  • treos are the best woofers out there if you want a woofer that can take alot of abuse and hit the low notes... and for those trying to compete, if you can afford em, the treo SSX and up are extremely good for competitions...

  • ^^^^very true. i got the csx pure comp edition 15. u know the one that says do not us daily.... i use it daily and is sounds very good for a sub that weighs over 80 pounds

  • sweet song...

  • nice system yo. sounds/looks loud and clean. check out my vid response.

  • try lower frequency ;)..

  • I have a new box going in there with interchangeable ports(30hz, 35hz,40hz and sealed panel), a TC sounds 5200 and IA 40.1 on 16V so stay tuned, it ain't over!

  • @stefuzzz yah drop that shit to 60 hz

  • i have one 15" treo ssx sub and i want to buy another one but the shop i bought it from closed down and i cant find any ssx subs anywhere. where can i buy them? anyone help please.

  • metro audio dynamics out of omaha, NE makes treo so contact them

  • bad ass dude

  • YOUR STILL A BITCH!

  • oh yeh i gots me 2 of those too...on my 4 door sedan infinity g35 two ssx 12s with two 2000 watt xtermernater amps wit 4 memphis audio hives..that shit bumps like a mother fucker...... and rollin on some 22"s

  • damn u turn it up any louder its gonna tear that pontiac grand prix gt apart..

it bangs..nice vid..u shood drive through the hood wit that shit up like that..hah lol

keep up the good work bro

  • i got a 15" ssx treo also with a 2000 watt hifonics brutus amp shit beats my brain

  • that fucking shit is weakk

    shizzzweeezeeakkkkk

  • Hahaha, better than what you got! Polo.. ;)

  • ur a fuckin retard.. you couldnt even afford 1 15" ssx treo yo uknow how much they cost??? about 1 grand son

  • ROFL you got ripped off. i bought an ssx 15" for 350...also straight from the dealer they only cost 750. shows how much you know cock sucking dick wad.

  • Polo? then why does it say "Grand Prix" on the dash? nice sub tho

  • Hmmm it says Grand Prix GTP because that is what the car is, lOl. and Polo is my name.. ;) >Polo..

  • ahhh, sorry Polo, i thought "VW Polo" lol. what size is the sub?

  • It is a 15", dual 1ohms and for sale $350 plus actual shipping. Polo..

  • a 15" isn't little lol. i was thinking it was a 10" or something lol

  • Your last post made you look like a total dumb ass. Excursion isn't everything. An Fi BTL has lower Xmax than the SSD, but will take much more power, and get much louder. BTL Xmax is 16 mm, SSD Xmax is 21 mm. Where did the Pyramid thing come from? It's been fun, but you refuse to learn, and arguing with someone who won't admit they're wrong gets old after a little while.

  • Your capacitor reads 14.4V, because it did get charged back up, but it doesn't store enough power for more than short bursts. Just do what I said with the test tone, play it for a while at max. If Metro Audio Dynamics is telling you that a capacitor is a good substitute for a HO alternator, why the hell would I trust their word on the power an SSX will take?

  • and you realize theres a reason treos flex 3.0 top to bottom right? if you did you probably would waste it in a sealed box. polo go back to the early '90s with your pyramid subs that flex a total of an inch. the you and your sealed box might fit in. if it's not sealed and thats all the further your sub flexes with 6500w get your shit looked at by a professional. and to the kicker comment... your amp was soundstream?? i run treos with a jbl amp WTFYTA

  • 3 inches* forgot that

  • when did i say it can make power. it stores power. well it doesn't really store it theres just so must copper wire wrapped in it that it's like it stores. thats why when i disconnect my cap. it stays charged cause the auto drainer is broke. so when my amp calls for the power the rca's tell it to it sometime draws more than even what the altern. produces. then the alt. charges them both back up. when i disconnect my cap it still has 14.4 volts on it from the altern.

