  • id love to dance this on my wedding day.. <3

  • Everyone who really listens to Queen knows!

  • it sounds boundlessly romantic and sophisticated... soooo Freddie, My LOVE <3 <3 <3

  • This song is amazing because it combines the softest/campest elements of Queen's compositions with an interlude of some of the heaviest rock writing in their back-catalogue! Only Queen can pull off putting polar-extremes together in one song! =]

  • To me this is actually an art-rock. Any genre in this name? They made the rock songs to that level that it makes me feel that on a nice autumn afternoon, where nature created a canvass of white cloud on a blue sky...on the background of a glaring red sun-set.

Alas! Why do good people die so early.

  • Sometimes I feel that Queen’s intelligent lyrics, the very complicated and intricate and yet very melodious compositions went way over the normal people, that they did not get the deserved recognition they deserved.

To me Queen should be only THE most top selling group way before anybody else..They should be top most 5 people to ever listen to.

  • Freddie, come back to me!

  • @cbar0x no!TO ME!

  • @cbar0x Muhahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

  • freddy mercury eres .............me quedo sin palabras para describirte

  • John plays a blinder on this.

  • love it

  • 1:12 :D

  • Respect, omg, deep respect

  • whos John deacon?

  • @nerdflanders8710 The bassist. Shows you're a fan.

  • @nerdflanders8710 As proven by your comment, the most underrated musician in history. ;)

  • @HolyJoe09 whats so great about this bass line? Freddy wrote it and its a great song. the bass line detracts from it. John Deacon sucks balls AND ass.

  • @nerdflanders8710 SHUT UP

  • @Mariely70 no. get fucked. whats so great about this bassline? Its nothing special.

  • @Mariely70 Just ignore this cunt, he listens to Van Halen, has no taste ;)

  • 2:51-3:25- one of the reasons why Queen is so special ;-)

  • 2:47 onwards. (Y)

  • john deacon...is the best

  • An Evening With Queen 1974-1976 2DVD set, Queen Live at Earl's Court 1977 DVD available at Tommygun Video please see our Youtube channel for link/details/clips

  • Genius composition, to be honest.

  • OMFG THIS BASSLINE IS SO FUCKING FILTHY

  • I love how they end that hard rock part with a piano solo at 2:40

    GGEENNIIUUSS!

  • BRIAN MAY'S SOLO IS FUCKIN AMAZING!

  • I love this song.

  • genuis

  • Every song I've ever heard by this band is an absolute ear-gasm...hence why they are now and forever will be my favorite band of all time...

  • the dietrich part has me lol forever

    yes, totally bewildering.

  • The bassline in this is fucking AMAZING

  • Most underrated queen song ever. Except for March of the Black queen, Then it is the second most! haahaa

  • Last chance for you # lushfmlk.info #

  • i love the guitar solo

  • just when you think you've heard all of a band's genius, you listen to the album that your dad didn't have and you're blown away, asking "why?"

  • onlinemuxic(dot)tk

  • Queen could make and play any kind of music. That's why it can't be compared to others. It's really above other bands.

  • Queen is the most underrated band of all time...I didn't even know who they were until I was 13. I'm 17 now. This song and all their others should be sooo well known because they are fantastic. Now, people in America are begining to take notice of Queen...well atleast teenagers and such that are into pop and all that stuff cause of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry who like love Freddie...but I REALLY love him

  • @sara1893 I'm scared. You said EXACTLY what I wanted to say.

Our ages are the same and everything!!!

  • - Freddie Mercury in an interview on Capital Radio: "Actually I'd like to say that Brian (May) did do a very good job on the actual guitars. He's really taken his guitar orchestration to its limits, I don't know how he's ever going to out do that one actually. And John (Deacon) played very good bass on that. I think it's good and we're patting ourselves on the back again. I really think it's worked out well especially from the orchestration point of view.

  • @fmarsong Freddie never fails to give credit to his colleagues, truly a legend as an artist and a human being <3

  • Freddie cuanto más te escucho más te amo.

