@flawerprincessqa I imagine you could use many different things to do this.. even paper and glue. I chose couplings because of their strength.. this should last a lifetime. =D

That's great, Tom. Are those your Prismacolours? I know you covered the table, but it still made me cringe when you squeezed a puddle of glue on your wife's brand new table.

@Cyber000000 good Lord, no... those are regular Crayola and Roseart... Prisimacolor pencils go for about $1.50 a piece.. ...so if allll those pencils were the HQ brand, it would have costed about $450!!!! Heck, the 80 Prizimacolors I got cost over $100 as it is.. [I got them 40% off at hobby-lobby] they are worth it though.. VERY vivid, and blend PERFECTLY

Nice video. Great idea and very easy to do.

two notes.

1. when you make your measurements you have to remember to add 5mm for the saw-blade. Otherwise every piece will be a bit too small. I know it's not so important in your project but it can cause problems if you want a extreme tight fit.

2. Regular PVA glue is made for wood so use that instead. Strongest bind :)

Respond to this video... awesome tip with the 5mm cutting space!!! I'll definitely start doing that from now on! I never really had a problem with it building speaker boxes and such, but those are larger items too..

@strube1369 maybe so... lol... but they may run out of black.. or maybe golden yellow, then its off to the store again!! rofl!

One of the main reasons for switching to PRISMACOLOR was the ability to buy a single color.. each pencil has a unique item number, so I built a pencil holder for them with a single slot per pencil. Once I run out or lose the pencil, I just look at the item number. cool, huh?
