  • Oh! thats awesome!

  • Thank you so much sir! God Bless! :)

  • so painful

  • thank god for this man

  • thank you for your help. you r a very good teacher

  • Poor 2, no friends so he has to stay inside of the square root all day =(

  • @KaeruthePaladin Forever alone 2 ):

  • How does this work with a number like 74? Can't get it to work, cause the factors are 1, 2, 37 and 74

  • You should just use 36 and 2 and make it easier

  • i love this guy, he just saved my life

  • if you have no buddies, then there is no simplest form?

  • I'm studying for a huge exam and I have been trying to do these kinds of problems all day. I just have not been able to figure it out until just now! Thank you so much!!

  • Awesome explanation

  • Useless math teachers these days, smh...

    P.s. Thanks!

  • :D Thank you so much!!!

  • My math teacher almost doesn't care about us.

    He just teaches...

  • this is actually called surds, A levels maths (16-18yr olds learn this)

  • My Math teacher sucks so I have to look at this.Good video.Thank God for it!!!

  • Why couldn't you be my teacher

  • THANK YOU!

  • thank you for making my math home work easyer

  • 1=1,4=2,9=3,16=4,25=5,36=6,49=7,64=8,81=9,100=10 So the square root of 72 falls between 7 and 8 so its 7 point something :D

  • @ShineyGreenGlitter No, it falls between 8 and 9.

    8x8=64 9x9=81.

  • @Ruflcopta lalalalala im not listening >:[

  • @Ruflcopta You know what I mean. It was a typo.

  • @ShineyGreenGlitter Didn't seem like one, you said both between 7 and 8, then 7 point something.

Guess you made two lol. Oh well, so long as you get it :)

  • oh you make it all so easy - thanks a lot! I'm learning it all by myself.... :)

  • He explained that better in 1 minute then my teacher did in 2 weeks

  • Huh???

  • pause at 0:34 LOL

  • thank u very much . i was having a hard time understanding this but u make it seem look very easy and it really help me . i appreciate it :)

  • It says "simplifying", not solving. So the answer is 6(sqrt)2, not 8.loadsofnumbers. If you solve for his answer then you get the same as if you solved for the original question.

  • Square root of 72 is 8.4852813??????

  • Very well done, understandable and easy.

  • U ARE AMAZING!!

  • i would do that but the math book requires a decimal answer!

  • @shafiq123098 so multiply 6 times the square root of 2 and it gives you a decimal answer.

  • I'm brushing up on my math skills for the GRE and this really helped, especially since I haven't done this since the beginning of high school. Thank you for posting this!

  • you haven't solved the problem - only showed a process towards solving it.

the answer for the square root of 72 is 8.485281374

  • Thanks for helping us idiots out. Keep up the good work.

  • I wanna fart on his face

  • I GET IT :D

  • Awesome! I've been working on a problem for 45 minutes-you helped me in one. Keep up the great work!

  • u lied, that was 76 seconds or sumthing

  • what if all the factors are prime???

  • @malletbjm If they're different prime numbers, you can't simplify it.

  • @malletbjm uhm all the factors ARE prime. that's why it is called prime factorization

  • @malletbjm yeah i was wondering that too... like the square root of 237.... that's 3 times 79, which are both prime numbers

  • Someone make a video that actually really teaches for beginers cause these dont

  • 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

  • I ignored the math and stared at your hair for the whole time. :D

  • how do u solve for 71

  • umm so whats the square root of 72??? 2 x 2 is 4 and 6 x 6 is 36.....not 72. this didn't really help me.

  • 2x36=72 so 6x6=36

    ans=6√2

I believe it is way simpler than yours

  • whats the square root of 69???!!?? Cuz ive been tryna work it out oww!!

  • how do u find sqrt of(81) it breaks down to 41 and 2 we cannot break it further .

  • @supritshah1289 the square root of 81 is 9. 81 is a perfect square

  • how do u do if u have sqrt of (71) ?

  • Comment removed

  • Am I the only one who started laughing hysterically when he said 2 doesn't have a buddy? That's the first time math has made me laugh, thanks!

  • 10x better then the other fuckin 8 min video lmao

  • soooo the square root of 72 is 2 right? lol

  • What? WHAT?!?!??!

  • Still dont get the last part

  • THANKS ALOOOOTTTTTTTTT :) i've been trying to figure this out for over an hour and the text book didnt explain it anyway way like this THANKS again

  • Thank you! my teacher taught a more confuzing way!

  • finally makes sense, thanks for the help bud

  • Wow, you are very good. Thanks for posting....

