A theory has a different meaning and use in the scientific community than in everyday common use. In English we often use 1 word to mean many different things depending on the surrounding context. A scientific theory is something backed up by lots of research, evidence and testing. It might not always be perfect (gets updated), but its a pretty accurate framework. The layman's use of the word 'theory' is closer in science to the word hypothesis, i.e. a concept which hasn't yet been tested

I don't know about you, but I'm not 100 percent sure about anything. A lot of people believe there is no God, but if proof were shown to them they would accept it. Christians, if proof were shown that there were no God, or that the bible was false, would not accept it. That's what faith is. I think if some atheists would not accept something that was proven to them, they would be just as bad as christians. Of course, the probability of that proof being shown is extremely low.
If Yahweh revealed himself directly and empirically to me, in an experience that I could confirm with several witnesses and tangible proof, then yes, I would certainly believe in him.
Then I guess our definition of "know" is different. Because if i Find out i'm wrong I don't say "oh wow, now I know something different" I say. ." To answer your assertion, Creation occurred about 6,000 year ago. I was born long after God created the world. I just got some feedback recently that some of my former students are on the dean's list at their respective institutions, and carrying 4.0 GPA's. I've had that feedback a number of times. They are my former science students.

The notion of self, the notion of the person as a unit, it's all in the concept of linking things together in an abstract way. A theory has a different meaning and use in the scientific community than in everyday common use. In English we often use 1 word to mean many different things depending on the surrounding context. A scientific theory is something backed up by lots of research, evidence and testing. It might not always be perfect (gets updated), but its a pretty accurate framework. The layman's use of the word 'theory' is closer in science to the word hypothesis, i.e. a concept which hasn't yet been tested

I don't know about you, but I'm not 100 percent sure about anything. A lot of people believe there is no God, but if proof were shown to them they would accept it. Christians, if proof were shown that there were no God, or that the bible was false, would not accept it. That's what faith is. I think if some atheists would not accept something that was proven to them, they would be just as bad as christians. Of course, the probability of that proof being shown is extremely low.

Basically, the use of the word "Creation" is begging the question; the Earth as we know it is not created so much as formed as the result of natural cosmic processes already in motion. Having watched this video, I still see no reason to believe in Jehovah. It's simply silly. Atheists don't appreciate the influence religion has on the world we live in. How would you feel if politics and laws and wars were the result of people arguing over varying beliefs in unicorns? Would you want your president to say "Unicorns Bless America" every time they appear in public? Would you enjoy being told you deserve to be tortured for eternity for not believing in or worshipping unicorns? Think about it honestly, and you'll understand why atheists need to speak out.

It's not a thing of superstition. Judaism as a religion is set up to provide lots of physical reminders to Jews about their religious obligations. Every time you eat kosher food, pray, touch the mezuzah on the side of a door, or even write G-d's name you are supposed to think about your responsibility to G-d to treat people well and fulfill the commandments.Writing a dash is a part of that Not all Jews do it. Some religious Jews say ain't needed. Have a good day!! :)

Homie I'm not trying to make you Jewish. I don't know why you're getting offended. I'm not proselytizing, just answering your question. Judaism is just one way of living that provides me with community, meaning, & structure, but I'm not trying to hate on you so maybe take a breath before you get so sarcastic.
Also, in case things are getting mixed up, I don't agree w/ how this vid tries to "convince" people of G-d.How ppl treat others is most important, not belief in G-d.

I think you're criticizing something you don't know much about, because you think Judaism is only based on Torah, but slavery was outlawed in Talmud centuries ago. Judaism isn't just Torah, but Neviim, Ktuvim, Pirkei Avot, Gemarah, Mishneh, modern tshuvot, and many other things.
