hi im starting a discus tank myself :) and im wondering what is some good filtering options ?? i have 2 canisters and a aquaserene on it now my tank is 125 gallons any ideas ?? or will i be ok i have 6 discus now and wanna get 6 more and look into breeding :) let me know if you have any input thanks beautiful tank i stop by here sveral times a week to admire this :)

meu amigo... bela coleção de discus!!!.....parabéns só que precisa retirar alguns pois tem muitos aglomerados e talvez isso tira um pouco do encando do aquario.... e acaba poluindo mais deixando o ambiente menos agradavel e stressando alguns deles.......mas parabéns...pelos belos exemplares!!!!

Parabéns pelo seu aquário! Eu tenho um com acarás bandeiras, mexiricas, rosáceos, cruzeiro, colisas (amarelos, neon blue e sangue). Ainda vou criar discos, mas ainda não me acho experiente o suficiente para isso.

ah, vi agora no comentário abaixo que voce possui um Mega hiper ultra sistema de filtro com 4 canister. Só assim para manter os parametros da agua em ordem..

pq dizem que os discos alteram muito esses parametros por serem peixes grandes..

essas plantas sao naturais?

vc faz co2 pra elas?

@flamepeace Tenho co2 sim mais não estou usando, co2 deixa a agua acida tern que ter cuidado, as plantas são naturais sim, crescem rapido precisa de polda sempre, tenho poucas mais da trabalhos sim, com essa quantidade de peixes. não pode vacilar na comida quaquer erro, não tem filtragem que seja eficiente, por isso, ja sei a quatidade certa de raçao, tenho um dosador de ração que libera a quantidade certa por dia, não me preoculpo, é só ficar atento.

@flamepeace Nunca tive problema com população, mas da trabalho manter a agua num nível exelente, tirei 02 casais, coloquei em outro aquario para postura, na quinta desova segurou, já tenho mais de 100 filhotes de blue diamond com 4 cm, vendi outros 05 mais fracos, hoje tenho neste aquario, 18 discus grandes.

@betinhowar1 Boa tarde, hoje tenho 04 Canister Jebo, sendo 02, 835 e 02, 829 um filtro, UV Jebo 7W e duas bombas internas adpatadas para receber elemento filtrante Aquashine é composto por celulose de algodão, Limpo esse filtro toda semana, o Caniste 2 em cada dois meses

If the fish look good and you keep the water clean I think its fine to overcrowd the tank a bit, what I dont get is how you can have all those expensive fish and a big tank like that and having the aquascaping look like a 5 year old did it, it doenst look natural at all

se tiveres ai 25 discus... que tens mais, esse aqua teria de ter no minino 1250 litros...

Segundo Dick Au é possível manter com saúde e desenvolvimento muito bom discos adultos a partir de 20 litros por peixe, como ai nem todos são adultos não vejo problema. Os animais estão lindos, com uma cor impressionante meu sonho ter um aqua assim um dia.