  • ok when i say rms i mean that is the recommended max constant power i can give a fuck less what the science meaning is

  • A capacitor isn't this magical device that can make current appear out of thin air. If your amp is drawing an amount of current that your alternator can't provide, another battery or a capacitor won't make any difference. Anyway, I have homework to do, and I have Electronics class tomorrow morning at 8:30, so I'll be sure to educate you some more tomorrow.

  • yea thats why i listen to music not solid tones. if i just listened to solid tones all the time then yea your right but in music theres pauses in between beats and different beats that don't require the same amount of power as each other. KEEP LEARNING you might know enough. your talkin about things that require constant voltage not car stereo shit listening to music

  • No, when talking about tuning a subwoofer enclosure, you are talking about the Fb.

  • what its far from tuning a ported box cause theres less factors??

  • We can leave the sub thing alone, the only way one of us will prove they're right, is to meet up and put an SSX on 6.5 kW. Bring an SSX, an amplifier capable of driving 6.5 kW to it, and a supply of power for that amp down to Victoria, B.C. and we'll give it a try.

  • or you can call metro audio dynamics and ask them whats the highest wattage they have ever had a SSX blow at

  • In regards to your question on RMS, it is an incorrect term when it comes to power (watts), but you already knew that. I don't buy pre made boxes, no. I have built a few myself, and understand the basics of design. I used Bass Box Pro 6.

  • No problem, always happy to teach those who are looking to learn. I am far from an enclosure expert, but I will do my best.

A ported enclosure uses a vent that allows you to make use of the waves produced by the back of the cone. You tune it by playing with the ratio between port area, port length and enclosure Vb. A passive radiator, or drone, works much the same way, except you tune it by changing its weight in relation to the Vb.

  • let me guess you buy premade boxes??? that must be why your tryin to tell me that eh? I make mine with a program i downloaded. its a custom box maker. you type in the specs.(freq., sub specs., ect.) you want and it tells you what to cut the boards to and what wood and size of wood

  • yea and i'm waitin for you to try sayin something you know nothing about. tell me again why you can only tune ported boxes??? i don't know. ohh and tell me again why a sub maker would put the RMS of a sub 4000 less the what it can handle. to make more money??? that means tsx's must handle 1500w rms looks like i wont have to pay $900 for the ssi's. 2 tsx's will handle 2400w huh? 200 each shiiiit

  • $900 is the price for ME to trade in my two TSX's and get 2 SSI's with a custom treo box

  • Since you believe you can tune a sealed box, and a capacitor is a suitable alternative to a high output alternator, I know you don't know shit. You can use different Vb's, sure, but that is far from tuning a ported enclosure.

  • no i said it was a suitable alternative for a second battery dumbass you said for a alternator

  • thats if no space for a second battery

  • It only proves you can browse the internet, copy and paste, and post comments on Youtube. Cmon, I'm waiting for you to bitch at me for talking about RMS Wattage.

  • since you think you can only tune ported boxes i know you dont know shit

  • OK. I never questioned whether Treo operated out of Omaha, so what are you trying to say?

  • well fuck you people tell me i'm wrong bout everything else you tried tellin me i dont know why you tune boxes to certain frequencies. so that was to keep your mouth shut.

  • of their website

TREO Engineering Moves to Omaha, Nebraska

TREO Engineering today has announced the move from Englewood, Colorado to Omaha, Nebraska. Previously TREO Engineering operated out of facilities in both cities. The consolidation of both facilities made economic sense with the addition of a new 10,000 square foot building in Omaha.

  • You know I live in Canada, yet you are telling me to go to a shop in the United States. I am far too lazy, broke, and I have responsibilities here. I don't really care what they say. If Polo was running an SSX with 6500 W RMS on tap, without any problems, an SSX can take it. If you know as much as you do how come you haven't told me off for talking about RMS Wattage?

  • why would i tell you off for talkin bout RMS. you gonna tell me RMS doesn't matter. well in that case who knows how much power i run my shit at. it says 1335 rms dynamic power and since i get 20v bursts from my cap then who knows right. highest volt burst i had was 19.7 actually.

  • goto metro audio dynamics in omaha,ne and talk to them yourselves

  • why would i need to email treo. they make them in Omaha, NE. thats where I live.

