Because they're not engineers and they didn't address the damage to WTC 3, 4, 5, or 6 either. That task was appropriately given to FEMA and NIST, who DID address it. Why would you expect non-engineers to explain the collapse?

The 911 commission hardly explained the collapse of the twin towers. That was done in detail by NIST, who also addressed WTC 7. Once again, why would you want non-engineers to explain the damage and collapse?

Firemen heard random explosions up to an hour before the collapse. Is that indicative of a demolition? Lots of things cause explosions in a fire. The news stations knew WTC 7 would collapse and some reporters got confused thought it had already collapsed. Lots of reporting errors that day

BBC, like other stations, was reporting the likelihood of WTC 7 collapsing. The reporter got her signals crossed & thought it already had collapsed. The alternative, of course, is that the BBC were in on the "conspiracy." Why would the conspirators tell the media about it? Makes no sense.

I've seen the video many times. The collapse of WTC 7 was widely expected. I remember watching TV that day and all afternoon the stations were discussing its anticipated collapse. So someone got their signals crossed and thought it already had collapsed. I know, I know, the media never makes mistakes.

They addressed the twin towers because thousands died their, but the engineering analysis of WTC 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 was done by people with expertise at FEMA and NIST. At the very most the top of the tower would have fallen off, the fact it fell striaght down in free fall speed defying the laws of physics shows there was in no doubt explosives in the buildings, it's undeniable, it's even more undeniable when you look at wtc7.

to itsjustdave: there are multiple techniques to bring down a building. Who are you to say this is the only method in play that day? Cast-blasting is another means of high explosives - and it fits the observed blast wves travellin downward. You only say its impossible because all you've seen is the traditional method of bottom-top demolition, but that doesn't include other methods that you have no knowledge of, or even NEW methods created for just this event.

Quite interesting, to bring a building down by installing the explosives at the top of the building - we never thought about that. I have been working in a project "Destruction of complex buldings with explosives". But as anybody can see, the South Tower was struck later and beneath the impact of the North Tower. It came down earlier. Actually enough to proove, where to weaken the building.

The show was called "Return to Ground Zero" and the clip is at the 4:42 mark. I have added the discussion in the firehouse to give this some context.

De Martini didn't do the design engineering on the towers. Robertson & Skilling did. Skilling, like De Martini, is dead, but Robertson says they considered only a relatively slow-moving plane lost in fog trying to land at La Guardia, and they didn't consider the full impact of all the fuel. Plus, there are no documents that show they modeled or did detailed analysis of plane impacts during the design phase.