  • Shit I wish you were my math teacher. My current one doesn't teach me anything. Thanks you are a badass

  • I like his positive attitude. It makes math not as depressing as it is.

  • i wish i was good at math ;(. everyone gets it in my class but i am left out and not knowing what to do :(:(:(:(:(

  • Stupid Comic Sans.

  • thank you this is a great video

  • 15 people divided by a negative square root

  • This was helpfull but math is shit :)

  • Hey thanks for the break down!!! for real saving my butt

  • OMG thank you I am back in school after 20years and math is kicking my booty!

  • THIS IS SOOOOO HELPFULL!!!!!!!!

  • it is totally 60 seconds crap b'coz according to this guy

square roots of numbers 65,66,67,68,69,70 ........80 is 6√2.

    so don't fool innocent people.

  • yeah this didn't help at all. Gah! i freaking hate math

  • Hi, show me Sq root of 75 ???

  • Thankyou for sharing this prized info you saved me lol

  • easiest way so far.......thanks!

  • Finaly shit I just wanted to know how to do this again. The other guys suck, one guy took a whole page to square 3. I don't want that I just want this.

  • boobs

  • Thank you So much!!!!

  • it took my teacher 15 minutes to do that?

i think he is better than my math teacher

  • Yes, yes,yes...

  • What he say?

  • math is indeed crazy, i am freaking failing algebra 2 right now...arrggg

  • thanks! totally helped me just now!

  • Thanks! Simple and to the point!

  • umm if you use any numbers like for example break down 72 with 24 X 3 WILL YOU GET THE SAME ANSWER??

  • @gennkill

    yes

  • Comment removed

  • kewl

  • This helps me to understand it better, thanks so much! I don't understand most of what my teacher says and she makes us take crappy notes :/

  • get a better marker

  • Lol this guy is like a real life version of Dennis from Always Sunny in Philly. Thanks for the help by the way

  • thanks man

  • Thanks, you're the man! >w<

  • uhh, to what use?

  • Great video!

  • in my bank clerical exam, i have to solve an entire problem involving no of square roots under 30 secs.what abt that?

  • thanks a million this really helped... trying to study the night before my algebra regents lol!!!

  • omg omg omg!!! my teacher tried explaning this shit to me but shes atotall bitch and i made no sence but u my friend my sence!!!! thank you thank you!!!

  • try to simplify 95

  • Haha, love this guy! Makes a video called simplifying square roots in 60 seconds aaannd the video is 1:24.

Props to the guy thou!! Great explanation!

  • omg! thank you so much. i learned how to square root in 7th grade, but later on i kind forgot it. i spent so long trying to remember how my teacher did it (it was like this. the easy way!). i just kept finding stuff about using boxes and adding decimals....... I was about to go crazy! but this was so easy.

  • did u know square root of 3 divided by 2 = sinus of 60?

  • Wow...I wish you were my teacher.

  • this is so easy. idk why my teacher did it some stupid ass complicated way when he couldve taught us this.

  • omg can some one explain 2 me what he just did

  • ROFL ROFL ROFL square root of 72 was my math problem ROFLCOPTER

  • Wuuuuuuuut...

  • Thank you very much. It made a whole hour of class alot simpiler.

  • thanks man, my teacher is terrible rofl, went through all these unnecessary explanations that got me so confused. You saved me! :D

  • this guy is a man among men ;)

    good video though:)

  • Sir, you have no idea how much this is going to help me!! Thank you!! ♥

    -D student

  • out of all the videos i have seen your is the easiest!!! thank you!!!!!!!

  • square root of 72 on my calculater us 8.48 what the hell does 6/2 mean ?

  • @tubehoundd fractions

  • waht does six root 2 mean?

  • You make it so simple better than any other video. Great job

  • Is 6 times the square root of 3 = 54?

  • I wish my teacher explained this better, so far my 6th grade teacher and my current (7th) have been pretty bad at explaining things

  • can somebody reply to my dilemma?

i tried simplying the square root of 90 and i got 15 times the square root of 2 not 3 times the square root of 10 as my teacher pointed out

i thought, using the factor tree, both methods would work but turns out they aren't equal

do perfect squares have to come first outside of radicands?

  • 90 is 3*30, 30 is 3*10 and 10 is 5*2.. Therefore 90 is 3*3*5*2. Cause of the two 3s, the squareroot of 90 is 3*(squareroot of 5)*(squareroot of 2) [if we'd not split up 10 into 5*2, we'd get your teachers result 3*(squareroot of 10)]. Your "result" can be represented by 3*5*(squareroot of 2). Now it isn't hard to see, that yours (3*5*(squareroot of 2)) do NOT equals the real result 3*(SQUAREROOT of 5)*(squareroot of 2).