BRIAN MAY EL SONIDO DE ESAS CUERDAS ME LLEGAN A LO MÁS PROFUNDO DEL CORAZÓN, EN TODOS LOS TEMAS DE QUEEN, Y EN ESTA ESPECIALMENTE

  • One of my top 5 favorite Queen songs, love the grandness of it, no one else has done music like this. And like all Queen songs it makes me just plain happy to be alive. And Freddie breathing and sighing at 3:28-3:50.....I fall in love with him all over again every time I listen to that part.

  • Only Freddie could make such a song, simply great !

  • Oh, Freddie.

  • This song is wonderful. The song itself is just great, but the bass & guitars are just incredible !!

  • this song always makes my heart feel light and happy. Three words though, IMPOSSIBLE BASS RIFF!!!!

  • No-one really knows.. but actually Deaky is the silent power behind queen. :D

  • Aye, this is a fact.

  • yes i agree. if only they had him sing songs like the rest of the band members, people would look at him more. but he did have some amazing lyrics, particularly Another One Bites the Dust and Spread Your Wings

  • they were GENIUS...FREDDIE MERCURY WAS A GENIUS, IS A GENIUS...BRAVO FREDDIE MERCURY FOREVER

  • Charge of the LOVE brigade sounds so gay, but that's why I love it. This song is pure genius. One of my favorites. I mean, it's a waltz! How many times do you hear that in rock music?

  • I've got a different version of the song at Myspace. You can get there if you click a link in my Youtube channel's profile

  • any reason you can't just upload it to your youtube channel?

  • omg i wish i could play piano like freddie!!! let along sing like him!! but there can only be ONE! love this song by the way... its my favorite at the moment :)

  • One of the BEST Queen songs! Mad guitar solo at 2:51!!!

  • Queen brings the classical and rock genres together perfectly...just impossible to listen to without smiling =]

  • this sounds so british !! GREAT

  • two words... impossible bass!!! But i still love it!!

  • Happy Birthday Mr Mercury we miss you xx

  • I think Freddie is quoting Alfred Tennyson here. "Bring out the charge of the love brigade" is quite close to "The Charge of the Light Brigade" (name of the poem by Tennyson).

  • Freddie was a great pianist, Love Brain's guitaring.

  • Agree with both but I think this song really showcases John on the bass....he is so underrated as both a songwriter and a musician.

  • I totally agree with you John was a great song writer. Another one bites the dust, Sprwad your wings, I want to break free and you're my best friend. He was a great musician it wasn't just bass he could play the piano too. Some great bass too. I liked his long hair too!

  • queen made it fantastic. every other group would have made it sound ridiculous

that's what i call endless gifted

  • god i LOVE this song!!

  • good old fashioned lover boy is on a day at the races, 1976

  • Forever and ever...

  • everybody who says 1980's queen sucks...let me just name of some songs from that decade

play the game, save me, hammer to fall, one vision, its a hard life, another one bites the dust, crazy little thing called love(!), A KIND OF MAGIC, I WANT IT ALL, UNDER PRESSURE, radio gaga, i want to break free, breakthru, who wants to live forever, and good old fashioned lover boy

i just wanna know...how does 80's queen suck???

  • Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy was on Sheer Heart Attack (I believe)... Not 80's Queen. Anyway, Queen never sucked until Freddie died.

  • No, GOFLB was on Day At The Races also, that while I own that album, LOL.

  • oh yeah i wasnt too sure about that one i thought for a second is was on the works but i guess i was wrong

  • I really don't think they suck at all... Paul Rodgers is very talented - but it's just not Queen;)

  • queen never did, nor will, suck.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't like the songs where they use a lot of synthesizer tracks.

  • The didn't use synths until the early 80s

    All albums boasted "no synths!"

  • J'aime la partie 2:48 à 3:26 !

  • @bonitagyalz : Mais, enfin, tout est super!

  • That bass is off the fucking hook

  • One so beautiful example of the genious of Queen... after a kind of Fox-trot (Seaside Rendez-vous): a Waltz.... Mamamia!

