I find it amusing that Blush's book/movie states that hardcore is a "primitive subculture" that became extince in '86. At the end of the film, one of the Flipper guys says that punk sucks, get over it, etc but here he is on the punk rock oldies circuit. Ironic!

Flipper played with a lot of hardcore bands and appeared on a number of hardcore-oriented compilations back in the '80s, so they kinda got lumped in with it.

Grunge is a term that has no place within 100 miles of this band. You need to learn more about the music world that existed long before Nirvana and Seattle before you use this term to describe a band like Flipper.
