Learning to communicate and interact with them can be done, its a matter of being accepting and building a bond with these animals. Even if you are accepted, they still have their everyday ability to get shitty at you and put you in your place. It's the same as humans. We just have a different approach of dealing with things.

If your out in the wild (hiking, hunting, camping) and you see a big cat, you put as much distance between you and it as you can. If you kill a deer and a big cat challenges you for it, you let the cat have the deer and slowly make your escape. Why? Because you don't fuck with big cats. If your stupid enough to play with Nature's perfect killing machine you shold be dead. Weed out some of the stupid people.

This is at an animal park called Out of Africa. Most of the animals are rescued from people too stupid to know big kitties act like little kitties in ALL WAYS. Its a wonderful way to educate how powerful tigers can be. You can also feed the tigers too! Its in Camp Verde, AZ. I enjoy wolf splash too. I used to go to this place all the time.

you have to think of the converse. people of often mislead to think these animals even are 'tame' or 'domesticated.' if you are willing to get in the cage with these -still cubs- then you've made a big mistake. tons of keepers and circus 'tamers' as one docile animal gets moody

Just because they are not domesticated does not make them wild.
They're pretty tame anyways, the same as my cat really. Happy to play with me until I do something wrong and then she goes for the throat.
The only difference is these guys are bigger.

not a chance. the house cat has syntrophically coexisted with humans and has evolved over thousands of years. studies have shown that they have tended to abandon the typical asocial, solitary characteristics of felids and have become adapted to live socially with humans and other animals.
these tigers are still adolescents and are still imprinting. the closer they get to adulthood, the more docile, solitary, and dangerous they become. the sad part is when they do act, they are always killed.

savage beasts? remember that zoo tiger attack? to quote chris rock: "that tiger didn't go crazy, that tiger just went tiger." if hungry, a tiger's job is to kill and eat. these tigers were probably just fed and had no motive for chase. they are hardly savage-if hungry, their job is to kill. nothing savage about that; they are just doing what they are designed to do.

i know... but your implication was that some think they WOULD BE CONSIDERED savage if they attacked a baby or an orphan- because even if they did, that is not an evil act but a normal one. then when it happens, the animal is immediately shot. this happens because people are inclined to look at exhibitions like this and assume they can be tamed and are not 'wild.' but when they do "lash out," er i mean, behave normally. not tame, not domesticated... but in fact, wild.

1. tigers have evolved over millions of years, not millennia.
2. the desire to domesticate dogs was out of their ability to rely on a family-oriented lifestyle. obviously cats are solitary- even most housecats prefer time by themselves.
3. there are thousands of dog attacks every year and hundreds of fatalities. imagine what a 'domestic' tiger would do to those stats.
4. any opportunity to breed was lost long ago, as we have destroyed the tiger population to almost nothingness.

these are enormous simplifications. the point of bringing the dog deaths was not to highlight the portrayal of savagery, but to note that if tigers were kept in homes, fatalities would skyrocket.
the imprinting on humans that has been established in house cats is complex and there is proof that it has been founded genetically as well. my cats wont touch their bowl until i physically feed them- they wont even eat if someone else does it. a tame tiger is nothing more than a fed tiger.

Genetics have little to do with your cats. What you are describing is domesticating your cat. If you've ever seen wild cats you'd notice they don't like people, at all. Some feral cat's are only two generations old (from the domestic ones) but are completly wild.
I've seen people that have tigers in there house (on the internet). I'm not saying it's a great idea, I'm just saying it's not impossible

it is totally genetic. there are egyptian accounts of difficulty in domesticating their favorite animal, the sand cat. they bred it over hundreds of years and this is what developed into the common domestic cat. it took generations = genetics.

healthy male and female wolves reach a certain age, they are somehow instinctually inclined to dethrone the alpha male/female. wolves could not be domesticated because humans were killed when the pups reached adulthood and challenged the authority.
my point is, saying size is the only issue is a huge oversimplification. elephants have been domesticated. people who see a bear or big cat raised by people act playfully are falsely inclined to think they are permanently docile. that's the tragedy.

Tree frogs are very terratorial, willing to attack anything that enters there area when they reach a certain age.
Yet we still keep them around the house and around children. Why? because they're not big enough to cause any harm to the people.
Elephants are not kept around the home though and still destroy many peoples lives.
Kangaroo's "can't be tamed", yet I happen to have a friend who's family breeds them and has three in the house.

have you seen domestic elephants? in india where i was for 3 years, sometimes elephants are kept around the house. the only issues arise with bulls during musk, where they have an influx of testosterone (thousands of times more potent than ours) and the humans harmed are usually in the fray. these cases are still rare, and elephants are commonly used to perform tasks.

tree frogs have little to no weaponry, that is a poor example. why not keep a dart frog near children? because touching them could kill you .