  • As Tina Turner would say... simply the best.

    :)

  • all queen members are ...are...damn...i have no words...i can only say thank you all ...john,freddie,roger and brian...THANK YOU!

  • Always liked this one.

I think the first albums are the best ones, heavier than the later albums.

My opinion, needless to curse me or call bad names.

  • I agree wholeheartedly. Queen from 1972-1979 was always better than 1980-1991. Another interesting note, Brian May seems to be the member who wrote the most hard rock songs of the group.

  • He seems so calm and polite huh? :D

  • Yeah everyone says that they were too pop rockish in the 80s but still compare their pop rock to the pop rock of today and if you can't look at their later albums in a different way after doing so then whats up with you? :)

  • Dunno what's wrong with me, I just don't like most of their later music. sorry

  • Para mi... la cancion mas ambiciosa de freddy mercury, una cancion absulutamente hermosa, bien vals... hare un amv con esto n_n!!!

  • Lovely song, especially the end

  • Mercury + May + Taylor + deacon = The pure art of music .. man !! lsn to this song how they make it feel like in 1700's music... they could play anything together ... Queen4ever

  • Queen = best thing that's ever happened to mankind.

  • @TheCryingMachine I taught my wife how to waltz with this song back in 1980.

  • Freddie was a gift to all of us from God. He came to us like a comet and disappeared just as quickly, but shined so brightly when he was with us.

  • How I long for your love!

    Absolutely love this song

  • esta es una de las mas poderosas canciones de todos los tiempos!!!!!! incredible Queen!!!!

  • This song is so beautiful!!

  • BRING out the CHARGE of the LOVE BRIGADE

  • bass line is brilliant in the beginning. amazing song, amazing album.

  • No, the both of you are :-D

  • Say what you will about this, it's John Deacon's clever bass lines that make this song for me.

  • I agree, but I wouldn't assume it was John's Idea, maybe it was Freddies.

  • Queen at they're best. Love it.

  • love that solo sound so cool especialy when theres like 2 guitar

  • It's a multitrack effect which was a tiresome to make in the 70's.

  • Just to think, something that is so simple to emulate now was so difficult about only 30 year ago

  • Actually, there are like 5 or more.

  • QUEEN FOREVER

  • thanks freddie , thanks Queen. You make me feel like a millionare....:)

  • GRANDISSIMO!!!!

  • give a little to me take a little love from me i wanna share it with you (8) this song kick ass !! :D

  • Queen are the best! I got my music teacher to play this on piano. She was pretty good but could of never matched Freddie!! Freddie is a genius on Piano!!! Queen Rock!!!

  • This, Bohemian Rhapsody, Keep Yourself Alive, and The March of the Black Queen are the greatest songs by the greatest band. ever.

  • this is like bohemain rhapsody and march of the black queen together

  • this is such a fun happy, neat song, so many sounds and 'textures' to this brilliant!!!!

  • I LOVE QUEEN

  • I love Queen too =D

The Millionaire Waltz, what a masterpiece.

Every Queen song is so special to me.

    -Kikyou

  • And to me too ;)

    Queen Forever

  • Ich liebe Queen! Kocham Queen

  • Queen rocks!

    I love queen!

    BTW awesome song! :D

  • Nobody made it sound so effortless....

  • *drooling...dazed* Queen is so awesome!

  • Queen is the greatest band ever after the Beatles way better than foo fighters or somthing like that crab they can actually sing and put themselves together into a song

  • Seriously, wtf is that supposed to mean?

  • Queen was is and still is amazing and always will be

they were only truely great from about 1973 to 1991

but they are still bad ass

    and are truely amazing

    =]

    <3

  • Only truly great from 1973- 1991?

That was their whole career as Queen with |Freddie...you dumbass.

  • Queen were & will remain the pride of British rock & the best rock band ever. In my opinion, at least!

I was talking about Freddie today, & someone asked "who's Freddie Mercury?"

    I was flabbergasted.

Just a random piece of info I thought I'd tell...

    Love this song.

