Our English class is learning and reading Twain and we were talking about this. my English teacher things we should be aloud to read it when we read other books that can b much worse, also that this is a classic and a great book to read. So instead we are reading A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court

Wow, I never knew how old the books I read really were. I read Huck Finn in 8th grade and I read Farenheit 451 just last year as a freshman.

I loved most of the classics. such as: grapes of wrath, huckleberry finn, tom sawyer,etc...

I liked "The Catcher in the Rye" which was also mentioned as a book on that list.

@Smartboy8877 I read that book in 9th grade...that book book got noteriety because of Mark David Chapman (John Lennon's killer).

Also the guy who would kill Rebecca Schaeffer ("My Sister Sam") 1 year later had been reading that book.

I remember hearing about how Mark David Chapman referred to himself as "The Catcher in the Rye" of this generation! He was really mess!
