@maninmovie No, Access Virus are using Fatar keyboards, same as in Roland A-70. Personally, I very much dislike those keys, they are simply unnaturally big and have weird shape. Korg Wavestation is using Yamaha keyboard. I disassembled a Wavestation once, removed the keyboard, and it says dead center Yamaha on it, which makes sense, because Yamaha owned more then 50% shares of Korg before M1 sold in big numbers and allowed Korg to break free of Yamaha. I believe M1/T3 keyboard is Yamaha
@dvamateur Roland A70 has Roland's own keybed, not Fatar: it's the 76-key version of the D-50 "sticky red glue" keybed, it's called SK-760 and it was mounted on D-70 and Rhodes Model 760 too. Roland and Yamaha have always had keybeds of their own. Korg has been using Yamaha ones till the 01W series as I recall, don't know about newer models.
Thanks for posting this, about the Korg T3 - a cool synth when programmed optimally. The T3 contains 90 additional PCM's that the M1 does not have. The factory sounds are nowhere nearly as good as it is capable of producing. The best synth patches (choir & others) for this classic synth can be found at manymidi.com
Dvamatteur NEED your help - any info would be great (first off your song was amazing) I am about to buy the T3- the pre-sets- are AMAZING - much more "synthy" than the M1 however, some classic presets are in the M1 - I have one and a Rom card iwth the pre-sets - these can be loaded into the T3- it seems the T3 has 100 spaces in another bank B or A I think - if so is there a button on the T3 that says down load card or someothing - any help from you or anyone on here would be great!
@realguy640 yes it does have a button to load the sounds from a rom card,go to disk and with the buttons on your right side of the screen scroll up till you get to load from card, the only thing is youll get sounds on bank A and COMBI at the same time, but youre gonna have bank B remaining untouched with the original presets..good luck
@nokia3210fuck You can treat the M1 as a sub-set of the T3. Meaning, T3 contains everything that M1 has, plus it adds additional 4MB of sample ROM (8MB total), 3.5" floppy disk drive, 240x80 dot LCD, and what most people overlook, the T3 has a very impressive set of MIDI ports, 6 total, I believe, so it makes an excellent MIDI controller. I actually like the M1 visually, but they didn't have the M1 in good condition, so I got the T3.
@nokia3210fuck Yeah, they both have 8MB sample ROM, and most likely the samples are all the same. Only the T1 was different, because I think it had a unique Bosendorfer piano sample, to utilize its 88-key weighted keyboard.
@adyson44 X series are the worse built series ever. Buttons died fast and the sounds were a 2nd rate quality when compared to M1 also the LCD display was such a bad design.
hello dvamateur i can see you are a great keyboardist playing those great sounds,i modified my m1 emulating a lot of sounds that came on the d50,if you want to check my videos,i own myself a m1,t3,roland d50,01wfd,trinity and a n364 that i modified as well and i put the same sounds from my m1 into my t3,please check em out and comment....thanks.
@lunarman44 I am not sure if it's really a song, and I am not good with music reading, never mind writing the notes! Nonetheless, the chords go something like that: C, F, G, F, C, etc. Then it goes D, G, E, Am, F#, B, and you know, you get the idea.
@Stoney3K ha ha, computer weekend is in a different key, and much better arrangement. I have really no clue what I am playing in this silly video, but it has definitely been inspired by the Computer Weekend, which I like very much.
Nice video bro...the t3 is newer than the m1 I hear, does the t3 have the same saxes, guitars, trumpets, choirs as the m1? What are the main differences if any? Thanks!
@Michoacano530 T3 has all the sound of the M1. The T3 has the same 4MB ROM sounds as the M1, plus additional 4MB ROM samples unique to the T series. In addtion, the T3 has a disk drive and larger LCD. Other than that, they are basically the same instruments, meaning all the M1 cards will work on the T3 flawlessly.
@dumapies This means that you should probably replace the internal battery. It's not a big deal, it's like a batter in a watch, just a little bigger. It's cheap (3 pack for $10 at RadioShack). I changed the battery in my 03R/W very easily. I think Korg doesn't have a tendency to solder the batter in like Yamaha does, so it should be hassle free with Korg. The battery tape is CR-2032. Oh yeah, you'll lose all your RAM sounds when you do that, so make sure you backup your custom sounds.
@dvamateur or it can do like that, provide backup 3V power to the keyboard, with backup connected, replace batery, and then disconnect the backup power , so which one is easyest, backuping keyboards memory, or, connecting backup power....
@mdaljev1 Nah... That's an overkill. Just backup the sounds to a computer via MIDI. This is the only sane way to do it. This is what the MIDI and SysEx messages are for.
@TheBAGGEN If you can count, here it goes: BOSS DR-550,BOSS DR-880,Casio CT-240,HT-700(x2),CZ-5000,CZ-1(x2),VZ-1(x2),VZ-10M(x2),PG-380,Korg 03/RW,Wavestation SR,Wavestation EX,Wavestation A/D,T3,Minimoog Voyager OS,Roland D-50,Roland D-550,S-770,XV-88,GP-100,TD-7,Sony DPS-V55,Yamaha DX7,TX7,DX7II/FD,TX802,CS1x,S80,A3000,QX3(x2),QY10,QY700,RX5,KX5,WX5,VL-70m.
@Noebaco You got me. I am well aware of M1ex which has the same 8 MB weveform memory as the T series, and Wavestation EX. I am not sure I remember the T ex series.
It's not really a number, it's some ad-hoc playing. It was probably influenced quite a bit by Jean Michel Jarre's Computer Weekend, but it is still far from, different key, different sounds and all, and different cords too. I wasn't expeciting anyone to identify this kind of playing as a "number".
Are you serious man? This is kind of a cheesy video. Anyway, thanks for the kind words, although I don't speak French, or whichever language it is you wrote in.
