That's Rage of the Gods for ya, it's actually, according to Game Informer Magazine, "etherial armor". So what you called a mohawk, is actually part of the helmet.

@zinjak He's played by Corey Burton in 2 and three but the first God of War isn't listed in his filmography so I would say it's someone different in the first game. If you compare the voice from GOW to the voice in GOW 2 you'll notice it sounds alot older and wiser much how Zeus should sound not like he's a 35 year old man.