  • Anyway, continue this with new comments, the replies are ending up on the next page.

Polo, let me know when you're satisfied, lol.

  • lol

  • Polo, did you ever get a vid of the 5200?

  • I was going to but I am gonna wait till I fix the amp and get the new enclosure in. I think the last burst at 18V was to much for the Z1a but I am about 1/2 done repairing it. When I get back from FL I will finish it. New box witht he bedliner is looking sweet and if I get my way I will paint the TI cone with a glow in the darg enamel...Polo..

  • Sounds sick, man. A log of your repair would be cool. Have fun.

  • either way 6500w rms to 1 sub that can handle max 2500 rms yep you proved me wrong on everything. I KNOW I'M RIGHT. your makin your selves look stupid you can't even say anything just quote me and call me stupid ohhhhh you proved me wrong huh??

  • That's like saying a t5001bd just can't put out 900 W+ because it's only rated for 500 W.

  • 400w is alot different then 4000w difference. those treos can only handle 800 over the recommended max RMS or let me guess i'm wrong on that too. well if you think i'm wrong on that go inform the makers they are wrong too

  • The manufacturer will rate their equipment for much less than it will actually handle to save themselves from dealing with stupid warranty issues. He said nothing about driving the subwoofer with 6500 W tone for an hour.

  • you must not have heard me i've taled to the makers before and they said on SSX's its only 800 on TSX's its around 450 more then recommended 4000 more???? GET REAL

  • You've talked with Treo, huh? Care to copy and paste the email. Remember, typing it yourself won't prove anything, we know how literate you are ;).

  • Really? Well how come i managed to run my SSi 12" on 2400WRMS daily, when there only rated at 750WRMS?

It all depends on the install.

  • Lol. I love people who talk with no knowledge. Well, actually, I love laughing at them.

  • do you know anything about it??? so you wouldn't know whos right anyways huh?? oh i mean ehh

  • Was that supposed to be a Canadian joke? Hmm. I better go call my buddy, he's really good with witty come backs, and this one will have to be absolutely ingenious to do your insult justice.

Yes, I would know who's right. It would be the guys who know that you can't have a sealed enclosure that has a port or PR tuned to a certain frequency...

  • I should add to that: I'm a teen-ager. Once you hit 13 you gain knowledge and understanding of anything you choose. Once you hit 20 it all goes down the drain, and you forget you ever knew everything ;)

  • wow i hope that wasn't the come back you called your friend for. ohhh so since your a teenager you still think you know everything is that what your sayin

  • That was a joke. Notice the ";)"

  • SSX15.11 SEALED 2.1 cu ft F3=40.2 Hz

from treo website recommened sealed box and frequency so what were you sayin

  • I don't see the point you are trying to make. Treo's recommended box specs don't relate to this whatsoever. They're just suggesting that your ported box be tuned to 40.2 Hz, which has no bearing on this discussion at all.

  • notice it says sealed then read the message i sent you

  • F3 is the point at which a sealed box's, (or, any box for that matter.) frequency response rolls off to -3dB. It is NOT the tuning frequency.

  • Hey Adam, Post some more "Advice"

Im lmao at it. Nice vid Polo.

"1 farad to each 1000w. and when you run anything over 1500w people are advised to run one or the other."

Advised by who? BB or CC sales ppl?

    Get a clue.

  • i didn't know people went to best buy or circuit city for car audio??? why? and see the people that i buy shit from dont want me replacing my alt. and battery from the strain of my system draining it constantly. with a cap my battery never went down below 12v cause it took the power from the cap. a cap is like a battery its used to store power. thats why when shit beats the number goes down on the cap if you couldn't understand anything else

  • Play a tone at max before clipping and tell me that your cap is as good as a high output alternator. Leave the tone on for a half hour lol. With the appropriate HO alternator your voltage will dip, but will then pick up again. With the cap it will just drop, and drop, and drop, until you fry the car's electronics.

  • free-air means they can be put in any box ported, sealed, or even just in your trunk with no box. ask anyone with treo's your fuckin stupid if you put them in a sealed box.

