Would u fanboys stop botching. It's gonna be on ps3, ps and 360. The game takes place between the events of mgs2: sons if liberty and mgs4: guns of the patriots because raiden became a father at the end of mgs4 and 360 players don't know the events of mgs4 so it'll take place before it. Also it's called mgs risen not mgs5 risen. Both snakes are dead (Solid and Bis boss) so it's not a number anymore and its not part of the main series. It's a side track like mgs portable ops for psp.

If it is indeed the events between The second and fourth game, then how is Solid dead? He's in the fourth game so that makes no sense. And sorry for the spoiler, but at the end of the fourth game we all know that Big Boss was alive. So either you didn't play the games, or your facts are just plain wrong.

@dxfanboy4005 I agree with you about the war PS vs Xbox.Its ridiculous.Both machines are powerful and you can choose which ever you like(i personally prefer PS but that's my choice and doesn't mean that everyone should do the same).But unfortunately for Xbox users this one is not like the good old classics MGS...in fact it has nothing to do with the other MGS.But in my opinion the game looks greater :)!!!!
its not mgs5..... its just a childish spinoff that doesnt even reflect anything about metal gear solid... and ofcourse this is what they choose to put on xbox god that machine sucks.

@Psycnosis What can i say.We will wait and see when the game comes out.And the reason it seams awesome to me is not the fact that you can cut through walls or cars or "things" its the hole system of handling the sword(you have seen the E3 trailer right?)and i bet this is only the main feature of the game.Anyway i might be wrong.I just say what i believe.Who knows it might be a failure,as you say, but we can't say for sure until we have a better view of the game...right? :)
The trailer says "lightning bolt action" so if this plays anything like Kojima's other title Zone of the Enders (the 2nd runner) it will be AWESOME. Speaking of which they really need to make a Zone of the Enders 3, what they did with the ps2 was unreal; could you imagine it on a next gerneration console?!

heh, I honestly don't care that it's out on both consoles i hate exclusives with avengance ever since Microsoft decided that fable 2 wasn't allowed to be on anything other then the X-box, and to be honest i think every console should have access to all the games and rely solely on the consoles own abilities to sell over the need to make exclusive games. Metal gear solid peacewalker comes out in June for North America I doubt this game would come out in July/August, it would possibly come out during Christmas time

i got a ps3 even though i saw this game is for 360 i only like snake and raiden was only cool to me in part 4 after they showed he isnt wimpy with metal gear solid rising i dont understand why its called metal gear solid if solid snake isnt going to be the main character and if the story didnt revolve around the metal gear in 4 how is rising going to revolve around metal gear or solid snake. The only thing i did not like about mgs4 was the lack of people you can contact on codec during the game it was only rose and otacon that you could contact while playing.
Snake won't talk to him over the codec because he will be dead. The virus will have killed, plus big boss is dead so there are noy many chances of snake being in there. Does anyone actually know the full story behind the game? message me back

But I'm thinking mgs 5 rising happens before metal gear solid 4 becaus eat the end of the 4th one raidens with his family and all that shit so why would he go back to fighting? i got a ps3 even though i saw this game is for 360 i only like snake and raiden was only cool to me in part 4 after they showed he isnt wimpy with metal gear solid rising i dont understand why its called metal gear solid if solid snake isnt going to be the main character and if the story didnt revolve around the metal gear in 4 how is rising going to revolve around metal gear or solid snake. But I'm thinking mgs 5 rising happens before metal gear solid 4 becaus eat the end of the 4th one raidens with his family and all that shit so why would he go back to fighting? So snake could be talking to him on codec but I highly doubt it. IMO they really have to stop the metal gear series. they can make a few more games that involve the past but future games would suck because without snake theres no Metal gear solid.
