@jeremiahtrue1 They can definitely be killed - they get snipped to pieces. We had one killer that ended up killing around 15 crabs in our habitat. He was vicious.

I have hermit crabs and I notice that sometimes they will try and sometimes successfully clamp on to another hermit crab's appendages and try to pull it out of the shell so they can steal it. They make an urk-urk-urk sound when they are being assaulted like that. One crab I caught recently, a red one was too big for its shell, and upon being put into the crabitat, IMMEDIATELY ran up to the nearest fellow hermie and tried to steal its shell.
