  • and this is my foot up ypur ass'

  • you get an YOLD

  • guys this may work but it will destroy the warranty and it will cause the E79 so have fun

  • ye i think the towels heat up the xbox and like get it very hot and then you leave it ot dry and then it resets the hole console

  • i believe the towel trick completely resets your console, therefore your console needs re-find what was wrong with it in the first place. That's why it's only temporary. Peace Out, Mates!

  • i just got an xbox and im scared of the rrod

  • It doesn't work a 2nd time for me..

  • from now on i'll let at least one towel near my xbox in case of this problem

    the holy towel yeah

  • haha its on its making a noise

  • ima start sayin that "fuki me side ways!"

  • TOWEL OF LIFE xD!!!

    5/5

  • put the av lead in dip shits

  • so does doing this void the warranty

  • it works but temporary fix

  • no any more :(

  • Mine Works!!!!!!

  • Well The Answer Is Yes!

  • i winder if this trick still works if my xbox was broken for 4 years with the 3 red lights of death??????

  • at this point, it's probably worth a shot

can't take the blame if it doesn't work, but hey, if it's broken to start with, it's gotta be worth a go, right?

  • ima try this

  • yeah it does not work you guys it breaks the av cable , i tried it and i left the screen on and like outa no where picture was gone and it just broke the av cable if you any problems just call microsoft and have them repair it because this is bull shit

  • Breaks the AV Cable?

Not sure quite what you mean when you "left the screen on", but did you leave the AV cable plugged in while you were "cooking" your 360, because I'm sure that's probably not a good idea...

It's definitely a risky strategy to try and bring a machine to life, but it works suprisingly often it would seem...

  • does the xbox get messed up after 5 days after using the towel trick???

  • i'm sure it varies from machine to machine (just like how long you have until it first red rings...), but Steve's lasted a decent while... although I don't think he played any more on it and just traded it in or something, not sure what happened with it.

It's probably not a permenant solution, but in this case I think it was a great way to fix a problem Microsoft won't fix, and then if that develops into a red ring problem, then it can be fixed... such a complicated process!

  • and it fucking worked =]

  • awesome! glad to hear it.

sure do hope mine lasts... although kinda convinced it won't, these things seem to die when they want, how they want...

  • well im still gonna send mine off because I found out from friends that it only worked for a bit and it worsens, my mate did it so much they had to send him a new xbox.

    but thanks again lads =]

  • welldone lads, that was quite amusing, I couldnt be bothered to go get towels, so its wrapped in my duvet lol =p

  • um i think u did it wrong do it like this it will last faster turn it on wrap it in 3 towels for 25 mins then u should see 2 red blinking light wich means it is major over heated turn it off let it cool then ur good for a next 2 weeks i have my own elite in my room but my 60 gb x box 360 i do this 2 every 2 weeks

  • hahahahahaha nice guess but it did actually work

  • the av cable is not plugged in

  • we were using HDMI...
