I've played it, its great. Any WoW fans, get ready for your next MMO because this is it. Haven't got indepth into PVP or PVE yet so that is still a toss up and the deciding factor for most people. but everything else feels smooth and responsive ( like WoW) well polished

given that all graphics are made of triangles, swtor's hero engine seems to render the least amount necessary. graphics totally taking a backseat in this game, hopefully gameplay is fun enough

final fantasy 14 comes out before this though (not to mention tera online, diablo 3 and guild wars 2 all have the same vague release date as swtor, some of them hinting at an earlier release), so if thats fun i probably wont even try this

@LlamaKangaroo the graphic isn't that bad at all , it's more than enough for a 2010 quality MMO, you obviously never played any Bioware RPG to see how they roll and that they don't let anyone down mostly with this being their first MMO and with all that pressure on them , im more then sure that it won't fail at all,you pretty much play games only if the graphic is impecable, they dumbed down to most people play without lagging in a huge fight, because there's a lot of explosions and shinny stuff

@walmartian Since this is an Alpha version,players can't pull aggro,so monsters are not hostile.

In the official version,mobs will be more hostile towards you as you level up to the point where they will attack you with no compromise,some monsters will be 100% aggressive even in low levels.

I think graphics are almost as important as gameplay (I like to be visually immersed in my gameplay) and from what I have seen so far, this game is going to offer both quite well.

I hope they add a space counterpart in the future because that would be icing on the cake. If not, I'll still play it.

SWG is what started it all, and it has a lot of good features to offer, even after the NGE update (or downdate, however you wish to see it). I am still a huge fan of SWG, because I am a fan of Star Wars, not just being a level 90 Combat Medic. I hope it keeps the good and discards the bad.

It was far more in depth then most other games and very complex with a plethora of classes to play and actually required skill. It wasnt until the CU and NGE that it went down hill. As of late however they're doing a decent job at keeping good patches coming out but the game as a whole wont last much longer.

Maybe its just me but in all the mainly ranged combat vids ive seen, it doesnt appear to have that feel of on your feet fighting and by that i mean mainly the way a fight flows. All the combat seems to just be planting your feet in range of mob A and pressing a desired skill and watch the animation.

I would like to see running and maintained fire as is to be expected from classes like a trooper or BH or smuggler. Could just be me but the stand still burst fire doesnt do it for me =/

I think he is suposed to be a DPS. He deals like 10x what they was dealing to him. But yeah they said they want you to feel like a heroe so you should be able to take on multiple people regardless. The only way i could see them doing this is healing abilities or something along them lines.
