  • Wasn't the weird effects at 0:05 to 0:08 from the song "Desde La Vida" by the obscure band "3" off their album "To the Power of 3"? Because that is some rare ass musical trivia

  • I hate to ask this probably stoopid question, but is this NOT available on itunes? Looked but couldn't find...

  • Now that I finally read the truth about this song....I totally get it now...I used to think this was about someone who allowed his brother to drown...but it was written out of anger when he was going through a divorce

  • You know the song by Phil Collins, "In the Air of the Night"

About that guy who could a saved that other guy from drowning

But didn't, then Phil saw it all, then at a a show he found him?

That's kinda how this is, you could a rescued me from drowning

Now it's too late, I'm on a thousand downers now, I'm drowsy

  • @imadethisformiriam my point is fuck phil collins

  • Very Cool

  • so great and beautiful, congratulations , nice , please more

  • I think this would be a good stripper song!

  • This is a heavy hitter. Awesome. I can drive with this fast and hard!

  • @Wheels4997 Especially at night with no one else on the road in a convertible along the coast...AWESOME!!

  • just one thing is missing... the real 3:40 :)

  • I Agree With The Two People Above Me! I Like The Extended Beats. Great Verson to Dance to! Very Sexy and Phabulous! Two Thumbs up! [Phlip64]

  • Thumb up if this one is way better than the original

  • As nice as this is, I prefer the original...

  • some things really do improve with age. Phil is one of those.

  • after watxhing the hangover i cant listen to this song without thinking of mike tyson

  • Cool edition, the Korg M1 and Wavestation is very dominant in the very beginning! :)

  • No. This remix was published in 1988. Have bought it as it came out.

  • Isn't this the Ben Liebrand 1987 extended remix?

  • I love long versions of songs and this is Great! Good job!

  • the greatest song ever

  • This is a special version that came out in like 92 -3ish or so, it was done by the label he was with then. I saw it on cd many times as a single

  • is there any way you could let me in on where I can find this extended version, what album is it on? thanks Andy

  • Wow I had NO idea that there was an extended version of this song.

  • @DeadSleepers

Sorry, but it isn't. It's the remix from 1988...

  • @deich1969 Thanks for clearing that up.

  • Phil Collins should pay you for this.

  • Normally. I hate when classic, perfect music gets changed.

This is an exception. Well played, sir.

  • Brilliant mix!

  • This is my fav version of this song...........Chicago steppers lets hit the floor......HARD!!

  • this doesnt work for this song. this song is about tension and release.it takes away from the brooding mood. phil doesnt need an extension in this case

  • @steamingbog it's funny that you say that, because when this first came out, many many moons ago, i heard that it's actually Phil himself on the drums creating the additions. it could be wrong, but that's just what i heard.

  • LOve this mix of the song

  • Like if your hear because of Hangover

  • the best version.....the beeeeeest!!!!!

  • Absolut geil der Mix

  • whats extended about it

  • where can i buy this version? ain't on itunes

  • @googlegrl007 well if you have firefox, with dwhelper, and quick media converter, then there is no need for itunes. Firefox has and add on called dwhelper that downloads videos from different sites. after downloading it from here, put it into quick media converter and extract the audio into an mp3 and save in "my music" file, then delete video at your leisure. And that, kids, is how to get music without needing itunes.

  • epic!

  • chill

  • this is a killer song!!! this sampling is nice! my hear on the neck is reising!

  • I totally ADORE this extended mix version! Keep 'em comin'! YEAAAHH!!

  • I like this remix, heavy on the bass and strings, great alternative and the extended version a huge plus. I love to hear the vocals brought up as in the original track. Overall, this is a 9 and an excellent job IMO. Good piece of work!!! Be proud!

  • This is My Favorite Song Of All Time!! Aww the days of jamming to this back in the 80's. You did a Great Job Remixing It!

  • Naaaa. This one's supposed to be minimal and dark, not upbeat. Very, very odd combination. Some record producer didn't "get it" at all.

  • Thanks DJMPM for good music with great Quality. You safed my evening :)

  • Hey I want this extended mix version of this song where and how can I get it it is a sweet mix!

  • The Hangover totally brought this song back

  • I've been looking everywhere for this verison of the song. A radio station called Dublin 98fm in Dublin, Ireland used this verison for Skyfest at the start of the Fireworks in Dublin City. Good Times

  • Da Shyt!!! Wow!!!

  • dude ,,, this *&*^* rocks !!!!!

  • Best Music

  • 1st time I heard this version an LOVE it!!! Thanx Much YOU ROCK!!!

  • I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR YEARS!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!! YOU DA MAN!!!!!!!

  • This song has been one of my favorites, especially in this version where it has more beats in it. Nu Metal band Nonpoint also covered this song, and that song is a real heavy cover of this song. Anyways, all 3 versions are awesome. Phil Collins is one of rock n' roll's most influencial artists, and all his songs are still enjoyable today.

  • I really don't like this--by putting the extra drum machines, synthesizers, etc., it just takes the intensity and uniqueness away from the tune. In the original, the soft, light drum machine and synthesizers at the beginning gives it a kind of eerie, mysterious feeling that gradually builds throughout the whole tune--then the kick-ass drum fill that takes over from there to finish out the song. This version just sounds bland and trite. Sometimes it's best not to mess with the original.

  • @bradchaz I agree. This version isn't as magical as the other, and the added drums throughout lessens the intensity when the big drums come on.

  • @princessbeffer That's why it's so amazing... Everyone expects that drum line... This kicks ass because it's about the song, and NOT about that drum line that you expect...

  • @PACub21 you raise a good point

  • @PACub21 Actually that drum line is EXTREMELY important. You drive through a hurricane and saving lives. You know ERRT is around this is one song I blast through like a siren.

  • @bradchaz fuk u faggot

  • @mesaloco8th What a mature response. I will respond to your junior-high comment in this way: "Go from the presence of the foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge" TRANSLATION: Don't waste your time arguing with an idiot.