Hopefully I could help and apologize my orthographic and grammatic mistakes.

  • Lol my mind just went blank out of nowhere so I had to watch this. I forgot how to tie my shoes earlier today.. Should I be worried?

  • thank u!!!!!!! u helped a bunch!!! i can do my homework now!

  • cool!!! :)

  • try simplify 942754389578937589237589743895637856784356936593476596359634956395636578936583689341768435687436785163785615863785643785694365963945999 !

  • minus the space :)

  • @cutefishyz it took me 3 days, its 134568888909873211123636890-7690667289 squared

  • @cutefishyz stupid unuseful comment

  • @cutefishyz 11 thumbs up for that? sad how dumb people are

  • @Jarrodmontelius can you solve it ? guess not ... so don't call peoples dumb

  • @cutefishyz the square root of that my friend is 426876558578567545677876

  • @cutefishyz

    nothing is impossible

    this is the answer

    all = 782

    782 is 1 times 782 ...

...and 1 can be written as 1 to the power 2.

So, the 1 can just be pulled outside of the radical sign, as a 1 ,

and the other factor, the 782 , just stays inside of the radical sign.

    √782 Or, = 1√728

  • @cutefishyz 30704.30570783

  • @cutefishyz smart alec!!!!

  • @cutefishyz Do you know an easy steps to find the square of any irrational nunmber ..>??? tks

  • wow thanks made it so easy, college prof is a moron why dont you teach me

  • Thanks a ton. I got like 50 of these problems for homeworkk and was freaking out until I saw this. Can you do one with fractions and square roots being multiplied by others for future reference?

  • this helps thanks

  • why cant they explain this in school the way you do!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • in school, they cant explain right, when i watch a vid there it always pops up

  • I FUCKING LOVE YOU !. [NO HOMO} :)))

  • I love you. So cool!

  • I always use this way, but it takes way too long.

  • thanks

  • THANK YOU! I went through pages and pages of notes and still didn't understand, I wish I would have found this sooner! Just in time for finals too. Thank you so much! =)

  • thank you soo much you just helped me not fail algerbra 2 pre ap class!

  • did it better than my teacher :D

    5/5

  • ye my teacher sucks in explanation xD

  • This is definitely a great technique. I've never seen this shortcut before :)

    Cheers!

  • THANK U!!!! I wish our teachers would teach us those techniques! I AM 25 YEARS OLD AND I JUST NOW UNDERSTOOD HOW TO DO THAT (finally!) and I am not a dummy, I have a 3.55 GPA in grad school, but math has never been my friend

  • u dropped out? im 12.

  • no kiddo. I didn't drop out. I just have never been good at math. however, I came to the USA from anotehr country, I learned the language and I went to grad school here and belive it or not i graduated. Wish you luck! May be you will be a famous economist one day. BTW before you judge people - THINK! Teachers in my country do not use such methods as in this video.

  • @tissa71 Buy a calculator that'll do simplist radical form ;D

  • i tried this with the number 1500 so i went 1500 > 5 * 300 > 5*60 >5*12>6*2>3*2 however i didn't find any "buddies" yet i know the answer is 10 square rooted to the 15...ugh exam in 7 hours...fuck...

  • Short, Simple, Understandable...love it

  • You totally saved me. My teacher couldn't even get me to understand, and you taught me in a lesson on YouTube in 60 seconds lol. My teacher must be so proud of herself :p

  • thank you! helped me alot on my homework!<3

  • I needed to get back into the square roots mind set and this worked perfectly. Makes perfect sense.

  • say, 89?

  • 89 is the 24th prime number, you'd have to do it the long way to arrive at 9.433981132056603811320660377622640716984... - Since it's irrational, you can simplify it with 283/30.

  • what about numbers that you can't multiply two numbers to obtain?

  • then they are in thier simplest form

  • thank you so much ! im in alg2 and no one has ever taught me to do it -.-

  • THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH, seriously

  • yup you just accomplished what my honors alg 2/ trig teacher couldnt accomplish in 90 mins. thanks bro

  • the video is 1:23 long . . . . .

  • Correct.. The video is, but the lesson is 60 seconds.

  • your mom was 1:23 long

  • thanks guy

  • Thank you for making math simple. I need to refresh my Algebra skills after 20 years.

  • @LCMannIiames LOL
