The scary part about this scene is that this was really done in Vietnam. In the book "Marine Sniper" the author talks about the VC doing this. Finding very aggressive rats and and doing this until the tortured individual would die. They'd basically tie the bag and walk away. It generally took a while for the rats to kill the person. What a horrible way to die.