  • Hey, we meet again. You got great taste, girl lol

  • i don't know howmany times i have to say it, FREDDY has the greatest vocal talent.

  • There is spring in the air once agaaaain <3

  • Queen<3

    4-eva<3

  • Queen rules from 70's till the moment..they have new generations inlove with their music..Long Live the Queen!!!(anybone dont agree, its up to them to bleed their***s!!in envy)(^v*)

  • indeed.. well said =] xx

  • Oh ha ha (note the sarcasm in my typing)

again i repeat myself.. it is only a matter of opinion..

    xx (oh very funny..) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Queen didnt have a best era.. ALL of Queen was there best era.. xx

  • that sir is a matter of opinion sir.. and i would appreciate it sir if you didnt call me sir.. you're obviously a patronising s.o.b.. sir.. and sir is incorrect sir.. its madam.. sir.. cant you tell im a 15 year old girl from the kisses i put after messages.. SIR?

  • I think 1973-1980 was the golden era. 1991 was the best album since the golden ear. But unfortunately mercury passed away. It weird how some of his lovers survived Hiv infections , while he died. I think Queen got lazy in 1980s. They were more interested in enjoying their fruits of hard work. Only when they had little time left for Freddie did they produce a stellar album.

  • irem, dinledim, cok guzel..:-)

  • I agree w/you about "The Works" -- not as good as all the ones previous... those are too hard to top... even by the 4 geniuses.

  • This is my current favorite song.

    I love it.

    :)

Queen is the greatest band of all time!!!

I'm trying to learn to play the piano part of this, but there's no way in hell I'll ever be able to play it as good as Freddie.

If the majority of bands out there even had HALF this talent...

    Whatever.

    Bottom line, it's amazing.

    :)

  • geniusze

  • The only Queen albums open to criticize are:

Flash Gordon Soundtrack-Hot Space-A Kind Of Magic-IMHO! No true Queen fan can find fault with the 1973-1980 era, once again IMHO!

  • man I totally agree with you!!!

  • right, the 1973-1980 phase was the best, everything else is either kinda boring, or just plain weird.

  • Why? I can agree with flash because it's a pure movie soundtrack and hot space because it's a bit out of their style but why A kind of magic? One vision is right there with their roots. They made it to sound like their classic rock style. And most of the other tracks are good (except for don't loose your head and gimme the prize - those are just too much off for me). I agree with you though their first albums had the best music, but I kinda have to say that innuendo is with their best...

  • This is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ufffffffff aqui no hay beatle que valga!!!!!

Queen es lo maximo y punto!!!

  • I love queen because they can do something almost no-one else can do: make mainstream rock that is complex and complicated while retaining the same awesome feel of being made by human, not machine. I don't know any song more hardcore than "March of the Black Queen"

  • wow, you worded that perfectly...that's exactly why I believe that they are literally the greatest band ever, cuz of those reasons you just stated, im just not as articulate lol

  • ya know..i can play this song a little..its pretty awesome and i didnt even study the notes..its amazing.

  • Guys, I don't know about you...but I really believe that Queen is the greatest band ever.

  • for some reason i agree with you...

  • Me too.

  • psht! no comparison. the best, these "emos" these days dont' write anything compared to Freddie and the band!!

  • Yesss. Just as simple as that. :D

  • All the magic of queen and especially freddie is in this song, toda la magia de queen y en especial de freddie esta en esta cancion.Tutta la magia della regina e, in particolare, è in questo freedie canzone. Все волшебство королева и особенно freedie в этой песне

  • chankakon u forgot Portuguese... =\

    completing:

"Toda a magia dos Queen, e em especial de Freddie, está nesta canção" (I would say 'música' instead of 'canção')

  • espectacular cancion QUEEN IS THE BEST

  • I think they are a very big influence too for following rock/metal bands. Their creativity is one of the biggest. They have mixed so much genre in to a great sppecial lovely sound, not only rock genres, funk and rockabilly and here waltz with rock. Amazing the two greatest band behind the beatles. R.I.P Freddie Mercury you was the best rock singer of all time.
