeal of a real muscle car so the argument is useless.

  • My R34 Non turbo runs a 13.5 with a 2.5", some new plugs and a power FC.....

nowhere near 500BHP....and its only a straight 6....and thats my first run...although second and so on until i stop are roughly the same LOL....but stil.

My mate has a VY with a GM LS1 pushing round the same power as this shelby and he runs 10's with a set of micky thomsons on the ass.

So maybe this guy is stock street tires too :S i dont know my american cars unfortunately only japs...

  • why don'T you put a video of your R34?

  • That would leave me vunerable to cops wathcing vids of my car and harrassing me where i am sicne we all know they check em out...but i can take a vid of the outside and stuff if youd like? I mean its getting resprayed as we speak with a new body blah blah, may take a couple more weeks...can link you to my facebook accoun or something so you can see it? :S

  • If you reply to me in a couple of weeks ill take vid of it no problems cause i have to send in one for Autosalon anyhow :)

  • i don't see your car still

  • I might have missed it already, but was that bone stock?

Not bad for your first pass if so.

  • your pretty stupid ghost at most drag strips you just get lined up next to random cars moron

  • It looks like you messed up at the start. Let go of the clutch to quick at too low an RPM. I it looks like you were trying to keep it from spinnin tires and over compensated.

  • Neither, the traction control was on, I forgot to turn it off. Finally in the 11's launching at 3000k and slipping the clutch, Much Much better

  • Trackion Control? LOL what is it a BMW? Whats next? Front wheel drive? I have a 1990 GT that I bought in 1995. Been having my eye on the GT500 lately. I wasnt aware of the traction control option. I think I'm gonna buy it. Are you happy with the car?

  • most,if not all, american v8 cars come with traction control, mustang gt, charger, challenger, magnum, corvette. My 2004 mustang has it.

  • I still think traction control is gay

  • LMAO! is that guy in that roller skate of a car for real?! A 500 hp supercharged v8 against a rice cooker?!