  • "free-air means they can be put in any box ported, sealed, or even just in your trunk with no box. ask anyone with treo's your fuckin stupid if you put them in a sealed box."

    My god you're an idiot.

  • then whats it mean???

  • Well...I'm sure that you read that it says tuned to 32hz,that means the enclosure that his subwoofer is in is a ported enclosure. He was running a TCAB box at one point in time but he may have built a new box I can't recall.Oh and so your dumb ass knows...caps are more useful when used as a filter not helping the current draw demands.Don't you have an 18volt XStatic Batcap in there?Oh and Adam if your system bumps harder let's see you make a vid and show your install.

  • filter the power????? no its used to store extra power for when the battery doesn't have it. thats why on old ones you had to drain them when you disconnect it. what would it filter. oh no power your not good enough for this amp turn around. do you know anything about how electricty works

  • and if you knew anything. its best to use a cap when you don't have the room for a 2nd battery. 1 farad to each 1000w. and when you run anything over 1500w people are advised to run one or the other. extra battery or cap. if you dont have fun replaceing alternators. but i guess you knew that right???

  • Adam, you're a complete dumb ass. This guy has a high output alternator and a complete 16volt charging system(Sits at about 18volts).Read the poster of this video's text down below, read it yet?

  • well then you must have missed when he said it was sealed. he deleted it. just like a bunch of other comments i made that he couldn't back up

  • you stick with your sealed box and i'll beat louder with my custom ported box anyday

  • your tellin everyone that you put 6500w RMS on a single sub that can only handle 2500w RMS. Yep I'm the idoit. BTW treo's are free-air subs. you put it in a sealed box??? 17 yrs old???? you asked why i didn't post videos so you saw my profile. i'm 21. And what was your old amp again??? since you still wont answer that?? you "upgraded" from 4500w to 5000w WTF?(look up that amp its RMS is 5000w at 1 ohm) 16v? description says 17v? 16v alternator? no cap.?

  • Adam, listen to what your typing, you sound reatarded! Treo are not free-air subs moron, dude you are stupid! Old amp was a Sound Stream XXX-6500. BTW dude the Z1a'a power has been measured 5000W @ 12V not 16 at 16V was measured at 7600rms, and if you run a cap you are a moron, straight Noob, now STFU! Polo..

  • noob what is this a video game??? BOTTOM LINE you keep tellin me that your runnin 6500w RMS on a SSX that handles 2500w RMS max so you might wanna look at what your typin

  • Lmao adamy3k1 Dont talk shit about what you dont know. Put all that dynamat in your car and tell me it rattles more. Good shit polo

  • Thanks... You know assmunch just posted up a heap of shit so I deleted his ass. I am 36 and have been into car audio since right around 1984 when I installed my first EQ wich was a Pyramid and everyone loved them go figure. All I need is a little 17 year old twat like Adam telling me I am full of shit, lOl. POLo...

  • BTW fool, it is now power by a DD Z1a on 16V at 1ohm so do the math and FYI, this is a single sub, meaning one not a multiple subs system so if you wanna put something up lets see, you ain't even got any movies up cheap ass bastard try buying a video camer and lay off the kicker shit... LMFAO. Polo

  • Dude your a moron! That car has 425 sq ft of dynamat extreme and another 5sq ft of peal N seal, my car doesn't rattle at all, only the cat cover a tad. It is powered by a XXX-6500 on 16V at 2ohms, so ya around 4500 and the box is tuned to 35hz. So go ahead bump yo cheap ass shit through your neighborhood thinking your the loudest because your car can rattle, people are just laughing at your stupid ass! Polo...

  • gonna be tough finding a better deck... rofl

  • No sh!t, lol. Pioneer P9800BT, must be crap I'll go buy another, hahahaha... There isn't a mic in the world going to pick it up clear... :)

  • you should get a better deck it'll improve the sound and i'm guessin its not ported??

  • a better deck? your a dumbass. and a SSX on 4500 RMS SEALED? wtf. "get a better deck itll improve sound" once again, tard, its from a camera, you think its going to sound crystal clear?
