  • .... And, to answer a previous question, I cut off the rear 'lug' of the printer cover plate to let the tubes exit.

  • .... Also, the tank I used was a 4 Floz model aircraft tank available at any model shop. Lower two connection tubes bent to the bottom of tank and connected to the printer tubes, and the upper one left open (for connection of another tube to such excess ink out if ever necesssary). Make sure you insert all threee metal tubes through the bung.

  • Please get rid of the music and add a simple commentary!!!

Also, I believe the ink does indeed need to flow 'downhill' as on the original, so a short bottle would be a good idea (I have just done this and fitted one to my R1800).

Thanks for the extremely helpful video. It saved several hundred pounds in ink stock cost, as well as the cost of a new printer.

  • This is all good but I am wondering how the tube doesnt snag in the casing fastener!! and how doe the ink move uphill surely it needs to be down hill!!!

  • how about canon printer ?

  • Would be much more useful to have a voiceover clearly explaining what is being done, instead of the short, awkwardly repeated background music clip. On those shots where the person's hands are blocking the view, it would also be helpful to cut to a different camera angle, to show the operation.

  • Poor camera angle and not close enough. Really can't see how this was done.

  • It is good to change the waste in tank before it full or i just wait until become full.
